Chen Mo did not understand why she would refuse the stones. “Is this because you do not wish to have any connection to Your Servant?”

“No, you put your life on the line to obtain these Seven Star Stones. Your Servant does not wish to become someone who reaps without sowing. The battle experience against the White Tiger is already enough.” Li Qingyi said: “Besides, these Seven Mansion Star Stones were already refined inside your body for some time. Your Servant does not want stones like these.”

Li Qingyi very very disdainfully pursed her mouth. “Having given you even greater aid, perhaps we can become allies in the future.”

Chen Mo could not help but break into a grin. “I also really want to be friends with you, Qingyi.”

“Qingyi, are you and your man done flirting yet, should it not be My turn now?” Zhiyan could not stand to watch the two silently stare at one another any longer. This was too sappy.

“Zhiyan, you also want to flirt with me?” Chen Mo said with interest.

“Don’t forget, Zhiyan also made contributions to your White Tiger hunt. You owe Me a favor. Qingyi may not want the Seven Star Stones, but Zhiyan wants to keep a few to play with.” Zhiyan giggled.

“Zhiyan.” Li Qingyi shouted.

“Don’t speak up for your man.” Zhiyan stopped her: “I will give him a chance to keep the Seven Star Stones. Perhaps I can even play together with you later.”

“To be able to play together with Little Sister Zhiyan, this is an opportunity I certainly must grasp.” Chen Mo was earnest.

“I will ask you a question, and you will answer.”

“Please, ask.”

“What is Zhiyan’s Star Name?”

“Zhiyan, do not make things difficult for him. You only met each other once before, how could he possibly know your Star Name.” Li Qingyi shook her head.

“Don’t worry about your man. Your man said he already knew back at the Western Fields.” Zhiyan smiled.

“Hm, really?” Li Qingyi showed an astonished expression, completely forgetting about Chen Mo continuously being referred to as her man.

“Then I’ll say it?” Chen Mo hinted.

“If you truly know, then Qingyi should also know.” Zhiyan nodded. She was sure that no one knew, “Your Servant shall remind you first that Mine is no Su Qin Star Name. Back then, even the Purple Rose Star Emperor did not know.” The Mysterious Chauffeur Of Star World swore.

“Gongsun Yan,1 Gongsun Zhiyan. Did Your Servant guess correctly?” Chen Mo cupped his fist.

Zhiyan’s eyes widened. She said in excitement: “How did you know?”

As expected, she was Gongsun Yan.

There was not much about the School Of Diplomacy in history. In terms of experts of the “Vertical Alliance,”2 Gongsun Yan and Su Qin were the most famous. There was some debate regarding just who was historically the creator of the “Vertical Alliance.” The Records of the Grand Historian and the Strategies of the Warring States both recognized Su Qin, but the “Works from the School of Diplomacy During the Warring States Period” recognized Gongsun Yan instead.

Chen Mo was more convinced of the latter because though Su Qin and Zhang Yi were recognized as rivals, in truth, only Gongsun Yan and Zhang Yi were from the same era. Zhang Yi was an advocate of the “Horizontal Alliance,”3 and Gongsun Yan was naturally of the Vertical Alliance.

“I likely have a sort of connection to Little Sister’s Star Name, so I was able to guess it.” Chen Mo winked.

Zhiyan laughed.

“Gongsun Yan?” Li Qingyi wrinkled her brow. She had never heard of this Star Name, but this was not strange. The School Of Diplomacy was very reclusive, and extremely few Star Names were known. The most active was just Su Qin.

“Then Zhiyan shall reintroduce herself.” The girl stood up from her seat, her body adopting a gorgeously graceful introductory pose. “Your Servant is Heavenly Vertical Star ‘Heavenly Vertical Alliance’ Gongsun Yan Gongsun Zhiyan.”

“So you and ‘Earthly Horizontal Alliance’ Zhang Yi truly were adversaries?” Li Qingyi asked.

“Yes. Back then, the Horizontal Alliance and Vertical Alliance competed for rank. She won.” Gongsun Zhiyan said gloomily.

Li Qingyi showed an expression of shame: “That is Your Servant’s fault for being insufficiently capable.”

“You can’t be blamed for that. Li Shimin is too powerful. Even the Central Star Field is unable to restrain her.”

“En.”

“I never expected you to be smarter than the Purple Rose Star Emperor.” Gongsun Yan had a whole new level of respect for Chen Mo, for he even knew her very mysterious Star Name.

