Along the way, Qi Lin looked after Wu Gu’s wounds. The two of them advanced cautiously, so as to avoid encountering more Death Illusion Fragrance Moss. After crossing these woods, the soil became very spongy. In the middle, they encountered several Golden Core Early Stage Demon Beasts. Because the two of them were very exhausted, they had no choice but to circle around. This delay caused them to walk a longer route.

They walked forward for several hours in a daze while the humidity grew more and more intense. Because constant ingestion of pills to replenish True Qi and stamina was very detrimental to cultivation, Qi Lin had no choice but to frequently stop and rest. Under Wu Gu’s direction, a decline finally appeared in the terrain before them. The rainwater on the ground flowed downwards, and looking clearly, an entrance appeared fore the two just past the countless trees.

“The Changliu Pool is just inside. Proceed downwards with caution.” Wu Gu warned.

This type of terrain was a common sight to Qi Lin, and he had already grown accustomed to it; he completely did not need to worry. Entering the entrance of Changliu, the dense rainforest began to thin out as an immense black pond appeared in front of them. A large rainforest enclave in the pool’s center grew short but luxuriant aquatic plants and gnarled limbs, an unfathomable growth.

Wu Gu used the White Jade Boat to ferry Qi Lin over the pool.

All along the way, there was only tension, no danger.

Another hour passed. Qi Lin spotted a very large rock suddenly jut out rom the level pond. Then, the rocks gradually grew in number, linking to form what he discovered to be a wall. However, the wall was half-submerged by the bog. Every piece of stone of the wall was like jade or gold, copper or stone, an indescribable oddity. The reliefs on the stones were delicately patterned and decorated.

The Immemorial Royal Family’s fengshui, reliefs, and talismans were all very famous. Legend said that the Primal Chaos Heavenly Court’s every stone was etched with formidable spellcraft, comparable to a strong magic treasure. After the Primal Chaos Heavenly Court was destroyed, this heavenly court was also lost. Some cultivators stole gold brick to be able to bludgeon Divine Names to death.

Qi Lin had heard legends of the Primal Chaos Heavenly Court back at the tribe, but he never realized what that feeling was. It was only today from this submerged wall that he discovered how formidable the Primal Chaos Heavenly Court from back then was. This was merely a place to offer sacrifices to the White Emperor of the Five Heavenly Emperors, but the scale before his eyes was already beyond any tomb or ruin Qi Lin had ever seen.

“There is a place here with many mind supplement materials. Would you like to go?”

All of a sudden, Wu Gu paused and asked.

“Mind supplement materials?”

“If you head into Changliu, there will be a ravine. We call that place Mind Valley. Many medical materials grow there, particularly the very precious ‘Nine Lives Orchid.'” Wu Gu said. The Nine Lives Orchid was classified as a top-quality ingredient among herbs. Removing one leaf caused a new one to grow. Altogether, nine could sprout in succession, thus, it was called the Nine Lives Orchid.1 Even if the Nine Lives Orchid was not refined into medicine, just ingesting it could strengthen the heart and lungs. One cultivator claimed that after ingesting ninety thousand leaves, his heart had even rapidly recovered after it had been turned to meat paste.

“If we mix the Nine Lives Orchid into medicine, it will save on many ingredients. You can also realize your goal even sooner.” Wu Gu said.

“And obtaining it won’t be so simple, right?” Qi Lin creased his brow.

“En, the Nine Lives Orchid attracts many Demon Beasts, but given your cultivation, you should be able to handle them.”

Qi Lin also knew that he needed enormous amounts of energy to rely on peddling medicine to be able to purchase a boat to go to the Eastern Sea, but following this sequence was too unrealistic. “Fine, let’s go look around for now.”

The pair changed directions and flew towards the Mind Valley.

