“We can enter the central region through this marsh.”

Qi Lin gazed at the vast expanse of swamp in front of him.

The swamp’s air lingered about, and lightning flashed. From time to time, thunderbolts dropped from the heavens and crashed into the water, producing a dazzling electrical splash of water. The closer they were to the Thunder Swamp’s center, the stronger the thunder became.

“However, there is a large Thunder Pond outside the center of the Thunder Swamp, protecting it. You must cross the Thunder Pond in order to enter.” Xian Zhen showed worry.

Qi Lin knew her intentions. This place was already unsuitable for flight as there was too much thunder and lightning in the sky. Should he fly, not only was it very dangerous, it was also a waste of magical energy. But if he walked along the ground, he would need to cross that large marsh.

Ordinary swamps were manageable, proving harmless to a God Transformation cultivator, but if they sunk into the Thunder Pond in the middle of the swamp, there was no coming back. Unless one possessed formidable powers, it was practically an impossible fluke.

The Thunder Ponds outside the Thunder Swamp’s central region were too numerous to count. Although there were safe paths through, they required significant search time.

Qi Lin had already understood the situation before venturing out, so he was aware of this. “No problem, I know the way.”

The group entered the swamp.

Qi Lin made Qi Qi use the Ruyi Jingu Bang to measure the swamp. The Ruyi Jingu Bang could change length and size at will, and it was an Approaching Heaven magic treasures. Even if it was jabbed into a Thunder Pond, it would not be damaged in the slightest. Qi Qi used the Ruyi Jingu Bang as a mobility cane, moving one step at a time.

Xian Zhen watched speechless from the side. She honestly did not expect Qi Lin to use this method.

The average magic treasure honestly was unable to measure a Thunder Pond.

Many “Thunder Dragons” dwelled in the Thunder Pond. These dragons were like fish and would launch sneak attacks on prey traveling over the surface of the Thunder Pond. Qi Qi smashed a few to death, a process that left themselves more startled than hurt.

Several hours later.

“Big Brother, there seems to be people up ahead.” Qi Qi walked in the front, stepping over the swamp when she suddenly turned back and spoke to Qi Lin.

“We go around.” Qi Lin thought they were people from the Three Noble Houses, Five Sects or the Heavenly Decree Palace. Right now, he did not want side issues.

“They seem to be unconscious.” Qi Qi continued.

Qi Lin looked. More than a hundred meters ahead, a girl in a red and white skirt was collapsed on one of the marshes. Two Thunder Dragons poked their heads out from the swamp and attempted to drag the girl under, but she seemed to have some kind of magic treasure protecting her with a glowing rainbow light, preventing the Thunder Dragons from approaching.

The glow of the girl’s magic treasure was increasingly dim. One of the Thunder Dragons saw its opportunity and spat several bolts of lightning that finally shattered the halo. Then, it was about to bite down on the girl.

“Go save her.” Qi Lin said.

Qi Qi somersaulted forth, swinging the Jingu Bang. The might of the Approaching Heaven magic treasure was boundless, and her High Ancient Divine Energy flayed the flesh of one of the Thunder Dragons. When it died, the other saw the situation was unfavorable, and it spat out thunder and rain. Qi Qi twirled her staff, deflecting the thunder. The Thunder Dragon very quickly dove into the swamp and promptly escaped.

Qi Lin walked to the girl’s side. He barely touched her skin when his finger stung as if burned by a scorching flame; the girl was as hot as a branding iron. Qi Lin used the Dual Modes Seal’s Water And Fire to dispel the heat, and then he flipped the girl over.

This girl’s features were beautiful, with a delicate nose and supple red lips. She wore clothes that were low-cut and exposed her shoulders. Hm…her chest had a fullness that did not match her age.

The girl groaned in pain. Her brows tightened together, and her lips were turning purple. The girl’s complexion was pale, and she was covered in cold sweat.

“Is she poisoned?” Xian Zhen knew at a glance from the symptoms.

“Is anyone actually afraid of being poisoned?” Qi Lin saw she was still breathing weakly while purple qi came from her skin. He knew then that the poison had already entered her marrow.