“I’m merely a bit more knowledgeable about the origins of some Star Names. I can’t compare to the Star Emperor.” Chen Mo shook his head.

Gongsun Zhiyan giggled. “You are very interesting. Zhiyan will come play with you in the future.”

“Qingyi, what will you two do next.” Chen Mo asked.

Gongsun Zhiyan charmingly said: “Oh, Qingyi, your man is worried about you.”

“Hmph, I do not need to tell you.” Perhaps it was because of Gongsun Yan’s words, but Li Qingyi’s expression changed. She did not wish to speak any longer.

Chen Mo could not help but smile. The attitude of the Li Mi in front of him was too bashful.

“Let us go. Do not disturb him.” Li Qingyi glanced at the faraway Guangwu City.

“Hee-hee.” Gongsun Yan waved her hand and boarded the Lunar Rainbow Thousand Chariot, piercing through space. “Qingyi, Zhiyan feels your truly should find a man to serve you. Mo Chen is not bad, right. He is so vigorous.”

“Zhiyan, you are very lonely, huh…”

“Right, I’m called Chen Mo. Mo Chen is my alias.” Chen Mo recalled something and called after them.

Space very quickly closed up. He was not sure if they heard him.

Chen Mo looked at the Jian Bing Seven Mansions. He gazed at them for a while, then took them into his body. After some additional refinement, he could forge them into the White Tiger Flying Swords.

After a while, Liu Xiu appeared on top of the mountain.

The girl was dressed in an elegant long robe, her hair tied into a bun on top of her head. Without any bindings, her hair naturally spilled downwards, and was tied off at the end, cascading over her shoulders; a swallowtail hairstyle.4 This was a flying apsara knot and appeared very gentle. This kind of hairstyle generally was favored by girls who did not leave their home, making Liu Houxiu appear a bit more feminine.

Her figure was very curvaceous, like a budding snow lotus. Standing on the summit, there was the feeling that even the scenery paled in comparison to her.

“Oh, Houxiu, you’re dressed really beautifully.” Chen Mo subconsciously said.

“En.” Liu Houxiu slightly nodded, her white skin slightly flushed.

“Are you ready?”

Liu Houxiu sensed that Chen Mo had already assembled the Jian Bing Seven Mansions inside his body, but she did not inquire any further at all.

Chen Mo approached her, who smelled like snow.

Then, the scenery in front of them began to change.

Western Lin Star Field.

A cold wind like that of early winter rustled. The bare trees became a scene of withered desolation, yet Mount Hua nevertheless was still as verdant as before, hundreds of budding flowers ready to bloom.

Today, a man and woman arrived at the bottom of the mountain.

The man was like a jade tree facing the wind, tall and indomitable. His cultivation was not high, but his bearing was reserved, the air of a master.

The woman wore a face veil. Her figure was fair, her bearing relaxed, serene as water, and also refined and beautiful.

At some point in time, many tea stands and shops had appeared at the foot of Mount Hua. There was much more bustle than before, and many cultivators were gathered below the mountain. The pair found a tea stand to sit down and rest when they heard such a conversation.

“In just a few more days, it will be the martial arts competition. Ha, ha, I never imagined the Western Lin Star Field could still see such a scene.”

“Exactly, they say the Nine Elders Of Sui will all battle the disciples of Mount Hua. Such a scene is certainly uncommon.”

“But it truly is strange. Why did Mount Hua accept the Tyrant’s challenge? The current Western Moon is getting worse by the day, they don’t have anyone strong disciples at all.”

“They say the Demon Faced Military Commander Yu Juluo has betrayed the Tyrant and wants to throw her lot in with Mount Hua. She is to be executed by the Tyrant, but Ancestor Chen Tuan could not bear that and agreed to the competition.”

“The Sleeping Immortal is this stupid? This certainly is a situation that Yang Guang and Yu Juluo schemed.”

“This is difficult to say. I heard that Yu Juluo is indeed injured and that Yu Zan even died. I also heard that Yu Juluo has the Double Pupils. Yang Guang is more afraid of her.”

“And Yang Guang even adheres to something like Buddhism.”

“After this Mount Hua competition, I fear that Western Moon Mount Huo will be stripped from the Five Moons. For this reason, Yang Guang has invited the Amrita Star Kingdom’s people to watch.”

“This truly is wretched. But it is for this reason that we can feast our eyes.”

