Langxie Canton.

The entryway city to the Ancient Qin empire’s western seaport. This city was considerably prosperous, for it was engaged in economic commerce with many of the Western Primordial’s cities. An enormous Immortality Boat was already docked at the pier. The crowds that came and went busied themselves on the deck. A woman dressed in an ancient long robe moved about like passing thunder and rolling wind, endlessly conducting their freight of goods.

Qi Lin and Qi Qi followed Wang Jian in front of the woman.

“Xu Fu.”

The long-robed woman stopped and faintly smiled: “Wang Jian, you’re here.”

“En, I would like to bring a few people on this trip to the Shaman Spirit Kingdom.” Wang Jian said.

The woman named Xu Fu glanced at Qi Lin and Qi Qi, her gaze skeptical.

“They are siblings, Qi Lin and Qi Qi. We are friends. They would also like to go to the Shaman Spirit Kingdom to purchase some spirit medicines.” Wang Jian calmly introduced them.

Xu Fu teased: “You even made an acquaintance of cultivators, Wang Jian, and a man at that. You really are something.”

“Xu Fu, don’t tease me. This shouldn’t be a problem?” Wang Jian asked.

Xu Fu nodded: “You are the commander of the Immortality Boat for this trip to the Shaman Spirit Kingdom. Since they are people you recommended, there won’t be any problems, of course.” Pausing, the woman then curiously asked: “I heard that when Her Majesty went with the rest of you to attack King Zhou, you encountered the Great Sage Equal Of Heaven?”

“En, I was quite lucky. Elder Sister Li Mu and the rest all sustained heavy injuries, so that is why I am here.” Wang Jian nodded.

“Great Sage Equal Of Heaven Sun Wukong, I never imagined we could see such a Divine Name.” Xu Fu was a bit eager: “I really want to see her.”

Qi Qi twitched her mouth. She was no pet, what was there to see.

Qi Lin cupped his fist: “Many thanks, Lord Xu Fu. My little sister and I will not be nuisances.”

“Don’t mention it.” Xu Fu was very warm.

“I’ll guide you to your cabin.”

With greetings complete, Wang Jian boarded the Immortality Boat with Qi Lin and Qi Qi. Xu Fu took another glance at Qi Lin. She did not really mind, but there was still some curiosity in her heart. How did Wang Jian become acquainted with a man, even one who was only Qi Refinement Ninth Deva.

“Won’t she suspect us?” Qi Lin sensed Xu Fu’s gaze was on him and had lingered quite long.

“No. Xu Fu loves refining pills and medicines. She honestly doesn’t mind other matters too much. Qi Qi, don’t mind her words from a moment ago. She heard that Divine Names all have Immortality Realm, so she was curious.” Wang Jian explained.

“I am not so petty.” Qi Qi did not mind.

The Immortality Boat’s name sounded very impressive, yet its appearance was very plain. The ship was enormous, towering, curved like a crescent moon. The Western Sea was fraught with peril, and this Immortality Boat always required a spellcaster to bless it with a defensive array for protection against the waves before setting sail. This was a considerably troublesome task.

Wang Jian had arranged a first-class cabin for Qi Lin and Qi Qi. This visit to the Shaman Spirit Kingdom was for the Immortality Banquet. She and Xu Fu were the leaders, so there was no need to worry about being exposed. Qi Qi was determined to sleep with Qi Lin, so the two of them shared a room.

After their arrangements were ready, Qi Lin shut the door.

Due to each cabin having a defensive array, the people cultivating within did not need to worry about being disturbed. Qi Lin’s Divine Intent moved, and twelve banners appeared out of thin air. The Ten Thousand Beasts Amulet also floated in the air. The Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded Banner required twelve people simultaneously to control. Furthermore, it needed the magical energy of twelve people to operate. Although one person alone was able to control it, the drain would be extreme, so King Zhou required twelve disciples to manage the banners.

