The Taowu’s evil qi sprung forth, and an evil wind suddenly filled the entire passageway. This seemingly calm corridor in the tomb was immediately turned into something more dangerous than any mechanism. Qi Lin could never have surmised that this tomb actually hid one of Chinese history’s Four Perils, the Taowu.

Black wind and evil qi rolled forth. QI Lin and Wang Jiang saw they could not escape and could only face them directly.

The Taowu’s evil qi wrapped around Qi Lin’s body, and he felt an indescribable agony. All of his pore were invaded, his meridians and pores seemingly clogged. Qi Lin felt unable to open them.

The light surrounding Wang Jian also dimmed in an instant within the black qi.

“The two of you can be buried together.” The Taowu’s voice was low and hoarse. Its form was strange, like it was made of smoke, seemingly intangible. It opened its mouth and unleashed a blast of evil wind and qi in the mausoleum.

This tomb was the inauspicious fengshui location of the “Ten Thousand Beasts Devour Corpse,” and the “Taowu” was famous as one of Primordial World’s Four Perils. When two Perils were together, even an Ancient Realm Divien name Star General would have a hard time, let alone the merely True Ancient Realm Wang Jian.

“Hundred Thousand Destinies: Jian Destroys Six Kingdoms!!”

Wang Jian was entangled by the evil qi. She grit her teeth and unleashed her strongest Destined strike.

The power in her body ignited in her sword and became six sword-lights. These six sword-lights arranged themselves mysteriously in midair. Finally, with Wang Jian as the center, they formed the shape of the Ling Guang seven stars. Under her control, the six sword-lights pounced towards the Taowu with the power to destroy kingdoms.1

A Destined Ability was a Divine Name Star General’s strongest technique, paid for with her own life. Once used, there was no room to retreat. “Do not destroy This Taowu’s slumbering grounds.” The Taowu’s body shook, and it seemed to scoff in the face of the Hundred Thousand Destinies.

A cloud of evil qi entangled the Jian Destroys Six Kingdoms’ sword-lights. The bright, flame-like sword-lights were instantly turned black under the Taowu’s power.

Wang Jian’s expression was even paler, and she showed an aghast expression – her Destiny was surprisingly corrupted by the Taowu and taken for its own use.

The six sword-lights were scattered by the black qi. The Taowu mockingly opened its mouth.

How could Qi Lin’s current cultivation even be able to withstand it. A black wind rolled him and Wang Jian together, and the Taowu sneered as it pushed them into the coffin. The black wind was like a giant hand dragging them back into the mausoleum.

Qi Lin’s Dark Heaven magic treasure was completely unusable. Under the Taowu’s evil qi imprisonment, his thoughts could hardly manifest, and his body did not listen to him.

In a single breath’s time, Qi Lin and Wang Jian were pulled into the bronze coffin suspended in the air. The Taowu’s black qi flooded the coffin, the coffin lid shut, and the palace gates closed with a loud rumble. The entire palace was completely empty and deathly silent, as if nothing had ever happened.

The inside of the bronze coffin was a pocket dimension containing all kinds of strange sculptures and scripts. The pocket dimension was tiny, only large enough to allow a single person to lay down. Of course, other than the lovers’ coffin, practically all coffins in a tomb could contain only a single person.

Qi Lin and Wang Jian appeared to be very close, stuck tightly together in a position with the man on top and the woman on bottom. The woman’s extraordinarily plump breasts were squeezed flat, and their skin contact made Wang Jian’s eye widen. She even wanted to die. Though she wished to push aside this young man squashing her, her entire body was immobilized.

“I can’t help this either.” Qi Lin put on an innocent face. He could not help but admit she had an extremely fine figure, skin so soft that a breath could break it. Squished on top of her body, it was like he was sleeping on a giant mattress even softer than a Simmons. The ancients often said, nothing was better than the “land of the tender.”

“You!!” Wang Jian hatefully glared at Qi Lin.

“If you’d just listened to me, we wouldn’t have fallen into this state.” Qi Lin sighed.

“Don’t breathe on me.” The man’s yang-qi hit her in the face, and Wang Jian’s entire body felt limp.

“Is this your first time so close to a man?” Qi Lin teased. He gently blew and became even more excited.

“Shameless.” Wang Jian bit her lip. If not for being trapped by the Taowu, she would definitely kill this man even if it mean exhausting her Destiny.

Qi Lin did not tease her any more. He seriously said: “Now that our situation is so desperate, we need be a bit more optimistic.”

Ever since they awakened the Taowu, Wang Jian had already fallen into despair. She regretted only that she was unable to assist Shi Huang Di or fight those millions of Star Names for an Invested Deity feat. However, what depressed her was that the way her grand Vermilion Bird Divine General Wang Jian name had fallen was so sad, surprisingly dying together with a man inside a coffin. She feared this would be a shadow that lingered in her heart even in her next life.

