The Green Satchel Book hovered overhead, its green light flowing over Qi Lin’s entire body.
A chicken egg-shaped golden light sparkled behind Qi Lin, and around him were several trigram marking that seemed to be etched into the very itself. The Origin Taiji Pill was melting inside his body. This medicinal power that this Immemorial Pill exuded was powerful beyond imagination, for his body’s meridians, limbs, bones, and organs seemed to be being eaten by something.
Qi Lin immediately sensed a turbid qi surge upwards in his mind while a pure qi descended. Pure and impure intermingled while black and white became indistinguishable; this was a sign of qi deviation. No wonder that although the Origin Taiji Pill was esteemed as an Immemorial Pill, no one inquired about it. This elixir’s power was practically already incompatible with the cultivation systems of modern cultivators. The average cultivator could only undergo qi deviation if they forcefully cultivated the pill. In the end, they would go mad and even die.
The pure and impure qi mixed inside his body. Once merged, the consequences would be too horrible to contemplate. Qi Lin focused his mind, activating the Black And White Mixed Origin Chant, however, this soul technique was not very useful at all. Fortunately, the Green Satchel Book enveloped him. An Invested Deity marking appeared on his forehead. Great Sage Equal Of Heaven Sun Wukong’s Divine Energy forced its way through his body, splitting apart the pure and impure qi.
The Nine Yins Nine Yangs Fortune Heaven also began to activate.
The process of cultivating the Origin Taiji Pill was more arduous than Qi Lin had imagined. Even with such abilities, the process was very slow. At the moment, there was very little progress. All of a sudden, a green light rushed out from the depths of his mind. Its auspicious qi was endless, and the heart of the qilin emerged from primordial chaos, enveloping his mind.
Suddenly, Yin and Yang appeared, pure and impure separated, and black and white became distinct.
Slowly, Qi Lin began to finally assume control of the medicinal energy in Origin Taiji Pill. By using this Immemorial Elixir’s power, he immediately charged into Golden Pill Third Trigram.
“Fortune of the young and oblivious follows Xun. Where the gentleman succeeds, success greets the lord.”
Qi Lin had learned the Qimen Dunjia from Guiguzi Wang Xu, which he combined with the geomancy and Bagua knowledge from Earth. Golden Core Stage cultivated the soul and Golden Core, in other words, the Eight Trigrams of the soul. Qi Lin’s thoughts were incisive. Following the third Origin Taiji Pill’s medicinal energy condensing the bagua, a sword seemingly slashed forth from nothingness. The speed of this slash was very slow, without the slightest intent to cause harm, but its concept was very long and profound. Additionally, the sharpness of the slash made one feel unable to resist.
It was gentle as a stream, slow and soothing, a continuous energy that inexorably flowed through all his pores.
The form of the Xun Trigram represented wood and conjured the image of wind, smooth and gentle. Along with this trigram, three golden lights appeared in his soul’s Golden Core. The bottom line of the trigram split open, and as the golden light grew more and more dense, the wind of the world was sucked in, as if it was the most flawless work. Then, it returned to normal and slowly receded.
As the wind gusted, the interior of the heavenly paradise was a hurricane.
Nearby, Qi Qi felt even more pleasant with this cool breeze blowing over her, surprisingly inducing an indolent drowsiness.
Then, the wind slowly stopped. Qi Lin opened his eyes and took a deep breath, sucking in the wind, returning everything to a still calm.
Golden Core’s third trigram – Xun, complete. His Golden Core Early Stage was mastered.
The Xun trigram was categorized as wood element, its image in nature was wind, and the escape techniques of cultivators who refined this trigram would become even faster.
He should be able to break through to Golden Core Middle Stage after ingesting the remaining Origin Taiji Pill.
The distance to Golden Core Bagua Middle Stage was merely one step. Qi Lin knew he could break through with some time.
However, it looks like I’m running out of time already…Qi Lin thought.
Once again, he returned to the Wu Gu Pavilion, where he handed over the last batch of two hundred Five Flavors Soul Returning Powder to Wu Gu. This was practically the last auction for the Five Flavors Soul Returning Powder. By the time of this auction, Wu Gu had already decided to temporarily suspend activities for a few months, then slowly sell the rest.
“Have you ingested the Origin Taiji Pill?” Wu Gu asked.
“I’m keeping it to see whether or not I can deduce the recipe.” Medicine refiners all loved to research the worth of never-before-seen pills to promote their own pill concoction skills. Immemorial period pills were especially value, so Wu Gu did not find this surprising.
“That would be for the best. You are better off not ingesting these pills. There once was a Primordial Infant Seven Stars cultivator who went insane after ingesting one.” Wu Gu warned.
Qi Lin already experienced how formidable this pill was, however, Wu Gu would never have thought that he had already completely absorbed its power. Even the Black And White Mixed Origin Chant had advanced.
“How is the situation since that auction?” Qi Lin asked.
“What situation?” Wu Gu raised her brow.
“When Wu Xian revealed the illusionary feather. Have any cultivators actually been interested enough to go to Changliu?”
“Yes, many.” Wu Gu replied matter-of-factly.
“The Ten Shamans Of Spirit Mountain already prepared a date to set forth to Changliu. Wu Xian and the others have made ample preparations; they are even bringing the Shaman Spirit Kingdom’s country-guarding magic treasure, the ‘Deity-suppressing Plate.’ They also enlisted one hundred elite Great Wu Soldiers. They may be able to subjugate the Illusionary Flying Snow.”
“Oh.”
“You seem very concerned about this. Could it be that you also want to go?” Wu Gu paused, her expression serious as she stared at the man.
“When I saw the Illusionary Flying Snow before, I naturally knew I had no connection to it.”
Wu Gu also believed in this man’s judgment. The steed of the White Emperor was target of many avaricious cultivators, but undoubtedly, they were digging their own graves.
“These are some records back from when the Ten Shamans Of Spirit Mountain visited Changliu previously. Look through them. Although we will be unable to go for the Illusionary Flying Snow, this is a good opportunity to collect spirit grasses.”
“Alright, many thanks, Elder Sister.”
“No need. Elder Sister still needs your pill concoction arts.” Wu Gu faintly grinned.
Qi Lin chatted with Wu Gu for a while longer. Only when he was clear on the Ten Shamans Of Spirit Mountain’s arrangements and routes for their subjugation of the Illusionary Flying Snow did he take his leave. Along the way, a young woman’s voice appeared in his mind again: “Master, save it.”
“Why are you so insistent that I save it?” Qi Lin was confused. Other than being part of the qilin’s bloodline, he could vaguely sense there was some other reason.
But the girl in his mind did not reply at all. She merely repeated the sentence.
Erlang Shen Yang Jian, Western Sea God Yan Zi, the Ten Shamans Of Spirit Mountain’s Earlier Heaven magic treasure Deity-suppressing Plate, and the unknown dangers that lurked within the innermost depths of Changliu.
That place’s fengshui was also full of variables. If possible, Qi Lin truly was not very willing to set foot in those forbidden grounds.
Mounting this rescue truly would not be easy.
