Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded Banner!!
Qi Lin activated the formation. The twelve banners revolved, trapping hundreds of beasts.
The Corpse Tree’s evil qi expanded, and an evil wind gusted. The Corpse Tree produced more Demon Core phantoms in an attempt to break through the formation, to rip apart everyone. Qi Lin was fully aware that if he let its Divine Energy break through the Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded Banner. If even the Great Sage Equal Of Heaven was unable to last a single blow, they would necessarily become feed for this Five Peril.
The Corpse Tree filled this wilderness’ fengshui with an unprecedented omen of inauspiciousness such that Qi Lin was unable to see any trace of the auspicious.
“If you want to go face the Corpse Tree now, then you must seize this chance to break this inauspicious qi to do so.” Qi Lin’s expression was grave. If this continued, there would not even be bones left of them.
Qi Qi worried for her big brother’s safety. Without needing him to say so, the girl leapt into the air, her evil qi surging. All of the Divine Energy in her body became a gigantic ape that stood indomitable, exceptionally gargantuan, but compared to the hill-like Corpse Tree, it was still so small and miniscule.
At the same time, Su Xuesha pointed her finger and activated her Destined Skill.
Countless stars twinkled, enveloping the pair.
Under the light of the stars, the Corpse Tree’s qi immediately receded, like a black curtain drawn back, revealing the halo of a resplendent moon.

Availing herself the unprecedented momentum that the stellar lights brought her, Qi Qi’s evil qi instantly surged like an immortal’s qi. The girl roared, drawing an enormous arc in the air as she raised the Meteoric Iron Divine Staff. With speed that could not be tracked by the naked eye, her figure broke through the mummy trees, and like a shooting star of darkness, she dropped straight from the sky above the Corpse Tree.
The staff emitted an overwhelming evil qi, and black clouds surrounded the Corpse Tree.
Su Xuesha’s Destiny “Myriad Stars Shining Moon” borrowed the power of tens of thousands of stars, allowing herself to imbue her own Divine Energy to a target. In an instant, Qi Qi’s power rose to a new level. Her strike at this moment was not at all inferior compared to when she faced the Western encirclement.
But what she faced now was one of the Five Perils that had slumbered for tens of thousands of years – the Corpse Tree.
An indestructible tree.
The countless Demon Cores embedded in the Corpse Tree glowed with a dim light. The next instant, an intense shockwave exploded from the two clashing forces. The powerful forces swallowed each other at the point of impact, letting out a hair-raising, disharmonious ringing sound.
The scorching power suddenly engulfed the entire battlefield, and even the endless leyline let out a groan.
Piercing through the Corpse Tree’s obstructions, the Great Sage Equal Of Heaven’s staff swung down.
“Ahhhh!!!”
The girl bared her fangs and shot an angry glare.
Boom!!!!
This mighty and immense staff seemed able to split Heaven and Earth. The Meteoric Iron Divine Staff directly cutting apart a scorching flame like a shooting star splitting the heavens. It tore apart the mist, and wherever the flames passed, the earth cracked open.
But even with such formidable power, an eerie roar suddenly made Qi Lin and Su Xuesha’s elation and hope immediately vanish into dust.
The ghastly hole had been put into the Corpse Tree by the staff, but the Demon Cores inside instead glowed even brighter – many of the ancient and deathly still Demon Beasts and Demon Spirits were awakening one by one – it had been infuriated.
“What?”
Qi Lin immediately sensed that the power of the ten thousand beasts trapped by the Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded Banners was increasingly vast. Many never-before-seen Demon Beasts awakened and charged towards the formation. Qi Lin attempted to use the Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded Banner to refine these Demon Souls into a part of the banner, but the souls of these ancient Demon Beast’s were honestly too vast. Even trapping them would be very difficult.
Unless it was an Approaching Heaven magic treasure, others would have already been reduced to dust against the Corpse Tree.
Su Xuesha and Qi Qi were wounded, unable to continue battle.
The Corpse Tree’s inauspicious qi spread, forming an array, recoiling against the group.
In Qi Lin’s eyes, what he saw was a despairing grey, an unprecedented portent of doom. The inauspicious form was like a giant cage of primordial chaos deeply rooted in the ground, firmly trapping them.
There was no way out.
A feeling of powerless ness filled Qi Lin. He was nearly about to give up on operating the Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded Banner.
Just at this moment, a ray of green qilin-light shot out of Qi Lin’s chest. This light was extraordinary, bearing auspicious qi and clouds. The ground was immediately covered with strange flowers. “Master, I will help you.” In his mind, the mysterious woman’s voice surfaced.
The instant she appeared, the green light shot through the Corpse Tree’s Ten Thousand Demons Inauspicious Array like a bridge. Under this green light, the hazy evil qi dispersed, and the air seemingly sprinkled fragments of colored glass; it was like colored glass was floating in the air. These fragments then became auspicious clouds one after another.
A dragon scale-like path surprisingly appeared in an instant through the inauspicious grounds of this peril of perils. And on this road, the inauspicious forms that the Corpse Tree conjured were unexpectedly converted instantly into auspicious forms.
“Azure Dragon Winding…” Qi Lin was astonished.
This was none other than the great auspicious fengshui of one of the Four Symbols – Azure Dragon Winding.
Just as the Five Perils Corpse Tree was capable of altering fengshui, turning good to bad, there was also a Holy Beast capable of turning bad to good.
And Qi Lin just so happened to have seen one before.
Qilin-light glowed. The originally faltering Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded Banner was surprisingly imbued with a mysterious power and refined the demons caught inside in an instant. “Master, hurry and go, go save the Illusion.” The mysterious girl’s voice was urgent.
Qi Lin did not hesitate to cross the Azure Dragon winding’s path. The Escaping Heavenly Shuttle rose, and he pulled in the dazed Qi Qi and Su Xuesha.
Just as Qi Lin turned his head back to recall the Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded Banner, he discovered the specter of a Holy Beast Qilin had appeared in the middle of the formation; the banner resisted. “The banners cannot be retrieved, otherwise Master will not be able to escape.” The mysterious girl anxiously said.
“Then, you…” Qi Lin’s expression changed.
“I will be fine. Please, Master, have faith in me.”
The Corpse Tree’s inauspicious forms barreled over to smother the Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded and the Azure Dragon Winding.
The situation was pressing. Qi Lin knew he needed to abandon the banners. “You, wait for me…” Qi Lin was in incomparable agony. He grit his teeth, stepped aboard the Escaping Heavenly Shuttle, and moved through the Azure Dragon Winding’s path.
The bridge of green light stretched straight into the endless abyss.
When the sinister qi receded, Qi Lin knew he had escaped the Corpse Tree’s inauspicious grounds, but when he turned back to look, in the moment the Azure Dragon Winding vanished, the Corpse Tree’s evil qi had already devoured the Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded Banners and even the qilin’s phantom. He had no further link to them.2