“Is this Marquis of Ten Thousand Beasts’ Divine Name ‘Gun?'”2 Qi Lin asked.

“En? How did you know?” Wang Jian said in astonishment.

Indeed, it was Gun.

Gun was a legendary figure in ancient Chinese legends, surnamed Si, named Ji, of the Xia Clan. He was the son of Emperor Zhuanxi, the father of Yu the Great, and the grandfather of Qi. Back then, after Gun was unable to control the waters and was executed, his son, Yu the Great, took over his work.

Because of the resentment from his execution, Gun’s grudge became the Taowu, one of the Four Perils.

Primordial World could not possibly have such a transformation. Should a Divine Name fall, most records indicated they would return to primal chaos, awaiting birth in the next life.

So…

“This mausoleum wasn’t where the Marquis Of Ten Thousand Beasts was buried at all. Rather, it’s the place Gun raised the Four Perils.”

A place of inauspicious fengshui where ten thousand beasts devoured corpses. A tomb hidden inside a mountain. Empty mechanisms and a coffin hanging in the air. This mausoleum’s various oddities were contrary to the Classic of Burial. Even the Immemorial Royal Family could not possibly commit such a folly. In other words, this tomb was specifically constructed back then by the Marquis Of Ten Thousand Beasts in order to raise the Four Perils. It was a pity that along with the decline of the Immemorial Royal Family and her own death, this place had been lost forever.

If not for Qi Lin and Wang Jian’s inadvertent intrusion, her Divine Name’s power disturbing this peril, perhaps this “Taowu Tomb” would have stayed undiscovered for another hundred thousand years.

“Are you really capable of geomancy?” Wang Jian was skeptical.

“I’ve never fooled a little sister.” Qi Lin was powerless. If only Wang Jian had believed him earlier, this would not have happened.

“Geomancy is the Destiny of the Shaman Clan, why are you capable of this?” Wang Jian did not dare believe him: “Just who are you?”

“What’s the point of talking about this now?” Qi Lin pondered a way to escape.

The woman was silent.

Given the Taowu’s power, Qi Lin and Wang Jian currently had no way at all to escape from the coffin. The only chance he had was to wait for Qi Qi to find him. But the Taowu had already been raised by the inauspicious fengshui in this tomb for a hundred thousand years, absorbing this location’s inauspicious qi. With Qi Qi’s barely awakened Middle Ancient Realm, she may not be able to take down this Peril.

Qi Lin was a bit worried about her.

While Qi Lin pondered upon countermeasures, he did not notice the woman under him was quietly watching him. Qi Lin’s earnest thinking appearance left Wang Jian unable to help but be fascinated. In the Vermilion Bird Divine General’s eyes, this man that was squashing her seemingly became not so loathsome. After all, having been captured by the Taowu, even she was in a bit of despair while this young man unexpectedly was not resigned to death.

Just as she thought this.

At this time, the black qi emanating from the statues slowly permeated this pocket dimension, drawing the pair’s attention. That black qi was as viscous as water, and when it touched them, their clothes surprisingly began to dissolve.

“Huh??” Wang Jian’s coat slowly melted, gradually revealing her bare jade skin below.

Qi Lin’s clothes were also quickly melting away.

Not good.

It seemed that the Taowu wanted to dissolve the two inside the coffin, then consume their power.

“Oh, just kill me…” Wang Jian’s eyes were filled with despair. Very quickly, more than half her clothes were melted, exposing much of her skin. Even her secret place was revealed. But this was not the most critical issue. More critical was that Qi Lin’s clothes were also melting, and the woman could practically feel their skin to skin contact.

The man’s body seemed to want to break into hers. Her limbs were weak, and there was a strange feeling all over her body.

Qi Lin originally wanted to pin his hopes on stalling for time until Qi Qi found this place, then wield the Great Sage Equal Of Heaven’s might to rescue them, but given the current melting speed, it would not be long before the two of them were reduced to puddles.

There must be a way, there must be a way to escape.

Qi Lin closed his eyes, unintentionally enjoying the touch of their skin. In his mind, he had apparently forgotten something important and was unable to recall it at all.

“I, Wang Jian, never imagined that not only would I be unable to seize the Ten Thousand Beasts Banner, I would instead die to the Peril that the Marquis Of Ten Thousand Beasts raised, and so unsightly at that. Your Majesty, I will repay you in the next life.” Wang Jian’s hopes turned to dust.

Ten Thousand Beasts Banner? Marquis Of Ten Thousand Beasts…

Raised.

Right, it turned out to be this.

Qi Lin opened his eyes.

  1. So six sword-lights but seven stars? I’m guessing she herself is among them.
