“Nüba!”
Hearing Gongyang Tu’s words, Qi Lin was also inwardly shocked. That was a legendary drought deity from Chinese myth.
“Princess Highness.”
Fenghou and the others immediately greeted her.
The woman stood on the white bridge, showing it seemed to have substance, “Yao certainly spared no effort in devising this situation. Pity that it was destroyed by a brat who unaware of the expanse of Heaven and Earth.” The girl shot Qi Lin a mocking glance.
“If we can succeed in controlling the floods, I believe that even if Yao’s Divine Name were to be reborn, she would lend her full support.” Qi Lin said, brimming with righteousness.
Nüba faintly smiled.
At this time, the aurora had already become very weak. Following the disappearance of the Sword-spine Dragon, the valley’s aurora tomb was also slowly fading. Qi Lin did not waste his breath on her, for the priority was to first locate the tomb’s entrance.
Gongyang Tu sheathed Slaughtering Heaven and insincerely smiled at Nüba: “Her Majesty Xuanyuan actually dispatched her own daughter. It seems that Her Majesty places great value on the secret that Emperor Yao left behind.”
“Not at all, Young Lord Gongyang. Chiyou has dispatched her trusted aide. Presumably, this will not be so simple as returning home empty-handed.”
Gongyang Tu dryly laughed, “Princess Highness, you truly think highly of Tu. My lord does not need confidantes. I am simply here to look around.”
“Is that so? Only to look around?”
Nüba gazed at the four black-armored warriors. While the others faced off against the Sword-spine Dragon, they had remained unconcerned all along, appearing more impassive than a sculpture.
“Let us see whether or not this Qi Lin can find Emperor Yao’s secret.” Gongyang Tu did not want to stay on this topic and brought his forces across the stone bridge immediately afterwards.
Fenghou arrived at Nüba’s side, “Your Highness, it appears…”
Nüba hinted to her that she was aware.
“Mother is already at war with Chiyou. Let this man stay here forever and not interfere with Mother.”
…
“The Yellow Emperor has a daughter? She’s married?”
Qi Lin was quite curious after listening to the conversation behind them. In his recollection, gods could not possibly have marriages, particularly someone as renowned as Yellow Emperor Xuanyuan. Nezha disagreed: “How can the Yellow Emperor marry when she is that powerful. Even if she was willing to marry, the Four Dukes of Primordial World would not dare marry her. What daughter, if she felt one was adorable, then she would recognize that person as such.”
This was nothing new. After all, Primordial World had existed for millennia, and time was slow; there would always be a deity who would do such a thing.
“Hm.”
“Lord Husband, they do not seem too friendly.” Changxi whispered.
“We just need to keep our guard up.”
Qi Lin crossed the stone bridge and stood in front of that giant stone gate. Its aurora was also dimming, but the door was shut tight. Attempts were made to push it open, yet their hands passed right through, as if it did not exist.
Subordinates moved over a mahogany chair for the girl to sit in. She crossed her thighs and watched Qi Lin pace back and forth in front of the gate.
“We have expended enormous Divine Energy, Young Lord Qi Lin, you must not disappoint us.”
Qi Lin rubbed his forehead and carefully scrutinized the gate.
Given his past experience with Primordial World’s tombs and ruins, the secret that Emperor Yao left behind ought to be sealed in this place. However, she had used some special formation to conceal the entrance. If it could be broken, then they should be able to locate the entrance.
Qi Lin attempted to deduce what Emperor Yao would have back then under those circumstances.
Emperor Yao had prepared for a century to cast the Earlier Heaven magic treasure, “Nine Tripod Cauldrons.” Because casting an Earlier Heaven Divine Cauldron was a monumental project, she could not find any random spot to forge it. She definitely would use geomancy to find a spot with ideal fengshui. This spot was surely the Northern Primordial’s holy land, Mount Tu, but the activity in casting the Earlier Heaven Divine Cauldron would be enormous. Thus, she also needed to maintain the project’s secrecy.
