As expected, Gongyang Tu said: “I originally wanted to summon the four Great Doppelgangers to kill you, but your Great Sage Equal Of Heaven has actually gone to intercept them, to give you a chance to struggle at death’s door.”
“Are these your final words?” Qi Lin asked, unperturbed.
Gongyang Tu smiled despite his anger, his eyes gleaming coldly: “Do you think only your tricks are extraordinary? This Tu’s tricks are beyond your comprehension.”
“Whatever other magic treasures you have, bring them out, so long as you can still use them.” Qi Lin already saw that he was could barely maintain the Chiyou Banner, and there was no chance he could wield an even more powerful magic treasure at all.
Hearing his words, Gongyang Tu suddenly stopped his attacks and arrogantly gazed at Qi Lin.
“This Tu has operated in the Northern Primordial for a hundred years assisting Chiyou. Do you believe This Tu truly is worships Chiyou’s fame as the bloodthirsty God Of War?”
“Isn’t everything you have right now given by Chiyou?” Qi Lin asked back.
“Indeed. The Chiyou Martial Chant is a top-notch power in Primordial World. When we martial artists and cultivators train in it, it can temper the body to a degree that can contend with a Divine Generals. Every martial art in the chant is also sufficient to handle a Divine General without falling to a disadvantage.”
Qi Lin had to admit that if not for his own Yin Yang Fortune Body, assimilating so many Destinies, and his “Dual Modes Seal” being practically perfected, he basically was no match for Gongyang Tu. In just a few moves, he likely would have been defeated.
“You have gone to such painstaking lengths to face Divine Generals, even lurking at Chiyou’s side for a hundred years to gain her trust. Seems you’ve killed many a Divine General…” Qi Lin said. “If you’re doing this to become an Invested Deity, being a cultivator on your own is far from enough.”
“Ha, ha, the next deity This Tu will kill is your Great Sage Equal Of Heaven…”
Gongyang Tu cackled loudly. All of a sudden, he charged forth, launching an assault.
The Chiyou Saber flowed like water, its blood-shadows splitting into another torrent of attacks.
Qi Lin continued to defend. Just at this moment, he heard Gongyang Tu shout: “Liu’er,1 help me kill this man.”
Before he finished speaking, a shadow burst out from Gognyang Tu’s Divine Womb and split into nine, real yet fake, dreamlike and illusory. Qi Lin was in endless astonishment as he noticed a shining Divine Crest appear on Gongyang Tu’s forehead. Then, these nine phantoms fused into the shape of a woman.
Nine blades emerged, all aimed at his head.
A shiver ran through Qi Lin’s heart. As expected.
Gongynag Tu was a Divine Emissary!!
…
The Li Tribe’s four armored warriors hefted their large cauldrons as they dashed along the cliff. Very quickly, they neared within several hundred li of the red clouds. The four armored warriors landed on the ground; they moved like they were flying, their breathing calm, as if they were ice-cold machines.
Gongyang Tu used his thoughts to summon the four Great Chiyou doppelgangers to face Qi Lin. Each doppelganger had the strength to instantly dispatch a Void Return cultivator. If the four Great Chiyou Doppelgangers encircled a target, even Qi Lin’s prospects were poor.
But just at this moment, a thunderclap boomed in the sky. An air-shattering explosion descended towards them.
The four armored warriors each retreated separately, lugging their large cauldrons to a stop.
When the thunder descended, it obstructed their path.
“Stay still for This Old Sun.”
Qi Qi blocked their way forward, the Ruyi Jingu Bang glowing with divine light as she stood awe-inspiring in her golden armor and purple crown.
Nezha followed her on the Wind Fire Wheels. The girl panted, wondering to herself how this monkey was still so fast even when she was using a magic treasure. Nezha did not even see her use the Jin Dou Yun and still was nearly unreachable.
“I know from a glance you four are up to no good. Speak, what are you doing.” Nezha asked.
The four were tight-lipped as they quietly put down their cauldrons.
Nezha thought they were surrendering, but the instant the cauldrons touched the ground, the four warriors acted with perfect coordination, launching a simultaneous assault. The four were like beasts let loose from their cage, extremely overbearing and fierce, carrying an abundance of powerful pressure.
