Good fortune could be called god, its hidden trail a ghost.
Yu The Great wore a magnificent long robe as she walked onto the tall ceremonial altar. All of the citizens of the Ji Tribe followed respectfully behind her, and the tribe’s elders flanked her, offering counsel.
“King Yu, reconsider.”
“King Yu, you must not perform this ceremony so flippantly.”
“King Yu, rescind your decree.”
Even Bo Yi showed a bit of worry.
The prayer ceremony was an important ritual for the head of a Great Shaman tribe. The target of the prayer was supposed to occupy a significant position, and generally speaking, the elders of the tribe would use it to bless the chief. This type of ceremony gathered the tribe’s fortune and imbued it into the chief, multiplying their magical energy several times and increasing their Realm. They had never heard of the tribe’s chief blessing an ordinary cultivator. Should such a thing be done, then that would indicate this elder brother was not so simple; this was completely placing that cultivator in a position above that of the chief.
Yu The Great gently smiled, as if this was normal. Her smile was kindly an amiable, yet they could not refuse her.
“The Northern Primordial tribes are all powerless to slay the Fuzhu. If Elder Brother fails at the final stretch, then the tribe will no longer exist either. Compared to the title of chief, just which one is more important?”
Bo Yi could not refute her. Even at this moment, “Water-controlling Human Sovereign” Yu The Great Si Wenming’s thinking was still on the fate of all the tribes in the Northern Primordial.
King Yu walked onto the tall altar, and the tribespeople knelt around it.
The priests surrounded King Yu and began a bizarre dance. King Yu recited a prayer, uttering an incantation.
There was singing as far as the eye could see, and spirit-lights surged into the nine firmaments, vanishing without a trace.
Northern Primordial, an unknown valley.
The flood waters crashed and rolled like a roaring dragon.
If one looked carefully, they would notice eight Later Heaven Bagua symbols hovering in the eight directions around this mountain. A woman was in the middle of casting her spell. This woman wore a dark red long robe, a shawl as thin as a cicada’s wing, and an exquisite hairpin.
She had short, layered hair, delicate features, and a complex Divine Crest on her forehead, like countless flames joined together.
The Zhen East symbol was extinguished.
The Kan Shui symbol was extinguished.
Li South, Kun Southwest…
One after another, the symbols faded.
The woman opened her eyes, which were extremely gorgeous, more scorching than the sun, and brimmed with an intimidating aura that could melt the will of all things. She grunted and formed a hand seal.
“My Emperor, someone is ruining our great plan.”
“So it turned out to be Knower Of All Things Bai Ze’s mischief. I shall take her head.”
“Be at ease, My Emperor. This formation has the assistance of the ‘Fuzhu.’ Even Xuanyuanshi is unable to slay it. There are three days left until the formation’s completion. They will not be able to have their way.”
“As you say.”
The woman watched the churning floods, as if something was about to burst out from beneath the water. One could vaguely see a sleeping woman under the water, waiting to awaken.
Time continued to flow like a river.
The flowing river roared, and Mount Ao’an crumbled bit by bit.
Qi Lin and Qi Qi launched a fierce assault on the Fuzhu. Each time they struck, their power made the mountain collapse that much more, but the Fuzhu possessed sturdy defenses. This Divine Beast’s power far surpassed what the duo could achieve together. Its antlers emitted light, acting like two weapons that blocked the swings of the Jingu Bang and the Blood Transformation Divine Blade.
Thrust, slice, slash, stab.
Each and every move was unable to break the Fuzhu’s defenses.
“This One previously served Emperor Yao. Ignorant mortal, you shall die here without a corpse to bury.”
The wind and rain were swords that followed the Fuzhu’s pentatonic voice flew towards the Qi siblings.
Qi Qi’s staff knocked aside the storm, the iron staff emitting blinding rays of golden light that slammed into the Fuzhu. The Fuzhu’s unblemished antlers had undergone ten thousand years of refinement and were on par with an Approaching Heaven magic treasure. It resisted with pure strength, the Jingu Bang and horns grinding at each other. The Fuzhu took a step back, its hooves raising a curtain of rain as its Divine Energy swelled.
Just at this moment, the Fuzhu’s body suddenly glowed with spirit-light, and it surprisingly transformed into a handsome man clad in white clothes, his hands gripping two antler-shaped weapons.
“Thousand Cavalry, Cloak Cuts The Rain!”
The human-metamorphosed Fuzhu brandished his twin blades. The surrounding waters became a massive army of cavalry that charged the siblings.