Listening to the nearby cultivators’ conversations, Chen Mo wrinkled his brow. He never imagined that the matter of Mount Hua’s bet was already known to all. So many people surprisingly were waiting to see a good show at Mount Hua. Judging by these cultivators’ tones, they were extremely pleased to vilify Ancestor Chen Tuan. Chen Mo found himself displeased, and he moved his Divine Intent.

The two cultivators who were eager to watch Mount Hua burn then screamed and fell to the ground in fright.

After Chen Mo harmonized with the White Tiger, his Divine Intent became extremely invasive. The two Universe Origin Realm cultivators were unable to bear Chen Mo’s Divine Intent attack, and their Primordial Spirits were seriously injured.

“Fellows, are you alright?”

Several cultivators asked in concern.

The pair was pale in face. They knelt and kowtowed: “Ancestor forgive us, Ancestor forgive us, Your Servant does not dare slander you.”

Chen Mo retracted his Divine Intent. The two of them seemed to receive amnesty and immediately fled, not daring to linger.

Seeing the two Universe Origin cultivators surprisingly suffer serious injury from Divine Intent, the other chatting cultivators’ expressions changed. They did not dare ridicule the Sleeping Immortal any further.

“Is Mount Hua truly in danger as they say?” The woman across from him asked. Liu Houxiu was a bit surprised that the Western Moon was treated so poorly.

“A bit.” Chen Mo knew the situation was not very optimistic. “However, I believe in the Senior Sisters. They can win the martial arts competition.”

“En.”

“But I didn’t expect the situation to have been hyped to this degree. There’s actually so many people here.” The village at the foot of Mount Hua was already nearly a town. He could also sense many Lords Of Heaven and even Star Generals hidden around.

“To bet the Western Moon itself, of course this would be the case.”

“En.”

Chen Mo was deeply worried. He called for the tea stand’s waiter and asked: “I got a question for you.”

“What would Fellow like to ask.” That waiter took Chen Mo’s Astral Cents and beamed.

“Did the Amrita Star Kingdom’s people come? Is this true?” Chen Mo asked.

“I hear this is the case. The Golden Age Tyrant has already invited the Imperial Empress Of Bedfellows to the Sui Ye Star Kingdom. They are prepared to watch the Mount Hua martial arts competition together.” The waiter nodded. He had been here for a long time and was aware of many matters pertaining to the competition.

“Will the Amrita Seven Grands also come?” Chen Mo asked.

“They should.”

Chen Mo recalled a certain person, and his brow deeply wrinkled.

“Fellow, you appear very worried. Could you have bet on Mount Hua’s victory?” The waiter asked.

“Hm? We can even place bets?” Chen Mo asked.

“Of course, Mount Hua itself is at stake this time. This is a once in a thousand years sight. The Thousand Gold Pavilion has even dispatched people here to devise the gambling party. Otherwise, how could there be so many Fellow here.” The waiter smiled.

“So that’s how it is.” Chen Mo nodded.

“This is a rare opportunity to make money. Currently, there are bets on who will win or lose. When the Star Generals step forth, there will also be individual wagers.”

Chen Mo sneered in his heart.

“They say that Mount Hua will send out a Gestational Realm Star General for battle this time, so Mount Hua will surely lose this. Fellow, please reconsider now.”

Gestational Realm, Chen Mo recalled the Red Fragrant Child.

“Impossible, how could the Ancestor send her out for battle.”

“It does not matter. Mount Hua has hardly any Heavenly Stars.” The waiter smiled: “Would you two Fellows like to place bets? I can help you get set up.”

Liu Houxiu suddenly took out an Astral Stone and placed it on the table. The Son Of Heaven’s tone was absolutely calm: “Two million Astral Dollars. Place it on victory for Mount Hua’s Chen Mo.”

“Huh? Two million.” The waiter was startled.

“Who is this Chen Mo?” The waiter was a bit confused.

“He is a disciple of Mount Hua and will inevitably fight. The Thousand Gold Pavilion is naturally aware.” Liu Houxiu calmly said.

“Sure, sure. Your Servant will go make the arrangements.” The waiter was elated.

“Two hundred thousand Astral Dollars on Mount Hua’s victory.” Chen Mo took out his money.

After the waiter left.

Chen Mo looked at the girl and smiled: “I never imagined you to be such a speculator, Houxiu.”

“If you lose, that means my judgement was awfully tawdry.” Liu Houxiu did not mind having such an unrefined aspect.

“It seems, then, that I must win for your sake.” Chen Mo teased.

The girl smiled, very calm.