If it was an ordinary cultivator instead, even if they had obtained the Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded Banner, they would feel a bit powerless. Fortunately, Qi Lin cultivated to Nine Yins Nine Yangs. Whether it was his Divine Intent or magical energy, he far exceeded the average person, so he could barely manage. However, for one person alone to control it, they would also need to forge the twelve banners into one.

The Moose Banner hovered in front of him.

Qi Lin decided to start his refining from the weakest banner first. This Moose Banner depicted a moose totem, and its aura was the most calm.

Qi Lin sat crosslegged, releasing the Universe Origin Five Elements Shackles. Then, he used Three Yins Three Yangs, imbuing his Divine Intent into the banner.

His thoughts entered the banner. As if he had entered an illusionary world, the surroundings were a vast white mist.

Because he had refined the Pixiu Banner before, Qi Line knew that there was the True Spirit of a Spirit Beast within the banner. So long as he subdued it, he could slowly refine his will into the banner. However, this time, he did not receive the banner’s inheritance; refining it was a bit troublesome.

Qi Lin walked through the mist. It was gentle, and he could vaguely sense the aura of Shang Yangjun’s refinement.

“Come out.” Qi Lin swept his thoughts around, using the pixiu’s True Spirit.

All of a sudden, the surrounding fog parted. A moose with enormous horns suddenly charged out. Qi Lin caught the moose by the horns, and with a roar, an enormous force erupted. The soles of his feet were like roots under the ground, rendering him immovable.

The moose cried, and the mist swirled, obscuring QI Lin’s vision.

Qi Lin used Weight Of Mount Tai, and a terrible pressure immediately crushed the white fog. The beast screeched, its front legs buckling.

Qi Lin immediately imbed it with his Divine Intent.

Suddenly, the white mist rolled like a storm.

When Qi Lin recovered his mind from the Deer Banner, the sky outside was already dark, and Qi Qi slept beside him. Qi Lin covered her with a blanket and sighed, walking out the door.

“How goes the refinement of your Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded Banner?” A voice suddenly spoke up.

Vermilion Bird Divine General Wang Jian had already been waiting outside the door for a while. Seeing him walk out, she asked him the question.

“Have you been standing guard outside this whole time?”

“En, so as to prevent you from being disturbed.” Wang Jian said.

“The first banner is already done, so there’re eleven left.” Qi Lin was a bit weak; his legs gave way.

Wang Jian cried out in surprise and propped him up. She checked his pulse, which was very faint: “Your current cultivation is still too weak. It’s too much of a strain for True Qi Ninth Deva to refine an Approaching Heaven magic treasure. You should wait until after you form a core, otherwise, you might die from excessive drain.”

“En, I should be preparing to form a core about now.” Qi Lin’s head hurt a bit. He also knew that the refinement would be very straining, after all, for a single person to refine twelve intents into the banners required enormous magical energy support. To completely control the Approaching Heaven magic treasure with Qi Refinement Ninth Deva was honestly not very realistic.

“Rest a moment.” Wang Jian said: “I’ll help get you some energy replenishment medicines.”

“Thanks.”

“Do we need to say thanks between the two of us? The stronger you are, the better for me.” Wang Jian shook her head.

Qi Lin smiled.

“Right, this is a sea map I got from Xu Fu. Check if there’s a route to the Eastern Sea or not and come up with a plan.” Wang Jian recalled her objective and fished out a leather map.

Every year, Xu Fu would sail the Western Sea, searching the islands for medicines. She depicted these experiences on a map and combined them with some ancient records and data. The Western Sea and Eastern Sea were considerably distant, particularly the Western Sea that stretched trillions of li. If there was no specific target or heading, it was very easy to become lost. Once lost, there truly was no way to return.

Qi Lin took the map and slowly researched it in his room.

And discovered a serious problem.

Primordial World’s oceans were far more vast than he had imagined. On this map alone, he could not even see the border of the Western Sea.

“Oh, fuck me.”
