Their escape-light entered the deep sea directly. Very quickly, an enormous water abode appeared in the coral leylines.

When they suddenly saw Nezha standing on her Wind Fire Wheels, they all threw down their armor in fright and rushed into the palace: “Nezha is here, run away!”
Qi Lin cast her a sidelong glance.
Nezha disapprovingly said: “I had a contest of strength with the Jiao Demon King when I first arrived. She said she would be my subordinate in defeat. She also made me conquer the Eastern Sea, saying that the Dragon Palace and I have karma.”
Qi Lin nodded. So it turned out the Jiao Demon King was the source of all calamity.
Nezha shouted: “Get the Jiao Demon King out here. Nezha has business with her. What kind of Great Sage are you, hiding away in there.”
The little girl’s aura was resounding as a bell, creating tremors in the water, churning the waves.
The Waterkin guard could not take anymore and shouted: “Please, have mercy, Great Deity, the Great King is attending a banquet and not present in the abode at the moment.”
“A banquet, a Demonkin Divine Name like her is actually enjoying such leisure.” Nezha snorted.
“How long has your Great King been gone?” Qi Lin asked.
“Two days.”
“She likely knows she scammed Me and is deliberately laying low.” Nezha twitched her mouth.
“I am the majestic Great Sage Of Overturning Seas, one of the Demonkin Seven Sages, as if I could be in hiding. Great Deity Of Three Altars And Seas Nezha, you are too presumptuous.” A lofty voice suddenly spoke.
A girl with black clothes, blue hair, a black horn, and a sinister countenance rode a bizarre black seahorse over from a distance.
This woman’s eyes were filled with a sinister charm that was unnerving.
Her gaze landed on Qi Lin.
“Nezha, why have you brought a man here. Could it be that you found an Emissary to bear the karma in your stead.” The Jiao Demon King insincerely smiled.
“Jiao Demon King, you clearly knew that the Dragon Palace had the Heaven-connecting Ocean-calming Array and actually still instigated This Deity.” Nezha was very elated as she raised the Huntian Ling to attack.
Two clubs appeared in the Jiao Demon King’s hands, and she met the assault of the Huntian Ling.
“I never imagined that even you, the Great Deity Of Three Altars And Seas Nezha, would be unable to break the array. This formation of the Dragon Palace is surprisingly very formidable. In the past, this was not the case.” Great Sage Of Returning Seas Jiao Demon King furrowed her brow: “It seems the rumors were true. The Central Plains Divine Court has given the Ocean-calming Divine Needle to the Dragon Palace as a treasure guard.”
“What else do you know, hurry and spit it out.” Nezha asked.
The Jiao Demon King smiled, her gaze returning to Qi Lin: “Who are you, for what reason have you come to This Sage’s water abode. Though This Water Abode cannot compare to the Dragon Palace, we do not fear you.”
Qi Lin had been staring at this sinister and domineering Jiao Demon King the whole time. She was more shrewd than the sea was deep, unfathomable, but there was no doubt that she harbored deep ambitions; she could not conceal this point.
“Great Sage, you misunderstand. Your Servant is Qi Lin, an Invested Deity Emissary. We did not come here with Nezha to launch an assault. Rather, we would like to collaborate with the Great Sage.” Qi Lin was fully aware that his Golden Core Late Stage Realm was still insufficient to convince the Jiao Demon King to cooperate. Only his status as an Invested Deity Emissary could make her take notice of him.
An Emissary.
The Great Sage Of Returning Seas Jiao Demon King was not surprised. Truthfully, she had already noticed Changxi.
“First, announce your Divine Name.”
“I cannot, I’m afraid.”
“Cannot?” The Jiao Demon King sinisterly smiled: “Did you not come here with Nezha to ask This Sage to go break the Heaven-connecting Ocean-calming Array together? On what basis should This Sage let an unknown Divine General take advantage of Me.”
As expected, this Great Sage Of Returning Seas’ schemes ran very deep, and she was far from being adorable like Nezha.
“We combine powers to break the array, how can we take advantage of you. The Great Sage exaggerates.” Qi Lin amiably said.
“Enough nonsense.” The woman barked. She jumped off the seahorse and swung her clubs.
The seawater was sliced apart. The Jiao Demon King’s attack carried unstoppable force without any leeway. Her target was not Qi Lin but Changxi.
Although Emissaries received the Divine Name’s power, they were emissaries in the end, nothing noteworthy.
Changxi did not panic. Although her martial prowess was not strong, she knew that someone would protect her. Qi Lin used the Dual Modes Seal to intercept the clubs’ power. The Jiao Demon King sneered. Seeing this situation, her assault suddenly intensified. The clubs were like a black dragon bursting out of the sea, roaring as they carried terrifying pressure.
This Jiao Demon King’s clubs immediately broke the strength and gentleness. Qi Lin’s other hand attacked with the Nine Fingers Of Hell, and the successive finger-shadows attempted to thwart the clubs’ attack.
How could the Jiao Demon King suffer an insignificant cultivator to dare bluster before her. She jeered, and her figure suddenly lengthened, surging like a dragon. The seafloor immediately quaked, and a rolling wave barreled over with enormous pressure.
This is bad.
Qi Lin did not expect the Jiao Demon King to be so resolute. Not only did she not underestimate him because of his status, instead, he felt that she was using full power. This Great Sage Of Returning Seas likely wanted to kill him.
Although joining forces to break the Heaven-connecting Ocean-calming Array was very enticing, killing an Emissary and Divine Name to devour their Divine Energy and Destiny was also a good choice.
“To think of destroying the Dragon Palace without sufficient strength is a vain delusion that is bound to doom yourself. If you have the strength to survive, then we can discuss collaboration.” The woman sneered, not hesitating to divulge the avarice in her heart. She was like a dragon, and the clubs twisted around Qi Lin.

