Qi Lin’s group entered the valley. The omnipresent aurora was like a screen of water, and everyone immediately felt chills. Even their bones were somewhat frigid. Descending the mountain, the group entered the divine path.

Qi Lin continuously observed this place’s fengshui. Very quickly, they reached the foot of the first tomb-guarding beast.

To be precise, the tomb-guarding beast was called a “stone statue” or a “Wengzhong.”1 When emperors held ceremonies in the past, other than civil and military officials lining both sides of the road, there were also trained lions, elephants, tigers, and other animals placed in cages along the road in order to bolster imperial majesty. After the emperor died, similar arrangements were required. Thus, before burial, stone statues were used a sort of way to demonstrate a ruler’s prestige.

Back on Earth, it was often possible to discern the position of the interred from the stone statues’ likeness, build, quantity, and even intimidation prior to entering the tomb. However, in Primordial World, it appeared the stone statues were not simply to flaunt imperial prestige.

Other than those of ministers and officials, the stone statues that Emperor Yao manifested through the aurora were all of very bizarre beasts. They were not ordinary tigers and lions, rather they were Fierce Beasts of Primordial World that were either rare or already extinct.

They all stared at the divine path’s construction, vivid and lifelike, intimidating all who would intrude.

After Qi Lin approached the stone statues, one tomb-guarding beast suddenly sprung to life. Like those aurora butterflies, this tomb-guarding Fierce Beast was also formed from evil qi as it pounced upon Qi Lin.

However, before it could even get close to Qi Lin, it was smashed to smithereens by Qi Qi’s Jingu Bang.

“Let’s hurry inside.” Nezha was not very comfortable in the aurora, and she wanted to leave this place quickly.

“Slow down.” QI Lin immediately called after her.

Nezha was confused. They were caught in the middle of evil qi, why would they go slow.

“The faster you move through here, the more evil qi invades your body. Walk slow, seal off your senses, and you’ll fare a bit better.” Qi Lin had already grasped the particulars of this evil qi and issued a stern warning.

“Are you of the Immemorial Royal Family? You know more than Master, you seem to understand everything.” Nezha was impressed.

The group slowly pressed forward, and the stone statues all came to life one after another.

The stone statues were not strong at all. Their magical energy was probably on par with God Transformation Realm, but their attacks were not aimed at dealing lethal blows. Rather, they were to deplete the target’s magical energy. In the midst of the evil qi aurora, the greater the target’s magical energy expenditure, the greater the evil energy encroachment. Qi Lin already warned about this, so they faced the stone statues’ assault with calm and equanimity.

Qi Qi raised her golden cudgel to clear the way; the Approaching Heaven magic treasure Ocean-calming Divine Needle was unstoppable.

Past the divine path, they spotted a stone arch. In front of the arch was a stone bridge formed from the aurora, and under the bridge was a moat. Beyond the bridge was an enormous gate.

In front of the bridge, Qi Lin hesitated.

Because this bridge was too illusory, they also did not dare step on. The moat below was like a void.

Just as they were about to fly across, all of a sudden, the entire valley fiercely jolted. An immense rumble came from underground, and an aurora soared into the sky. An immense figure rose up from the moat. This giant was so enormous, it towered like a mountain. Only half its body stood above the surface, and it was covered in malevolent bone spikes from head to toe. Its body was formed from the aurora, seemingly shattered pieces of moonlight.

“Hè.”

Qi Qi swung her staff. The Jingu Bang bore a rolling evil wind and qi as it hurtled towards the giant.

The aurora giant raised its four arms and grabbed at Qi Qi.

Its movements ripped apart space, surprisingly dispersing the Jingu Bang’s divine might. Qi Qi’s assault, however, was unstoppable. She swiftly rotated in the air, instantly arriving above the giant as she used Ten Thousand Celestial Soldiers Break. The Great Sage Equal Of Heaven’s figure multiplied, and the Jingu Bang hurtled downwards.

Qi Lin knew that they could not delay further. Emperor Yao likely was using this stone giant to force intruders to waste significant magical energy.

He brought out the Heaven-shaking Bow and Cloud-piercing Arrow, and he loosed a Sun-chasing Arrow.

