“You already knew this map was to mislead me?”
Chen Mo guided the Nebula Flying Chariot towards the Zhi Ming Star Image with even more speed. The speed of Qiao Yuyu and Gao Zhen’s riding swords were such that even they could not compare to the flying chariot’s swiftness.
Seeing the Star Image’s spirit stones descend from the heavens one by one, Chen Mo actually was very calm.
Qin Weiyu grunted in affirmation. The moment she saw the map, she realized this map was far from a so-called shortcut to the Zhi Ming Star Image, rather, it even circled around to waste several days. However, Qin Weiyu did not point this out at all, for it was as Qiao Yuyu expected – two great Star Generals were fighting over the Star Mansion Spirit Stones. The only thing that outsiders could do was to be the fisherman that caught both the snipe and the clam.
“Your big brother did this because he was afraid something would happen to you.” Qin Weiyu said.
Chen Mo stroked Nianyou’s soft hair. He knew that.
Qin Weiyu glanced over at Qiao Yuyu and Gao Zhen, “Are you actually going to work together with them?”
“They’re top-notch Fate Realization cultivators. Since Huan Wen has already seized the Star Mansion Spirit Stones first, and these people want to fight over them, too, another helping hand wouldn’t be bad.” Chen Mo felt that with the combined efforts of the two Great Cultivators, perhaps they would have a chance here to be rid of Huan Wen once and for all.
Qin Weiyu did not respond, however, her expression was clearly somewhat disapproving.
…
“Wang Sengbian, so it turned out that the one who spurred the Northern Barbarian tribes to bring disaster to my Great Chong was you, Earthly Juncai Star!”1
Starlights flowed through the ten thousand zhang in the sky above the depths of Weightbearer Mountain, forming the likeness of the Black Turtle. Three of seven shimmering stars had already dimmed. Huan Wen stood below the Zhi Ming Star Image, her hand playing with one Star Mansion Spirit Stone. With an arrogant posture, she looked at the enemy before her.
Fighting against her over the Star Mansion Spirit Stones was a slender woman. Her body was extremely frail, wearing a simple and unadorned long robe. Her hand gripped a long sword, and fresh blood flowed from her arm along the blade’s edge.
The flames of an intense hatred burned in the woman’s eyes, seemingly disintegrating Huan Wen.
“Juncai Star, a two word Star Name. It seems you are making a vain attempt to topple my Great Chong in order to create your own achievements.” Huan Wen judged with icy arrogance: “How can the insignificant Northern Barbarians be a match for the Great CHong.”
“Killing you is also my achievement, Huan Wen!!” Wang Sengbian furiously bellowed and unleashed a ray of killing intent that was as fierce as a tiger towards Huan Wen. The Star Weapon long saber in her hand was named “Fangshan Eastern Cloud,”2 and its slash was like a chain of red clouds that tore open the black curtain of night. Its might was far beyond what a cultivator’s power could resist.
Huan Wen used her Cold Night Locked Moon Spear to block.
The next instant, Wang Sengbian was already in front of her, enormous Star Energy flowing swiftly. Wang Sengbian had Concentrated Fiend Late Stage, and she trained in the Northern Barbarian lands; she considered herself unparalleled in the world.
Saber-lights moved to and fro, their trajectories untraceable.
After ascending to Yellow Court Realm, Huan Wen’s Concentrated Fiend Star Energy seemed to trample over the earth, multiplying without end. Wang Sengbian’s super ferocious swordsmanship was executed to the point of perfection, her blade moving freely.
The Cold Night Locked Moon Spear and the Fangshan Eastern Cloud Saber struck again and again with gigantic and sharp swathes of Star Energy, making Weightbearer Mountain endlessly quake and fragment, as if an earthquake was occurring.
Wang Sengbian embodied the tought martial arts she had trained in the Northern Barbarian lands. Against Huan Wen’s oppressive Realm, she did not shrink back in the slightest.
“Yellow Rank: Long Fence Hunting!”3
“Yellow Rank: Water Breaker!”4
“Yellow Rank: Eastern Flow!”5
Three perfect Yellow Rank Saber Techniques made three deep cuts appear in Huan Wen’s Cold Frost Armor, and Huan Wen herself was injured. “It seems that cultivating in these Northern Barbarian lands have been very beneficial to you, Wang Sengbian. Although your Star Energy is meager, it will be enough to surpass This Highness’ after a few decades.”
