All of a sudden, Lingmeng flew down from her railing and dove into one of the Divine Cauldrons. Lingmeng flapped her wings, blowing the spirit sand out from inside. “Let’s hurry and shelter in the Divine Cauldrons.” Qi Lin’s eyes gleamed.
The Divine Cauldrons were Earlier Heaven magic treasures, and only the Divine Cauldrons could survive the power of this void.
“Changxi.” Qi Lin said.
Without needing him to say it, Changxi knowingly entered the Divine Womb. Nezha and Qi Qi entered one of the Divine Cauldrons together, and the Divine Cauldron did not reject the entry of the outsiders. The space inside was not very large, but it was sufficient for the two little girls to squeeze in.
Gongyang Tu had also entered a square cauldron at the first instant. The square cauldron contained a pile of pills, which were supreme treasures in Primordial World, but at this time, Gongyang Tu had no time to desire them. He swept them away, completely clearing the pills out of the cauldron, making space for his own body.
The four armored guards all had enormous builds, and an empty Divine Cauldron could barely fit one person.
There were only eight Divine Cauldrons, and there were several dozen people present. In other words, it was inevitable some people would die to the void.
“Your Highness, look out.”
Fenghou Zhijing was the Yellow Emperor’s most loyal minister indeed. Even at this time, her first concern was Nüba.
Nüba waved her hand. High temperatures incinerated all of the material inside one of the Divine Cauldrons. The girl jumped into it, and Fenghou’s figure was swift as the wind, easily entering it as well.
Very quickly, seven of the eight cauldrons were occupied, leaving only one. Qi Lin and the dozens of cultivators from the Li and Hong Tribes were all at an impasse. The divine palace would disintegrate shortly, and the primal chaos of the void submerged the palace like a river. The Divine Cauldrons floated like boats in the void.
The last Divine Cauldron was a final hope, and the remaining people were all willing to kill for it.
Qi Lin used the Heavenly Vertical Earthly Horizontal Escape to reach the edge of the Divine Cauldron. Inside it was a pile of animal bones, the remains of an Immemorial Demon Beast, but Qi Lin did not clear them out at all. Instead, he directly activated the Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded Banners.
The Eight Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded Banners immediately unfurled around the Divine Cauldron and refined these bones.
The other cultivators and warriors had originally thought to join forces to seize this Divine Cauldron, but when the Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded Banners appeared, the no longer had any chance to do so. Several Void Return cultivators who charged into the array screamed as they were destroyed.
The remaining cultivators no longer dared to approach.
“This is also an Approaching Heaven magic treasure?” Nüba was astounded.
“This man’s is so incredibly skilled, he honestly is unfathomable.” This was the first time Fenghou was so apprehensive.
“Your Highness, save us.”
The other cultivators turned and ran towards the other Divine Cauldrons, but there was no more room in the others. An old man pleaded with Nüba for rescue; this great cultivator had served her mother for a century, only venturing to Mount Tu as a loyal warrior to receive mother’s recognition, yet Nüba was expressionless.
“Forgive us, elder.” Fenghou said, her voice almost inaudible as she cut off the old man’s escape path.
Following the void primal chaos swallowing his body, the old man struggled in its river. The sea of primal chaos was an existence that surpassed even Primordial World’s seven seas. That was a kind of power that was most close to primal chaos itself, and this power filled the void space. Let alone Void Return Five Elements, even a Higher Realm could not necessarily escape unscathed.
The old man struggled with all his might, but the sea of primal chaos very quickly submerged him. In the end, he was like a stone thrown into the ocean, his presence completely gone.
Following the disintegration of the divine palace and the inundation of the primal chaos power, the people unable to flee into a Divine Cauldron were all submerged and destroyed in the void.
Qi Lin refined the beast’s bones. All of a sudden, he caught sight of Emperor Yao’s statue sinking into the primal chaos.
That third eye-like crack in the statue’s forehead once again entered his focus, and Qi Lin recalled the scene of Emperor Yao in his mind.
“Not good.”
Qi Lin’s heart stopped, and his expression changed. Without hesitation, he leapt out of the Divine Cauldron and into the whirlpool of primal chaos.
“Big Brother.” Qi Qi was flabbergasted. The girl wanted to follow her big brother, but she was firmly stopped by Nezha. “Don’t be stupid. Qi Lin must have a reason, so don’t be impulsive.”