The Cloud-piercing Arrow bore a vortex as it broke through the aurora and shot into the giant’s body. In the face of the attack, this giant’s body surprisingly scattered like light.

This caught Qi Lin by surprise. At this time, Nezha also threw her golden brick magic treasure.

Similarly, the golden brick magic treasure also passed through the aurora body without so much as a sound. Only Qi Qi’s Jingu Bang struck the giant’s body with blow after whistling blow.

“This giant may be impervious to ranged attacks. We have to get close.” When Qi Lin saw this, he brought out the Meteoric Iron Divine Staff.

Nezha wielded her tri-tipped spear.

The duo also launched an assault.

Changxi used Destiny “Cleanse Nine Moons, Bathe The Heavens” to protect the pair.

The three of them furiously exchanged blows with the aurora giant. It spread its four arms, and the faint aurora over its body unleashed countless butterflies. The butterflies flooded the valley and flew towards the group.

“Parishuddhi Universe!!!”

Great Sage Equal Of Heaven unleashed her Million Destinies.

The Jingu Bang radiated golden light, as if it was the sun rising out of the Eastern Sea. The staff’s golden qi blew in every direction. Wherever it passed, tens of thousands of butterflies were destroyed.

“Careful.” Qi Lin cried out in alarm.

The aurora giant did not stop at all. Its body loosed hundreds of rays of light.

One of these lights struck Qi Lin, and surging evil qi pierced into his bones, leaving him shuddering. Qi Lin activated the Dual Modes Seal, using “Birth And Destruction” to dispel the invading evil qi. Then, he moved in front of Qi Qi to intercept several beams of light.

The aurora giant swiped its arms again. A tail full of quills grew out of its back, and then it thrust the tail like a divine sword towards the trio.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh.

Qi Qi, Qi Lin, and Nezha were all repelled, wounds appearing on their bodies.

“It’s so strong.” Nezha took a deep breath, wondering why she felt so powerless facing this giant.

“This is sword-spine dragon!”

Qi Lin’s gaze swept through the valley and discovered the master-killing qi layout had already completely gathered onto this abyssal monster. Emperor Yao surprisingly used sword-spine dragon fengshui to act as a physical monster.

How powerful was this Emperor Yao; Qi Lin had only heard about “Fengshui Manifestation.”

“It seems Lord Husband has found the right place. Emperor Yao must have hidden something important here.” Changxi used her Yin Moonlight to heal the group.

But to cross this Sword-spine Dragon was too challenging. Its fengshui was inherently very strong, and now that it had manifested as something physical, the group would only grow weaker as time dragged on in this Master-killing Qi. Qi Lin could sense his magical energy weaken bit by bit. Fortunately, he had the Dual Modes Seal and could shield himself. Otherwise, the average God Transformation cultivator would suffer complete magical energy failure after some time elapsed.

“Hmph.” Qi Qi was not convinced and prepared to use her Chaos Rank Divine Energy.

Qi Lin stopped her and said in a low voice: “You people have been following Your Servant for quite some time already. Will you still just sit and watch?”

“Unless this Sword-spine Dragon is broken, you will likely return empty-handed.”

A group of people walked into the valley; they were none other than Gongyang Tu’s party.

“Gongyang Tu, Your Servant did not expect you.” Qi Lin smiled.

Gongyang Tu had no choice but to show himself, “How did you notice me?” Gongyang Tu had been convinced his concealment was very proficient.

Qi Lin’s “Qi Smelling Art” was already mostly combined with the Dual Modes. Neither activity nor still, neither entry nor exit could escape his detection. Noticing someone tailing him was too trivial.

“Just a guess.”

“Hm?”

“Your Majesty Xuanyuan, won’t you come out, too?” Qi Lin then said.

Yellow Emperor Xuanyuan’s Fenghou Zhijing2 and more also appeared from another place. Fenghou coldly said: “Would Her Majesty do something so mundane as tail someone.”

“So it was Elder Sister Fenghou. Did you come for Mount Tu as well?”