Qi Lin saw that Wu Gu’s complexion was very pale and weak. He was worried, but the Green Satchel Book magic treasure was not to be shown easily to others. The Green Satchel Book could treat illnesses and refine medicine, which would prove too great an allure for spirit shamans like Wu Gu. Qi Lin did not dare guarantee she would have no designs upon it.

After a while, they spotted a valley in Changliu.

The valley was filled with orchid-shaped flowers. When the wind blew, the skies filled with pollen.

“All of those there are Nine Lives Orchids. Go pick some, I will go look elsewhere.” Wu Gu exhorted: “Be careful.”

“Sure.” Qi Lin looked and spotted several Demon Beasts and Demon Bugs, but this was not surprising.

Qi Lin fully utilized the Heavenly Vertical Earthly Horizontal Escape to move there.

He swept his arm and stored every kind of medicinal ingredient into his bag. When the gully’s Demon Beasts spotted a cultivator, they surprisingly did not attack. Instead, they lowered their heads and ate the medicinal ingredients with even more speed. Qi Lin felt perplexed but as long as the Demon Beasts ignored him, he was disinclined to quarrel with them.

Just when he had gathered the medicinal ingredients, Qi Lin suddenly felt goosebumps.

An enormous sense of danger came from behind. Qi Lin was alarmed. A blue beam of light shot past him and shot into an Armor Ox’s body. This huge Demon Beast that possessed sturdy armor was instantly split in two and turned into sludge.

The other beasts fled one after another while Qi Lin turned his head back to look.

A giant creature that was practically all blue in color charged towards this place. The blue light beam emitted from its forehead was simply an unstoppable blade, directly splitting the earth. Countless Demon Beasts and Bugs fled in panic. The ones unable to escape were cut down by the beam like a hot knife through butter.

What was this Demon Beast?

Qi Lin was stunned. That Demon Beast was already above him. It looked like it had merely flapped its wings, but it had already flown over in an instant. Qi Lin also finally got a good look at this Demon Beast’s appearance.

How captivating was this?

An immense body that was as shimmering and clear as the blue ocean. Its blade-like wings tore apart even the sky, brightening these deathly quiet ruins. This creature’s beauty was practically bewitching. On the center of its rectangular head, there was a jewel seemingly covered in cold qi. The jewel vaguely flickered with the pattern of astral jewels.

Every time the star twinkled, a perfectly straight laser beam was fired.

Wu Gu was also frozen in shock. She had never seen this beautiful Demon Beast. That body that was light as a cloud seemed to be a star suspended in the sky, each glint a calamity.

Fuck, Qi Lin cursed under his breath. This definitely was not an ordinary Demon Beast. Qi Lin was unable to sense any Demon Qi from its body. Instead, there was a kind of exceptional spiritual qi.

Spirit Beast?

A blue laser descended upon Qi Lin. Qi Lin did not want to experience the terror of this beam. From the ending of those Strange Beasts that were torn apart so easily, this Spirit Beast’s beam could easily slay a Golden Core cultivator.

Qi Lin leapt several steps away, using the ruins as platforms to jump up. The Heavenly Vertical Earthly Horizontal Escape allowed him to step on air like he was flying up a set of stairs.

Yet this mysterious Spirit Beast was even more outrageous. Several thousand blue beams fired from her beautiful forehead jewel as she herself soared. It was like a blossoming blaze, becoming a storm of blue lasers.

Each ray of blue light became a Flying Sword.

Just like a cultivator’s sword chant.

Not just like, it simply was. A Spirit Beast capable of mimicking a cultivator’s sword chant, this Demon Beast’s background absolutely was not simple.

“Remnant Of The Void!!”

A rift in space opened in front of Qi Lin, completely swallowing the incoming blue lights.

Wu Gu controlled her magic treasure and chanted.

Qi Lin retreated to her side and asked: “You didn’t tell me there would be such a powerful Demon Beast.”

“She is no Demon Beast.”

“Hm?”

“This is the very mount of White Emperor Shaohao…”

“Fuck!”