This Jiao Demon King was simply savage. Qi Lin was astounded, for he yet underestimated the Jiao Demon King’s viciousness. Originally, he thought that by coming together with Nezha, this Jiao Demon King would be somewhat cautious. How could he have anticipated she would instead be fearless.
“Big Brother Qi Lin.” Changxi was worried. She promptly used Cleanse Nine Moons, Bathe The Heavens. Nine shining moons supported Qi Lin, protecting him like armor. Against the Jiao Demon King’s ruthless attacks, she did not dare be careless either.
The Ten Thousand Dragons Shears suddenly shot towards the nine moons, emitting a ghastly light.
The iron club’s dragon-shadows launched towards Qi Lin. The nine moons protecting were unable to bear this assault, and their glow flickered rapidly.
One by one, the nine moons went dark, but by their sheer power, the Jiao Demon King’s Ten Thousand Dragons Shears were surprisingly unable to break through. The Jiao Demon King frowned. Her attack was Million Destinies level, enough to truss a Primordial Infant like a chicken, but for it to be unable to rip apart even the power of a Golden Core cultivator’s Divine Name, just how strong was this Divine Name.
The Jiao Demon King ceased her offensive. Her slender body stood in the sea, and her horns darkened, their flowing demonic qi honestly resembling a dragon.
“Just what Divine Name are you.” The Jiao Demon King stared at Changxi.
“Could you be Seventh Brother, Great Sage Equal Of Heaven?” The Jiao Demon King apparently sensed something.
“Chang’s Divine Name is not known to Your Distinguished Self.” Changxi said.
“Is that so.” The Jiao Demon King’s gazed swept around in search of any clues.
Nezha stepped forward at this time and said: “Jiao Demon King, Qi Lin is my benefactor. If you dare kill him, I will flay you.” The little girl spoke bluntly, and the Huntian Ling showed faint killing intent.
The Great Sage Overturning Seas was still quite fearful of Nezha and thus retracted her hostility.
“Very well. Since Nezha is so confident in you, then I, too, shall have faith in you.”
“Is the Great Sage willing to join forces to destroy the array together.” Qi Lin breathed a sigh of relief.
“Breaking the Heaven-connecting Ocean-calming Array means breaking the four minor arrays. Each one has a powerful magic treasure protecting it, and the Ocean-calming Divine Needle of the Center has shaken Primordial World before. You, myself, and even this man, who is somewhat capable. That is merely three, how can we break the array?” The Jiao Demon King sneered. Her considerations ran much deeper than Nezha’s. Nezha wanted only to break the array and thus knocked on the front door, completely oblivious to the fact that the Dragon Palace was the number one power of the Eastern Sea. The shrimp soldiers, crab generals, and turtle ministers could even ward off a God Transformation cultivator while on the seafloor.
They, alongside Third Prince Ao Bing, would undoubtedly stand guard over the four arrays. How could they allow them to break so easily.
“If the Great Sage Equal Of Heaven were here, This Great Sage could try.”
Nezha asked: “Why must Great Sage Equal Of Heaven Sun Wukong be present?”
“Because of the Ocean-calming Divine Needle, right?”
“This Great Sage is here only to wait for and help Seventh Sister retrieve the Ocean-calming Divine Needle. With the Great Sage Equal Of Heaven, breaking the Heaven-connecting Ocean-calming Array would not be impossible.” The Jiao Demon King spoke with determination, but Qi Lin was not very certain about how truthful her words were.
However, what she said was somewhat reasonable. When the Dragon Palace’s power was so vast, relying on just the three of them was too insufficient. Could it be he actually needed to reveal Qi Qi’s identity?
The situation in the Eastern Sea was too complicated. Qi Lin decided that no matter what, he could not allow Qi Qi to be exposed.

Presumably, they are also probing the Dragon Palace’s treasures. If we can convince them to attack the array together, I wonder if the Great Sage Of Overturning Seas would still not be confident.”
The Jiao Demon King rolled her eyes. “You want to persuade the Nine Great Primordial Infants?”

“This scale is This Great Sage’s magic treasure, the ‘Overturning Sea Scale.’ I shall lend it to you.”
This treasure was refined by the Jiao Demon King. As long as she was not dead and her consciousness intact, it would be very difficult for anyone to steal it. The Jiao Demon King was thus not afraid of Qi Lin absconding with it.
Although the Eastern Sea was vast, provoking her would leave no safe place to hide.
Qi Lin thanked her.
Afterwards, he left the Water Abode with Changxi and Nezha.

“The Great King is wise.”

The Jiao Demon King’s eyes contained only ruthlessness.

Man… I’m hoping this doesn’t get too m3ssy… Especially with someone as scheming as this Great Sage…
For a dragon, Nezha’s characterization of her makes her seem very sly and duplicitous.