Otherwise, others would pry into her plans. Even the other Four Emperors of the Heavenly Court back then would have brought significant trouble if they ever learned of this. After all, a treasure of fortune was likely the first of its kind, able to change the situation.
“Emperor Yao used her powers at Mount Tu to create Sword-spine Dragon fengshui, and then she spread rumors of a curse. This way, no one would disturb her.” Qi Lin muttered.
“But why would the aurora tomb’s arrangement appear in this valley…”
Qi Lin looked around. As the sequence of the layout of the entire tomb’s structure, the gate in front of him faced south towards Yuanbao Peak on Mount Tu. Yuanbao Peak was flanked on both its east and west sides by the Eastern and Western Huagai Peaks, becoming a natural an awe-inspiring barrier and backdrop in front of the tomb. On the east side of the valley was Nine Dragons Peak while the west had the sprawling Nine Phoenixes Peak; the main gate was wedged in the natural space between the two mountains. The terrain in front and back converged and formed a large corridor while the Yi River to the south further split off at this mountain pass, flowing north and south, the auspicious sign of dragons and phoenixes.
A stone bridge was in front, and in front of the gate were three stone archways to the north, west, and south, each with five apertures and six columns, making the tomb’s space become very compact.
Exquisite craftsmanship perfectly joined to show Emperor Yao’s extraordinary considerations.
Such a meticulous arrangement would inevitably fall apart if expanded outwards.
But although incomplete, the stone statues’ arrangement nevertheless formed snake feet.
“Snake feet…Snake terrain…Hit the snake at seven inches…”
Qi Lin had an epiphany.
This was it, it was surprisingly so ingenious.
Qi Lin could not help but want to applaud.
Seeing his appearance, Qi Qi, who was all too familiar with Qi Lin’s mannerisms, knew that her big brother had definitely solved the mystery of this aurora.
“The light is about to fade. If you are unable to find it, we can wait for tomorrow.” Gongyang Tu sneered.
“No can do. Once the Sword-spine Dragon was broken, this place’s fengshui was already destroyed. The next time the entrance will appear may be in a hundred years.” Qi Lin said.
“A hundred years? What is your basis for that?” Gongyang Tu was skeptical.
It was a waste to explain to someone who did not understand geomancy, but the Sword-spine Dragon was the fengshui that Emperor Yao had fabricated. Once broken, the evil qi would need time to reaccumulate.
“The snake’s seven inch point and qitang are dangerous, do not turn back lest you be injured. The lower back and viscera are also dangerous, for they will cause jaundice.”
Qi Lin slowly walked through the valley, reciting something.
With the Sword-spine Dragon broken, the scattering aurora was already gathering in the air and slithering about Mount Tu like a snake. Qi Lin’s gaze stared at the direction this snake was heading towards, at last stopping on the snake’s seven inch point.
“Let’s go, Qi Qi.”
Qi Lin activated the Escaping Heavenly Shuttle and flew with Nezha, Qi Qi, Changxi, and Lingmeng towards the seven inch point.
Seeing him leave the valley, Nüba, Gongyang Tu and the rest were not sure why, they were deeply aware that this man had grasped the trail to Emperor Yao’s secret, so they immediately followed along.
“Your Highness, he is apparently capable of geomancy?” Fenghou was a bit astonished.
“Impossible, how can a cultivator know geomancy. After the Primal Chaos Heavenly Court was destroyed and the Immemorial Royal Family was purged, geomancy was also lost. Even Mother understands little.” Nüba stared at Qi Lin.
“He seemed like a master of geomancy just now.”
“We shall see what mystery there is in the end.”
The snake’s seven inch point was at the back of the valley. That place was a craggy cliff, but unexpectedly, there was also a similar aurora gate.
Qi Lin did not hesitate to propel the Escaping Heavenly Shuttle towards the gate branded into the cliff. Then, something inconceivable happened. An aurora ring appeared at the center of the gate that completely swallowed Qi Lin’s figure.