Qi Qi raised the Ruyi Jingu Bang and swung down.
One of the armored warriors extended her arm to block the attack. The Jingu Bang shattered this thick black armor upon impact while the person herself was also knocked back. Astonishingly, she was revealed to be the Chiyou they saw during the conference of lords at Mount Tu.
Qi Qi swung the staff several more times, using Hundred Thousand Celestial Soldiers Break to repel the other three.
When the three were knocked back, they shed their armor in succession, revealing themselves to also be Chiyou.
“Wah, how are there four Chiyou.” Nezha thought she was seeing things. After the four lofty armored warriors removed their armor, they were surprisingly identical, from their heads to their toes.
“Chiyou doppelgangers?!”
The four Chiyou were expressionless. A chilling baleful aura bore down on the whole area, and their eyes stared at the red cloud beyond Qi Qi.
“Big Brother cannot be disturbed right now.” Qi Qi coldly refused to let them advance another step.
At this point, there were no pleasantries to exchange. The four Chiyou were silent as they drew their weapons, all of which were cast from bronze, and they were heavy as a thousand catties.
Qi Qi twirled her staff. She bared her fangs, and her eyes glowed. Raising the Jingu Bang, Qi Qi charged into the middle of the four.
Sun Wukong’s figure appeared repeatedly, leaving a series of afterimages as they clashed back and forth, as if she had manifested four projections to clash with the four Chiyou, “Destined Skill – Doppelganger Art!!”
“Qi Qi, I’ll help you.” Nezha was delighted. She manifested her three heads and six arms, having already been itching for battle. She took up her tri-tipped spear and Huntian Ling, and then she followed QI Qi into battle.
The fight between the four Great Chiyou doppelgangers and Qi Qi and Nezha darkened the skies, shaking all of Mount Tu.
Several hundred bouts passed. One Chiyou suffered a staff blow, yet her brow did not so much as wrinkle. Another Chiyou followed her and fiercely brought down her weapon, its savage power exploding. An evil wind gusted in all directions, attacking Qi Qi from everywhere at once.
These phenomena were all formed from Chiyou’s Divine Energy. Even as a doppelganger, she made Qi Qi and Nezha feel incomparably taxed.
“Careful.”
Realizing this could be a Destined Skill, Nezha hurried shouted a warning.
The fiend qi enveloped Qi Qi, and before she could evade in time, another Chiyou doppelganger broke away from Nezha. Despite being doppelgangers, they each acted with flawless coordination that was the peak of perfection.
Similarly, this was a punch that had the power to crush all things.
Qi Qi was not overwhelmed by this kind of spirit at all. Her cruel gaze was fearless as ever, ready to kill any deity or immortal that should dare cross her. The instant the two attacks converged upon her, Qi Qi suddenly shifted her body with extraordinary speed, but she still spurted two streams of blood. Even with her speed already reaching abnormal levels, she could only barely escape the combined assault from two Chiyou doppelgangers; a gash appeared between her shoulders.
And yet Qi Qi was disinclined to even wrinkle her brow. She completely ignored her injuries and closed the distance on Chiyou. At the moment when Chiyou was unable to sufficiently adopt a defense, the Great Sage Equal Of Heaven roared from her throat and fiercely swung the Jingu Bang.
The next instant, the Ruyi Jingu Bang formed a golden line that seemed to leave the girl’s palm and instantly broke through the limits of speed. The golden light suddenly shot into one of the Chiyou. The second, third, and fourth Chiyou doppelgangers rushed to fill in the gap.
Their actions could not be described as slow, and they were extremely decisive.
Chiyou suddenly unleashed a burst of intense Divine Energy like an explosion. In an instant, it formed a defensive barrier, but the Ruyi Jingu Bang was an Approaching Heaven magic treasure, Sun Wukong’s Destined Divine Weapon. The Divine Energy on the staff far exceeded the power of Chiyou’s doppelganger, and it directly crushed her defensive with power that was even more overwhelming.
The four Chiyou doppelgangers were also incredibly ferocious. Their arms were like iron and copper, directly clashing with the Ruyi Jingu Bang, surprisingly producing sparks from their clanging collisions. The impacts began to warp their arms, but the Chiyou doppelgangers remained fearless and instead pressed on their assault.