“The Thunder Swamp is a dangerous place, it is very difficult to say.”

Qi Lin hoisted the girl up by the waist. He could not abandon her like this.

“You are saving her?” Xian Zhen asked.

“Otherwise?” Qi Lin was matter-of-fact about this. Furthermore, if such a beautiful girl was a Divine Name, perhaps she could sign a contract with him. Qi Lin’s heart had this selfish idea, but of course, everything depended on the girl herself.

“This poison is not easily dispelled, This General has never seen it before.” Xian Zhen was not very optimistic.

“The Green Satchel Book should work.”

The girl groaned softly, her agonized expression pitiful.

Qi Lin found a place and released the Green Satchel Book. It emitted a green light that shone over the girl’s body, but her pained expression did not ease much. “The poison is in her body, This General fears you must extract it from the wound for her to heal.” Xian Zhen suggested.

Qi Lin accepted the idea, but when he looked for the wound, he suddenly noticed that the clothing that the girl wore was a beautiful magic treasure; it was basically impossible to see any wounds from the outside.

“It seems there is no way to search for the wound and dispel the poison like this.” Xian Zhen stared at Qi Lin with a particularly meaningful expression.

“I’m not a rogue.” Qi Lin felt himself to be quite upstanding.

“Remove her armor, and I’ll heal her.”

“Very well.”

Xian Zhen walked before the girl and removed her armor while Qi Lin averted his gaze and stared at the vast Thunder Swamp. “It really is strange. Why would she come to this place alone? She doesn’t seem like someone from the Three Houses or Five Sects.”

The girl’s armor was a bit difficult to remove, but her magical energy was fortunately already very weak. To Xian Zhen, this was no problem.

“Perhaps she is a cultivator in training. The Thunder Swamp is one of the Twelve Savage Regions. This place has the most terrifying thunder in Primordial World, and many Divine Names and cultivators come here to train.” Xian Zhen said as she stripped the girl.

Thunder powers were very common in Primordial World and were one of the most commonly used techniques for cultivators. Furthermore, this Thunder Swamp was a Savage Region and was an extremely fine location.

Even if the Heavenly Decree Palace had locked down the Thunder Swamp, the place spanned millions of li. To completely lock it down was impossible.

“Do you think she might be a Divine Name?” QI Lin asked.

Xian Zhen shook her head, unsure.

All of a sudden, Xian Zhen gasped in shock. Qi Lin immediately asked: “What’s the matter.”

“Nothing.” Xian Zhen’s voice was completely without any guilt.

“Hm?”

“She’s shocked by how enormous this woman’s boobs are.” Qi Qi pursed her lips.

Xian Zhen fake coughed.

Qi Lin smiled: “General Xian should have finished undressing her by now.”

“En, come heal her.” Xian Zhen said: “This General was only surprised that her armor is very unique.” Pausing, she added an explanation.

“Where is her wound located?” Qi Lin could not easily turn around.

“Under her breast…This is a bit strange.” Xian Zhen said.

“What?”

“See for yourself, Young Lord. I have already covered her private areas.” Xian Zhen considerately informed.

Qi Lin curiously turned around. What he saw nearly made blood spurt from his nose, for he spotted the young girl half-naked in the pool. Her towering peaks were indeed plump; no wonder even Xian Zhen would exclaim in surprise. The so-called cover she described was nothing more than a small rag covering the most important areas. This kind of cover would contrarily make one indulge in fantasy and even have the impulse to peel away that bit of cover. But it was no wonder because that girl’s wound was very close to her breast.

Qi Lin’s gaze was immediately drawn to several bloody holes.

These holes seemed like mosquito bites at first glance, appearing very glaring against her snow-white skin. Upon closer inspection, the holes were surprisingly leaking black, festering blood that emitted a very unpleasant stench, a putrid assault on the nostrils.

“This is no ordinary poison, and a Demon Beast’s venom could not possibly have breached her magic treasure.” Xian Zhen analyzed.

“A Destined Skill, then.” Qi Lin said.