“Go away.”
The Great Sage Equal of Heaven was ruthless, baring her fangs. She donned her purple crown and golden armor, and her awe-inspiring divine might shook off Nezha.
Qi Qi did not hesitate to hop into the swirling primal chaos.
“Has this man gone mad?” Nüba was astounded.
Fenghou had never seen such a crazy man. The primal chaos of the void could but disintegrate any creature, and even a supreme Divine Name could not avoid this. However, he surprisingly still jumped in, and the Great Sage Equal Of Heaven would actually jump in together with him?
Gongyang Tu raised his brow, a bit shaken by this.
Under the endless primal chaos.
Qi Lin seemed to be stuck in a bog of darkness. Terrifying power gnawed at and clung to his body, making him unable to wield his strength at all. This was the power of void primal chaos. Whether it was Divine Energy, Star Energy, magical energy, every kind of power was unable to be wielded.
Qi Lin used the Dual Modes Seal. Primal chaos was the origin, the split of the Dual Modes. The Dual Modes Soul Technique forcibly broke apart the restraints of the primal chaos.
The statue was floating towards the abyss. Qi Lin dashed towards it, but his body techniques had become incomparably sluggish under the primal chaos’ power.
“Big Brother.”
In the murkiness, he suddenly heard Qi Qi’s voice. The Great Sage Equal Of Heaven charged into the primal chaos, her entire body radiating golden light. She was born of a spirit-stone, transcended the Three Realms, and was outside of the Five Elements. The terrifying power of the primal chaos surprisingly was unable to bind the Great Sage Equal Of Heaven.
Qi Qi grabbed her big brother and wanted to leave, but Qi Lin pointed at the statue.
Qi Qi understood and flew towards the statue.
Very quickly, they were in front of the statue. The expression on Emperor Yao’s statue was still serene. Time and power had lost all meaning in front of her benevolent gaze, and even the dark primal chaos was unable to hide the light within.
Facing this majestic woman, Qi Lin bowed reverently. Then, he reached out towards that faint crack in the statue’s forehead.
The instant his finger touched the crack, an inconceivable scene occurred. Qi Lin’s finger surprisingly passed through the crack without any resistance. Then, he extracted a gem from inside. This jewel was identical to the one that the Emperor Yao in the mental space had worn. Its light outshone the stars and illuminated even the primal chaos.
Qi Lin nodded, and Qi Qi flew upwards with him in tow.
Very quickly, they charged out of the sea of primal chaos. Nezha had been gripping the Divine Cauldron as she waited for them while Gongyang Tu and Nüba had long made their own escapes. “Go.” Qi Lin hopped onto the Divine Cauldron alongside Qi Qi and Nezha.
The group entered the Divine Cauldron while the flow of the enormous primal chaos surged throughout the immense void. The palace was completely submerged, and the Divine Cauldron was like a tiny boat keeping them afloat as they moved through the primal chaos’ void flow.
That seemed to pass through the corridor of time, from the genesis of primordial chaos to the birth of the world.
One year.
Two years.
Ten years.
Time had never seemed to be so slow. Then, all scenery vanished, all sound fell silent. Qi Lin could only feel the world spin around, and then he did not understand anything.
By the time he opened his eyes, the void realm was already gone without a trace. He found himself in the middle of a mountain forest.
The sky was beginning to turn bright.
Qi Lin looked around, only to find that Qi Qi, Nüba, and Gongyang Tu were gone. Everyone had been scattered on their own following the collapse of the palace.
Fortunately, he still had that Divine Cauldron. Qi Lin took out the “Emperor Yao Jewel” and stored it in his void space bag. Then, he examined the Divine Cauldron. It emitted a faint glow, and it still retained signs of Divine Energy. Qi Lin stored the Divine Cauldron and prepared to go regroup with Nüba and the others to discuss matters of using the Divine Cauldrons to control the flood.
Just at this moment, Gongyang Tu walked out from the forest.
Upon seeing Qi Lin, Gongyang Tu suddenly showed an expression of delight.
“You came at the perfect time.” Qi Lin prepared to speak with him about the Divine Cauldrons and the jewel, to ask him to go inform Chiyou.