“News honestly reaches Xuanyuan and Chiyou fast.” Qi Lin curled the corner of his mouth. He wanted to smile but was unable to.3

“Mount Tu is the holy land of the Northern Primordial. Only the king may enter. You have been sneaking about Mount Tu, so my lord naturally felt this was strange. She commanded that I monitor you closely.” Gongyuang Tu was unconcerned.

Fenghou also said: “Before the king has been decided, we also do not wish for others to sully Mount Tu.”

Qi Lin was not in the mood to discuss this with them right now. He stared far into the distance at the Sword-spine Dragon. “I won’t hide that I’m here at Mount Tu for flood control. You likely have heard that Emperor Yao had previously left behind something to cast a Divine Cauldron. If we can find the Divine Cauldron, we can dispel the flood formation and control the waters.”

“Then Your Servant shall believe you this once.” Gongyang Tu said. He took up a long saber that was more than six chi in length; it was practically equal to a young man in height. The aurora reflected off the saber’s edge, vaguely revealing a heavenly staircase of flowing scripts, like hundreds of wriggling earthworms. The saber was pitch-black, its blood grooves glowing white. On the hilt was a drop of crimson that spilled outwards, emanating an incomparably violent killing intent.

Even a God Transformation cultivator would realize from this blade’s hair-raising loftiness, blood grooves, and heavenly staircase cloud patterns that this was a murder weapon that had taken countless lives.

Seeing Qi Lin’s astonishment at his weapon, Gongyang Tu was pleased with himself.

Chiyou was a God Of War and was particularly adept at forging weapons. This blade was imbued with Chiyou’s Divine Energy, and it was named “Slaughtering Heaven,”4 an extremely arrogant name that proclaimed it was capable of killing even Heaven.

Gongyang Tu raised Slaughtering Heaven and flew towards the Sword-spine Dragon, his saber-light loosed a green shadow that enveloped the Sword-spine Dragon.

This saber’s killing intent even forced back the evil qi.

“As expected of a weapon forged from the blood of Chiyou, very fierce.” Fenghou glanced at Qi Lin. She took up her Destined Divine Weapon, Natural Silk,5 which was capable of creating hurricanes and slaughtering entire armies.

The Sword-spine Dragon’s myriad butterflies were annihilated under the Natural Silk’s assault.

Qi Lin and Qi Qi at this time also stepped forward to assist; they needed to break the Sword-spine Dragon first then worry about the rest.

The groups coordinated, and mountain-toppling power crushed the valley. But this Sword-spine Dragon was a demon manifested through Master-killing Qi, and there was also tens of thousands of years of evil qi in this valley. Against this encirclement, its four arms all parried endlessly, their clashes with other weapons producing sparks.

The battle raged for a while, and the valley’s aurora began to weaken.

Qi Lin knew this Sword-spine Dragon fengshui was produced from trapped moonlight. Once the moonlight faded, the fengshui would vanish as well, and the moment that the moonlight was weakest was also the time that the Sword-spine Dragon was at its thinnest.

The Sword-spine Dragon supported its body that was in the abyss, and its sword-tail lashed out.

The ice-cold aurora immediately split apart. At the same time, the Sword-spine Dragon also made a final gambit. The light on its body was shed like a jacket, falling to the ground and turning into countless stone statues.

“Parishuddhi Universe.”

“Slaughtering Heaven Saber – One Stroke Two Halves.

Everyone continuously attacked the Sword-spine Dragon’s body with their powers and techniques. The moonlight dimmed, and the Sword-spine Dragon let out a desolate roar. Its figure also dimmed, and just as Qi Lin was about to take its head, he suddenly sensed frighteningly high temperatures rise up from the ground. The earth split apart, the air dried up, and the valley seemed to become an oven.

What?

Qi Lin was taken aback.

A flame ignited over the Sword-spine Dragon’s body. All of the aurora’s manifested statues were all evaporated by these terrifying high temperatures. The Sword-spine Dragon let out a blood-curdling screech, and the aurora on its body warped and disappeared. Then, a red-haired young woman descended from the sky. She then took the Sword-spine Dragon’s head.

“Everyone has been exhausted.”

The young woman looked at her own beautiful palm, and the aurora in her palm receded.

“Nüba!!”6

Gongyang Tu grit his teeth.