Xian Zhen nodded, “She ought to have battled against a Divine Name. This General fears that this Destined Skill may be Billion Destinies, or even Chaos Rank.”

“Not even This General can guarantee survival if I had been inflicted with such a wound, but her assailant let her go.”1 Xian Zhen glanced at Qi Lin, who understood her message.

This meant that the girl had possibly defeated the opponent, allowing her to escape disaster.

To be able to repel or even kill a Divine Name that had used Billion Destinies, cultivators of this caliber were rare in Primordial World. Furthermore, the girl was very young, with her beauty and strength having already reached unfathomable levels. In other words, she may have inherited a Divine Name.

“If you kill her, you can refine her Destiny…” Xian Zhen trailed off.

Qi Lin shook his head, “I’m not a heartless wretch. If I was to take advantage of her for being a Divine Name, then I would never have met Wenming back then.”

Xian Zhen fell to a knee and apologized: “This General lost her manners.”

“Let’s save her.”

Qi Lin pondered; there was nothing else to say.

“Consider yourself lucky that you bumped into me, a successor to socialism.” Qi Lin’s words made no sense to Xian Zhen.

Qi Lin extended two fingers that pressed down near the girl’s breast. Her skin was supple, smooth as silk. However, he did not take advantage of her. Rather, he first carefully inspected the depth of her wound.

The girl groaned. Then, Qi Lin brought out the Green Satchel Book, the green light of which shot into the injury.

The green light was full of a vibrant beauty.

This poison was coursing throughout her body. With Qi Lin unable to completely neutralize it for the moment, Qi Qi took it upon herself to first go scout the path ahead.

This healing lasted for several hours. A man scrutinized a young girl, whose body was half-naked as she moaned, a very decadent scene indeed.

Xian Zhen was nearby, alert for any movement in the surroundings.

Seeing him use up so much magical energy, Xian Zhen was a bit worried.

The girl apparently regained a bit of consciousness. She opened her bright eyes, her vision extremely blurry. She reached out and grabbed Qi Lin firmly, her fingernails nearly drawing blood. The girl’s lips moved ever so slightly to say something, but because she was too weak, the sounds she made were nothing more than some alluring gasps.

A long while later, the girl’s skin recovered its color, and her pained expression finally eased. Qi Lin breathed a sigh of relief.

The Green Satchel Book’s light receded and returned to void space.

“Is she healed?” Xian Zhen asked.

“Her power is a bit strange…” Qi Lin muttered.

“?”

Qi Lin snapped back to his senses: “It’s nothing. Her life isn’t in danger, but the Divine Name she battled is quite formidable. This Destined Skill is very vicious, and the Green Satchel Book was unable to completely neutralize it. I used the Dual Modes and Changxi’s Yin Moonlight Destiny to finally dispel it. If not for Changxi’s Destiny, her prospects would be grim.” Pausing, Qi Lin said: “Xian Zhen, help her dress.”

“Hm.”

Only then did Qi Lin notice that during the healing, he surprisingly did not have any lecherous thoughts. It seemed his Daoist heart was quite pure.

After she was dressed, Qi Lin found a safe place to hide her.

“Your Highness, will you not prepare to wait for her to awaken?” Xian Zhen asked.

“Of course I’m not waiting for her. I still need to go forge the Ninth Cauldron. What would I do dragging her deadweight with us.”

Xian Zhen said nothing. These words sounded like they came from a completely different man from the one that just treated the girl with such compassion.

“So this is it?” Xian Zhen felt this was a bit regrettable. If this girl was a Divine Name, that would prove very helpful to Qi Lin, but he did not feel like her savior, nor did he want to take advantage of her. This was like saving an insignificant passerby that happened to be along the way. This was so anticlimactic it was a bit unreal.

Qi Qi returned from her pathfinding at this time, and Qi Lin did not delay.

“Let’s go.”

…

Feng Huang’er slowly opened her eyes. Through blurry vision, she saw the backs of several figures leave, their voices right before her yet also far as the horizon. The girl twitched her finger; her nail still retained a bit of blood. She tried to memorize the person’s back, but in the end, the girl still shut her eyes.
