Day two, Tenth Market’s Fallen Soul House
Lady Qi saw Qi Lin return from the outside, a bit of derision in her eyes, for she believed that this boy who appeared to be capable had only turned out to be like the rest, unable to last more than a night. She hid the mockery in her heart while her expression still was polite as she stepped forward: “Fellow, was your sleep last night uncomfortable? Would you like to change rooms.”
“No need.” Qi Lin did not care for her inner thoughts. He looked about the Fallen Soul House, his brow furrowed.
He noticed that that this Fallen Soul House’s fengshui had apparently changed.
Qi Lin did not know what had changed, and he hurried to the heavenly paradise he had rented.
“Qi Qi.”
He pushed the door open and saw an unfamiliar black-skirted woman hugging Qi Qi while they slept. Qi Lin’s noise roused the two of them. The black-skirted young woman’s eyes opened slowly, and her pupils glimmered with the gleam of an abyss. “Big Brother.” Qi QI woke up and happily leapt out from the other girl’s embrace, spreading her arms and diving into Qi Lin’s chest with her arms spread open like a bird returned to the trees

She was the woman who Lady Qi said lived on the top floor.

“Many thanks for the concern, Lady. I went out last night to look for medicine materials and was too late to return.” Qi Lin smiled. “The Lady has a quiet place here. I hope we siblings haven’t disturbed you.”
Li Si pursed her thin lips, “Then Your Servant shall take her leave first. If anything happens, you can seek me out. Little Sister Qi Qi, I will chat with you again next time.”

“I refined some pills that can help us raise the funds to buy a boat to the Eastern Sea.” Qi Lin explained his plan.
“Although soul supplement pills are profitable, the materials are very difficult to find. Master, you spent so much energy to find that Life Lotus Flower.” The white ape was quite wise and farsighted, like an old man.

Surprisingly, she was Yang Jian.
Qi Lin spun around, went to a vendor’s booth, lowered his head, and put on one of the masks on display.

Yang Jian did not notice Qi Lin as she spoke coldly to Wu Gu.
“That the Immortality Banquet can receive True Lord Erlang’s presence is naturally an honor for us. Elder Sister Wu Xian will certainly be ecstatic.”
Wu Gu smiled.
“As for Western Sea God Yan Zi, we must trouble Elder Sister Yang Jian.”
“En, I will pay visits to the other Ten Shamans, to see what they thing about this Immemorial Royal Family Divine Name.” Yang Jian said. “No need to see me out.”
“Safety be with you, Elder Sister.”
Yang Jian left.

Qi Lin changed his hood and explained the purpose of his visit.
The guard inspected him. “Lady Wu Gu has instructed that you follow me.”
Under the guard’s guidance, Qi Lin very quickly reached Wu Gu’s main hall.
“Your Distinguished Self Xiaoyaozi?” The woman sat high upon her throne. She was adorned with a necklace, a yellow jacket, and a silk covering. Her expression still wore the exhaustion from dealing with Yang Jian.
“Greetings to Lady Wu Gu.” Qi Lin bowed.
“Did you bring what I requested?” Wu Gu crossed her legs and flatly asked.
Qi Lin nodded and retrieved a box.
The guard carefully took the box and presented it to Wu Gu.
Wu Gu was not terribly interested in any soul supplement pills that Qi Lin could refine. A young man could not possibly be skilled. What she valued was Qi Lin himself. If she could receive him as a subordinate, his future growth could be limitless. After all, Golden Core Early Stage cultivators in Ten Shamans City able to kill a Blood Lotus Python could be counted on fingers.
Wu Gu did not look at the medicine but set it aside. “I merely wanted to test your sincerity. Not bad, you did not disappoint me.”
Qi Lin smiled: “Lady Wu Gu, will you not look at the pill I refined? I still wish to collaborate with the Lady.”
“Hm?”
Wu Gu frowned and heard the ambition in Qi Lin’s tone.
The woman curiously opened the box, and the Five Flavors Soul Returning Powder appeared before her. “This is…” The woman gasped. The scents of the Five Flavors Soul Returning Powder assailed her nostrils. Just a sniff left her feeling limp, and her organs and pores were extraordinarily comfortable.

Not at all a fan of h9w much Qi Qi is getting sidelined either….
Qi Qi is pretty underutilized at the moment even if it’s done so for the sake of the plot.