Qi Lin imbued the Dual Modes into his body techniques. The Yin Yang Fortune Body resisted the Fuzhu’s power, and the Blood Transformation Divine Blade released a rain of blood. Its blade-lights poured down over the Fuzhu, the series of blade-lights dazzling. A God Transformation cultivator would undoubtedly die if touched by the blade, and a High Ancient Divine Realm would suffer. But the Fuzhu’s clothes remained impervious as the incoming blade-lights were dispelled one after another by the antler blades’ lights.
Bang.
The Ruyi Jingu Bang was brandished with heavy Divine Energy, blowing away the cavalry-storm. Qi Qi rushed forward, golden light obscuring the Fuzhu’s vision.
The man gracefully turned and intercepted with the antler blades.
“Hè.”
The Jingu Bang’s Divine Energy pushed mercilessly down on the Fuzhu’s shoulder, forcing him down to a knee.
“Futile.”
The Fuzhu suddenly brandished his twin blades, bringing down endless wind and rain. He spun, and the antler-blades were like a cyclone, slicing fiercely. The wind and rain in the storm of the twin blades became terrifying weapons crueler than any blade.
“Careful.”
Qi Lin pressed forth his magical energy, and the Blood Transformation Divine Blade warded off this hurricane attack.
The Fuzhu’s power alone contended against the combined efforts of the sibling, but gradually, it showed signs of exhaustion.
“Emperor Yao’s divine blessing, Good Weather For Crops!”
The Fuzhu used an ability. Between Heaven and Earth, the storm suddenly came to a stop. The winds stopped howling, and the rain ceased its fury. For this brief moment, that wild storm assault was so eerily docile, a terrifying, deathly stillness of time and space.
But this kind of quiet made Qi Lin unable to feel any peace and instead felt even more danger compared to the Fuzhu’s prior attack. All of his pores suddenly contracted, his hair stood on end, and chills ran throughout his body. His Yin Yang Fortune Body collected worldly spiritual power as well as cultivated the essence of the sun and moon. It was far from comparison to an average body cultivation ability, and even average Divine Names could hardly contend against it.
And yet an instinctive sense of danger made his body react in this instant. Qi Lin promptly used the “Dual Modes” to protect himself.
In this instant of deathly silence, the Fuzhu showed a cold smirk as it fixed its gaze on him.
The quiet wind and the halted rain suddenly all wrapped around Qi Lin like an enormous black hole. No one could have reacted in time, not even Qi Qi. The Great Sage Equal Of Heaven looked on as her big brother was constricted by the storm. Back then, Emperor Yao had conferred her protection upon the Fuzhu and all under Heaven was at peace. With this “protection,” the Fuzhu cultivated to its limit. Not only did it gain the reputation of being the Northern Primordial’s Divine Beast, it also gained the reverence of many Divine Names. In the end, however, the Fuzhu was not a Divine Beast. A Divine Beast was a sign of prosperity, but to see the Fuzhu was to “portend floods.” This power focused all Divine Energy to create the facade of a world at peace, but after the peace came destruction. Explosive energy would instantly cover the target, and even a High Ancient Divien Realm’s Vajra Indestructible body could hardly resist.
The Fuzhu knew that Qi Lin was Qi Qi’s Divine Emissary. The greatest weakness of a Divine Name’s contract was the death of the contractor. In accordance with the contract, the Divine Emissary was apportioned divine power, but if the contractor died, that would produce irreversible consequences. Qi Lin’s Dark Heaven magic treasure and Approaching Heaven magic treasure made the Fuzhu already feel fear; its sole chance of victory was to kill him at the first possible moment.
Everything was as the Fuzhu had foreseen. “Good Weather For Crops” thoroughly devoured Qi Lin. Let alone Primordial Infant, even a Void Return Realm cultivator would be completely annihilated, leaving not a single scrap. Just as the Fuzhu was about to launch an attack on Qi Qi, it suddenly noticed something was wrong. The girl showed no signs of injury, not even a bit of weakness. Rather, her bright eyes were full of pleasant surprise.
What??
The Fuzhu froze and suddenly turned back.
Qi Lin emerged from the black hole of wind and rain, his body covered in a bright light that surrounded him like armor.
The Fuzhu was all too familiar with this sensation. Back when Emperor Yao bestowed it with her Divine Energy, that could protect it from the encroachment of any calamity. However, the protection on Qi Lin was far from comparison to Emperor Yao of the Five Emperors. “A Divine King’s Blessing?!” The Fuzhu shouted.