“Huan Wen, you merely relied on a superior environment in order to have a single word Star Name. Hm, hm, I wonder what Elder Sister you have that still treats you so well even when her own Little Sister is sucking away her Star Energy.”
Huan Wen’s gaze filled with a murderous intent.
“This Highness will have you utterly destroyed right now!”
Earthly Attacking Star Seven Stars’ Yellow Rank Chest Opener. Spear-light drilled into Wang Sengbian’s torso as swift as lightning, causing a pillar of blood to spurt out high into the air.
Wang Sengbian’s expression changed. Huan Wen’s Realm exceeded her expectations; she was unable to defend against a Yellow Court’s Yellow Rank.
Suddenly, an anomaly manifested in the Zhi Ming Star Image in the sky. The fourth Star Mansion Spirit Stone, representing “emptiness,” fell from the sky. When Wang Sengbian saw this, she threw herself over. The Fangshan Eastern Cloud Saber flashed with three stars. In an instant, crimson-light emerged with her sword draw, like dawn rising in the east, illuminating Weightbearer Mountain.
The crimson saber-light covered Huan Wen’s face and slashed.
Surprisingly, this was a Dark Rank Technique, “Mountain Sunrise Splitter!”6
Wang Sengbian fought for the Black Turtle Star Mansion Spirit Stone, using all of her power to activate her Dark Rank.
“You think a Dark Rank can defeat This Highness. How deluded. Today is your Starfall day, Wang Sengbian.” Huan Wen was unafraid. She circulated her Star Energy to the extreme, and she similarly unleashed a Dark Rank.
Spear-light twisted and pranced like tigers and dragons, clashing with one another.
Wang Sengbian evidently had already foreseen this, “You intrude into my Northern Barbarians lands. Huan Wen, do you think you can leave this place alive! Once I kill you, the Great Chong’s death will be certain!” When she finished, all of a sudden, four earth-shattering forces charged out of the mountain. Four enormous iron men seemed to have waited a long time for this, seizing the moment Huan Wen used her Dark Rank to launch an attack from all sides.
These four iron men were as large as elephants. The power of a dragon manifested when they punched, and their power was strong enough to shake Weightbearer Mountain.
These four people were the Northern Barbarian’s Four Great Warriors.7 They were extraordinarily gifted and possessed peak level cultivation. While they did not specifically practice a sword chant, they still cultivated the Northern Barbarians’ natural brute strength. The force of their strength was able to uproot trees and reverse waterfalls. Even a Star General would need to respect them.
They were also Wang Sengbian’s favorite pupils. Already having planned in advance for this fight over the Black Turtle’s seven Mansion Spirit Stones, they knew that Huan Wen would inevitably come to seize them. Wang Sengbian had specially ordered the various Northern Barbarian tribes to pressure the Great Chong Dynasty so they could not transfer manpower. Then, she secretly arranged for the Northern Barbarian’s strongest Four Great Warriors to ambush Huan Wen after she used her Dark Rank.
“Dark Rank” was the strongest technique that a Yellow Court Realm Star General could comprehend. For a Star General to use their Dark Rank, they would be considered as having exhausted their options, and they would enter into a weakened state. This was the best time to attack.
The Four Great Warriors’ expressions were vicious as a tiger’s as they attacked with divine might.
Four formidable and powerful forces thundered into Huan Wen’s body. Wang Sengbian seized the chance to secure her long saber and took the Emptiness Star Mansion Stone into her sack. The Black Turtle Star Image’s seven Spirit Stones could only display their strongest might when all of them were together, however, as long as she killed Huan Wen, the rest would naturally fall into her pocket as well.
Seeing Huan Wen was trapped by the Four Great Warriors, Wang Sengbian sneered, “Huan Wen, die!” The woman shouted. The Fangshan Eastern Cloud once again unleashed a red light that split mountains and devoured the heavens.
The Four Great Warriors also brandished heavy punches at the same time.
It was like a an enormous mountain was pressing onto Huan Wen’s body. This type of formidable pressure actually made her feel her Yellow Court Star Energy break apart.
Danger was imminent.
At this moment, Huan Wen revealed her fame as Earthly Attacking Star Seven Stars, the might of the Great Chong Dynasty’s number one Star General. Against such a trap, the girl was unmoved. A murderous, bone-chilling grin blossomed on the corner of her lips.
Her expression was bloodthirsty.
“Then, die!”