“Qi Qi, be careful.”
Nezha’s eyes were dazzled. The four Chiyou had somehow appeared all around Qi Qi, forming an encirclement to suppress Qi Qi.
Qi Qi was unmoved. The golden cudgel soared skyward and swept aside the four Chiyou’s powers with divine might that could quell the Five Lakes and Four Oceans.
Parishuddhi Universe.
In an instant.
The sun and moon went dark, and Heaven and Earth exploded.
…
Blood slowly dripped along Qi Lin’s fingertips, but before they could hit the ground, they were greedily absorbed by the red mist. This blood mist consumed the blood-qi of the injured, making the haze become even more concentrated and dark.
Numerous bloody holes had appeared on Qi Lin’s body already, and the “Qilin Armor” was also failing, showing gaps.
Still, Qi Lin’s breathing was slow and calm as he watched that woman in the fog of blood.
Through the mist, that was indeed a wonderful and beautiful woman’s figure. Each curve had sufficient allure to inform a man of what the word “sexy” truly meant, but there was another reason that Qi Lin was staring so intently.
All Divine Names in Primordial World were female.
“Gongyang Tu is a Divine Emissary. Presumably, you’re his Divine General, then.” Qi Lin found this answer to both be reasonable as well as unexpected.
The woman who launched a fatal strike against Qi Lin upon their first meeting let out an amused laugh. Hers was was especially pure, especially pleasant. If not for being enemies, Qi Lin would have been very happy to continue listening.
“I am his Divine General?” The woman found this description particularly fascinating.
“Can it be that in your eyes, we Divine Generals are meant to serve men?” She disdainfully asked. The blood-mist around Qi Lin became even thicker. He could vaguely see the woman turn to face Gongyang Tu.
Smack.
A resounding slap to a face.
Gongyang Tu was stunned.
Qi Lin was also taken aback.
“Liu’er.”
Smack.
Another slap. This one made blood trickle from the corner of Gognyang Tu’s mouth.
“Gongyang Tu, tell me, should I have struck you or not?”
The woman asked.
“You should.”
Gongyang Tu’s tone no longer had a shred of a man’s dignity, only a deep surrender. Qi Lin shook his head as he tightly pursed his lips, for he could not help but feel disappointed.
“As my Divine Emissary, you are unable to kill even a single God Transformation cultivator. What use are you even?”
“I have failed your expectations, Liu’er.” Gongyang Tu blamed himself.
“In the end, you even made me clean up this sorry mess. You were afraid that Sun Wukong would reach this place, that you would be even less of a match, is that not correct.” The woman evaluated.
Already at the end of his rope, Gongyang Tu at this time could only listen to the woman admonish him.
Yes, everything was as she said.
Gongyang Tu was already in despair. He had exhausted his options to kill Qi Lin, and he could only place his last bit of hope in the fact that no one in the entirety of the Northern Primordial knew he had a Divine General at his side.
All for the sake of taking this man’s life.
He had no choice but to expose this secret that was unknown to even Chiyou.
But it was worth it.
“How can we lurk at Chiyou’s side if you do this.” The woman rebuked.
“It is worth it. If we kill Qi Lin, we will definitely be able to have a place on the Register Of Deities.” Gongyang Tu grit his teeth.
“Hmph.”
A noncommittal smirk.
Then, she turned.
“Now that you know this secret, you should die.”
The woman said to Qi Lin.
“When I was little, a fortuneteller told me I would live to be one hundred.” Qi Lin answered.
“One hundred? This really is a short-life.” The woman responded.
Qi Lin blushed with shame, having forgotten that one hundred years was truly fleeting for cultivators of Primordial World. He fake coughed to cover his embarrassment: “Apologies, but I am still about seventy years away from being one hundred.”
“Oh, so you are saying you will not die today?” The woman said, bemused.
“Good, show me just which is tougher, your life or my saber.”
The blood-mist slowly receded, revealing a small passage.
At the end of it, the woman’s charming figure was gradually revealed as she walked delicately towards him.
As she drew closer and closer, Qi Lin finally could see her face clearly.