Divine King’s Blessing, an ability wielded by those leaders of the Northern Primordial tribes known as kings. It was able to make the target of the blessing receive a portion of the user’s power and even could form a position of protection. The Fuzhu had heard of this back then, that Emperor Yao called a conference of the lords at Mount Tu and made the Northern Primordial’s chiefs submit to her. Not only did she confer all of the chiefs the title of “king,” she even made them receive this power. Perhaps Emperor Yao of back then merely wanted to console the lords, or perhaps she prayed that they would bless her when she was faced with danger, or perhaps she had some other plan.
Regardless, once the “Divine King’s Blessing” was used, that unmistakably was admission there was a new chief above herself.
“Impossible, how can a cultivator like you receive a Divine King’s Blessing.” The Fuzhu shouted.
Qi Lin was not sure what happened, but he understood that this Divine Energy flowing through his entire body frightened the Fuzhu. Seizing the chance before the Divine Energy entirely dissipated, Qi Lin instantly reacted. He moved his Divine Intent, nocking a Cloud-piercing Arrow on the Heaven-shaking BOw. The bow cried, the arrow flew.
The arrow-light shot towards the Fuzhu.
The Blood Transformation Divine Blade in his hand let out a bloodcurdling shriek. Blood-colored blade-light blossomed and flooded in all directions, spreading throughout Ao’an. That endlessly rolling flood churned under the blade, as if painting an ancient sea of blood. The wind and rain that the Fuzhu controlled were put to the blade’s use.
This moment, the Fuzhu seemed to hear the accusations Northern Primordial’s millions of citizens.
Each voice was filled with pain and anger as they denounced its actions.
This moment, the Fuzhu felt an unprecedented chill.
Emperor Yao’s protection was gone!
“This One is protected by Emperor Yao. Foolish mortal, how can you resist!” The Fuzhu struggled against the blood sea and blade-light.
Qi Lin swung the sword.
Blood Transformation Divine Blade: Nine Provinces Of Bloody Sobs!
The flood-like blade-light knocked the Fuzhu into the middle of the Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded Banners. This elegant man immediately was reverted back to his original appearance, his immaculate body now covered in wounds. The Fuzhu still struggled with all its might, its antlers becoming ever larger like tree branches, increasingly complex as it attempted to break open the formation.
Qi Lin was already without the strength to wield the blade. Using the last of this strength, he operated the Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded Banners to trap this Demon Beast.
The Fuzhu roared at the sky. Its antlers were like a giant tree, their spotlessly white tips emitting a bright glow that illuminated the qi of primal chaos. It was indeed a Demonkin that had existed for eons. Even after sustaining such attacks, it still showed signs of breaking free of the Approaching Heaven magic treasure.
But Qi Lin was not flustered at all because he was not fighting alone.
A figure suddenly shot up and over the formation.
“Demon, what qualifications do you have!!” Qi Qi was in golden armor and a cloak. A divine light seemed to burn around her, incomparably blinding.
The Ruyi Jingu Bang seemed to reach ten thosuand zhang in size. This staff seemingly represented the will of countless mortals as its unstoppable force crushed the authority of the so-called “Zhu God,” showing no reverence for demon, monster, god, immortal, Buddha, or saint alike.
Chaos Rank Destiny.
The Fuzhu had never felt such terrifying power. It suddenly recalled Emperor Yao’s words that day when she conferred upon him her protection.
Back then, that kind woman who aspired to conquer the Northern Primordial could not conceal her love for him. She faintly smiled: “Fuzhu, you control the wind and rain. They say that you are an omen of misfortune, but This Emperor does not believe this. This Emperor hopes you can bring good weather for farming to the Northern Primordial’s lands, to let the people live in peace and prosperity.”
As it recalled the time of Emperor Yao, it was suddenly roused from the despair of the Northern Primordial’s grief.
“Your Servant has betrayed you, Emperor Yao.”1
It faced Qi Qi’s Chaos Rank Destiny.
Thereupon, he lay down and stopped resisting.

- Now, this is quite interesting. It realized that what it was doing was in violation of Emperor Yao’s wishes, which begs the question: why did it try this in the first place? ↩
Damn! Bro messed up and karma is a staff wielding loli m9nkey monster!
But yeah .. bro forgot his prmose….
And…. Are the bad guys trying to revive someone too? Like Emperor Shaohao?
I mean, we’re barely scratching the surface of the conspiracy here, but I think this all ties back to that Demonic Emperor or whatever. Maybe she made certain promises to the Demonkin in order to gain their cooperation for whatever plan she has.