Huan Keyan arrogantly declared. Her body spun, and her spear thrust. Spear-light flowed along the weapon and spread in all directions. Star Energy that was calm as running water appeared completely harmless, but the moment it came into contact with the power of the Four Great Warriors, it turned into ice and snow.
A phoenix-like phantom emerged from her spear-shadow.
“Not good!!”
Wang Sengbian’s smile suddenly vanished and turned into an expression of endless horror: “Run, now!!”
Too late.
Before the Four Great Warriors could react, Huan Wen’s Cold Night Spear froze their bodies. The next instant, the entire bodies of the four stocky and iron men split apart, shattering both in name and reality.
The leftover Star Energy blew apart Wang Sengbian’s Dark Rank “Mountain Sunrise Splitter,” stabbing into the woman’s body like an ice dragon. Wang Sengbian screamed, and the Star Crest on her forehead suddenly dimmed. Though she screamed, Wang Sengbian was still worthy of being called one who trained with the Northern Barbarians. She suffered such a heavy strike, but she regained her footing, turned and fled.
An ecape light promptly vanished into the deep mountain.
Huan Wen smirked and watched Wang Sengbian’s sorry figure fleeing away. She did not pursue. With such heavy wounds, Wang Sengbian was already unable to last another blow.
Very quickly, a man and woman ran out from the forest.
“Supreme General Chen Qi, hurry and pursue Wang Sengbian. Do not let her escape, otherwise, This Palace will ahve questions for you.”
Chen Qi respectfully cupped his fist, stepped onto a Flying Sword, and launched a pursuit.
The remaining girl naturally was Jiang Yanyu. She looked at Huan Wen somewhat in astonishment. “Phoenix Dark Rank. Yanyu did not expect Elder Sister Huan Wen to unexpectedly comprehend a Phoenix Dark Rank.”
“Jiang Yanyu, you also pursue Wang Sengbian with Chen Qi together. This time, you cannot allow her to escape. She is a threat to the Great Chong Dynasty.” Pausing, Huan Wen added: “With your Inner Star Field cultivation, it would be best to kill Chen Qi along with her.”
“Yanyu will do as much as she can. Supreme General Chen Qi certainly will not be easy to handle.” Jiang Yanyu forced a smile. Her Flying Sword manifested, and the light of misty rain raced into the mountains.
Although she had killed the Northern Barbarian’s Four Great Warriors, she had sustained injury. She sat down to recover, also collecting the remaining three Star Mansion Spirit Stones while she was at it.
“You gutless scoundrels have peeped long enough. Presumably, you lot want to catch both the snipe and the clam. This Highness’s mood is not bad. If you do not wish to die, get lost!”
Huan Wen opened her eyes and scornfully barked.
Apparently unable to bear her taunts, or perhaps seeing that Huan Wen’s injuries were an opportunity, a man and woman finally attacked from the forest. A hundred Flying Swords became a downpour of rainbow lights that fell towards Huan Wen.
“We will kill you, Huan Wen. As of this moment, we will also have the qualifications to enter the Inner Star Fields.”
The two attacking cultivators were none other than Qiao Yuyu and Gao Zhen.
When Chen Mo and the others raced to the vicinity of the Zhi Ming Star Image, they happened to catch sight of Huan Wen being surrounded by the Four Great Warriors. From Gao Zhen, they learned that these Four Great Warriors were first-rate cultivators, comparable to Third Layer Greater Thunder Tribulation in strength. With their sneak attack combined with Wang Sengbian’s Dark Rank, even if Huan Wen had Yellow Court Realm she would be very heavily injured if not dead.
But who could have imagined that in the next moment, Huan Wen would suddenly turn the tables, surprisingly using a Dark Rank stronger than Wang Sengbian’s to not only break the Earthly Juncai Star’s Mountain Sunrise Splitter, but to also even instantly turn the Four Great Warriors to dust, where not even a speck of them remained.
This scene shook even Chen Mo.
Afterwards, Big Brother Chen Qi and Jiang Yanyu left in succession to pursue Wang Sengbian, but Chen Mo had not come to his senses yet.
“Chen Mo, you must listen to me this time. Run away, now. Do not have any more thoughts of killing Huan Wen.” Qin Weiyu’s expression had an unprecedented seriousness.
“What the hell is Huan Wen’s technique? How is it so powerful?” Chen Mo was disturbed. This was the first time he had seen such a thing.
“A Phoenix Dark Rank!”