Qi Lin had only just taken a step when Gongyang Tu suddenly drew his saber and attacked with a sharp saber-qi. This saber-qi was like a dragon roar, twisting and cutting space, demonstrating immense might. Qi Lin was already on guard against him. Flicking his finger, he used the Nine Fingers Of Hell, but the saber-qi was like a wall, surprisingly withstanding all of the finger-shadows. Qi Lin brought out the Meteoric Iron Divine Staff.
With a bang, the Divine Staff was broken by the saber-qi. The saber-qi splashed like water, covering his face.
“Brother Gongyang, are you planning to kill me?” Qi Lin retreated a dozen steps. He looked at the damaged Meteoric Iron Divine Staff in his hand and frowned.
Gongyang Tu smiled very amiably. Ever since he emerged from Emperor Yao’s Divine Palace, he had been searching for Qi Lin’s whereabouts, for he had not forgotten the mission that Chiyou gave him: seize the Divine Cauldron and kill Qi Lin.
“I do not wish to kill you. I just want to borrow the Divine Cauldron, and I hope Brother Qi Lin will oblige me.” Gongyang Tu smiled especially happily.
Right now, without the Great Sage Of Equal Of Heaven present, Qi Lin was as helpless as an ant from his perspective.
“What if I refuse?” Qi Lin asked back. He calmly stowed the Meteoric Iron Divine Staff; it was apparently no match for Gongyang Tu’s Chiyou Saber. Qi Lin drew the Blood Transformation Divine Blade.
Gongyang Tu’s smile became even more sinister, “Of course, I would also like to borrow Brother’s Blood Transformation Divine Saber.”
“My lord has commanded that all the Divine Cauldrons must be retrieved. If you refuse, then I can only offend you.” Gongyang Tu’s eyes gleamed with a cold glint. Seizing the opportunity while the Great Sage Equal Of Heaven was not present, he did not hesitate to launch a terrifying attack.
Gongyang Tu moved his intent, and the “Slaughtering Heaven” Chiyou Saber in his hand flew forth in response.
Saber-light plunged like a net towards QI Lin.
Tens of thousands of saber-lights swept forth. Qi Lin raised the Blood Transformation Divine Blade, its bloody blade-light also fiercely releasing countless red clouds that clashed with Gongyang Tu’s blade. Against the Chiyou Saber, there was no other choice but to use the Blood Transformation Divine Saber.
Gongyang Tu inwardly sneered. He already knew that Qi Lin would respond in this way, so he used his body technique to launch an oppressive attack on Qi Lin.
He had cultivated in the Northern Primordial for a century. This Slaughtering Heaven’s technique was extremely domineering and barbaric, having slain countless beasts. Each cut was like flowing water, unstoppable. Where the saber-lights waned, countless saber-qi would appear, descending from the heavens, rising from the earth.
The man’s skin glowed red, manifesting blood-light, making him appear demonic.
It flowed endlessly in all directions.
Qi Lin burrowed his brow. This man was far more ferocious than he had thought. However, cultivators mostly trained in their powers. Very few were like Gongyang Tu, who actually trained his martial arts to such perfection. It was plain that he had went through many life or death experiences in the Northern Primordial
Gongyang Tu said: “I serve Chiyou. For what reason do you think I serve?”
“She is the primordial God Of War, undefeated in every battle. I follow Chiyou because I wanted to receive her Chiyou Martial Chant and cultivate this supreme power. With this ability, what would a Divine General be to me?” Gongyang Tu spoke with a domineering tone, brimming with an arrogance that looked down upon all under Heaven.
“You’re quite ambitious.” Qi Lin was unflappable. He had not practiced many martial chants at all, but fortunately, he had the Yin Yang Fortune Body, Four Yins Four Yangs and Black And White Mixed Origin Chant as supplements. This endless saber-light cut against his body. Any other average cultivator would already have been grievously injured, but Qi Lin skillfully dispelled them.
Hearing his words, Qi Lin knew that this Gongyang Tu was far more cunning anyone could have imagined.
“Die in pieces.”
Gongyang Tu bellowed furiously. All of his blood-qi surged, and an extremely unbelievable saber-light suddenly flew through space.
Qi Lin’s eyes widened.
This was.
“Chiyou Martial Chant – Slash For The Ages.”
