Chen Mo promptly waved his hand: “In front of a verse that you, the Magpie Bridge Immortal, composed, wouldn’t I be humiliating myself.”

“You are so modest.” Qin Weiyu smiled.

“Little Brother, you once lectured about Zen scriptures, and you also shocked everyone at the banquet before. Yu Youwei’s ancient poem was also your composition. Don’t be so modest.” Chen Luan was also considerably eager. “Ancient poem?” This was the first time that Qin Weiyu had heard about this.

Chen Luan excitedly explained the sequence of events to her, and Qin Weiyu’s jaw dropped in surprise. From her perspective, this River On A Spring Night poem was an absolute composition. She was somewhat ashamed of her inferiority.

Chen Mo chuckled, his eyes shiftily looked around. Then, he craftily said: “Weiyu, I wonder if you have heard of a certain ‘Moon Above Yu Tower?'”

“Moon Above Yu Tower?” Qin Weiyu shook her head.

“Since you composed a ‘Dream of Qin Maiden,’ then I shall also compose a ‘Dream of Qin Maiden.’ However, this one is not my own creation. This is one you recited to me in a dream.” Chen Mo pondered.

Chen Luan very bluntly pinched him.

Qin Weiyu slightly smiled, “Is that so? I wonder how the me in this Moon Above Yu Tower dream was like.”

Thus, Chen Mo clearly recited. “The moon hangs above Yu Tower. Watery Heaven reflects autumn clarity’s everything. Autumn clarity’s everything, cool wind and clear dew, jade platform and silver tower. Osmanthus fragrance fills the toad’s cave. The messy bed wants to talk of falling snow. Talk of falling snow, whose flute blows deep in the night.”1

“This indeed is very much like my style.” Qin Weiyu was slightly astonished.

Chen Mo was not lying at all. In truth, this “Moon Above Yu Tower” was another of Qin Guan’s Dream of Qin Maiden. But Qin Weiyu was not aware of this at all. Even if literature Star Generals like her composed very widespread poems, they generally were very difficult to pass along. From Qin Weiyu’s perspective, the “Moon Above Yu Tower” poem she gave to Chen Mo in a dream was full of a kind of a romantic atmosphere. She probably would never forget it in this lifetime.

She sincerely hoped to still be able to bump into this man many, many years into the future.

Qin Weiyu drank her wine and stared at Chen Mo, unable to help but think to herself absentmindedly.

The snowstorm gradually intensified.

After a session of lovemaking, Chen Luan lay limply against Chen Mo’s shoulder, panting softly.

“Is Big Sis a bad woman?” Chen Luan quietly asked.

“Hm?” Chen Mo stroked Chen Luan’s glossy back, not understanding her question.

Chen Luan’s tone carried a bit of shyness: “We’re together like this every night, so you’re unable to properly cultivate Star Energy.” Ever since Chen Mo woke up, the two of them seemed to be stuck together with glue, having sex with each other every night. Each time, Chen Luan was rendered limp and powerless. She did not have the slightest bit of interest in cultivating. She thought only of tightly joining herself with Chen Mo like this, to enjoy each other’s warmth.

Night indeed was the best time to cultivate Star Energy. Chen Mo also felt they were overindulgent in their debauchery, “In the future, I’ll need to find a cultivation method like a lovemaking Zen that allows us to cultivate and have sex at the same time.” Chen Mo pinched Chen Luan’s butt.

Big Sister pinched him back; she did not mean this.

However, while they were on that topic, to actually have such a cultivation method that joined Yin and Yang was not bad.

The two were intimate for awhile, then Chen Mo said: “Big Sis, tomorrow, I want to go seek out Father for Mother’s whereabouts.”

“Are you afraid that Big Sis is fooling you?” Chen Luan joked.

“Sister Luan, don’t misunderstand. My mom is a Star General. I want to know where she went.” Chen Mo smiled.

“She’s a Star General?” Chen Luan exclaimed in astonishment. This meant that Third Mother’s entry into Chang’an Mansion was strange indeed. She remembered her own mother saying that father had brought Third Mother back, but the two of them did not hold any sort of concubine ceremony at all. Furthermore, whenever Father spoke to mother about Third Mother, he merely referred to her as Li’er.

In addition, Chen Luan had thought that Father’s attitude towards Third Mother was very strange, even when she was little.

That was a kind of feeling that contained very deep admiration yet also had a bit of hesitance.

To the Human Sovereign Chen Zhangtian who stood above all of the Great Chong Dynasty’s people, this honestly was too strange.

Chen Mo’s words explained everything.

“Huh, this means that Little Brother is the son of a Star General?” Peril rose in Chen Luan’s heart. The descendant of a Star General, this was too rare.

“Maybe, maybe not.” Chen Mo was not too certain.

“You must be. No wonder you’re so amazing, Little Brother.” Chen Luan said with certainty.

“Where am I amazing.” Chen Mo evilly winked and pinned his big sister below him, bracing her thighs against his shoulders.2

With a soft and bashful moan, there was suddenly a boundless spring scene behind the curtains.

Chen Zhangtian was currently in the back garden, writing calligraphy on a limestone tablet. However, this was different from his other calligraphy. Chen Zhangtian did not use a brush or such at all. Rather, he used a fingernail-like True Qi to carve.

This stone tablet was a several thousand catty limestone slab. It was obtained from an eight kilometer mountain range at the Eastern Sea. It was extremely hard, and some imperial mausoleums were constructed using this stone.

The Human Sovereign wanted to carve bold calligraphy on the slab and was testing the profundity of his magic energy as a cultivator.

“Your mind is distant, self-absorbed!”

These words were etched perfectly into the stone.

“Good words. Father’s words truly are perfect. Your cultivation is even more profound.” A voice of praise came form behind him.

Chen Zhangtian turned his head back. The one who acclaimed his words was none other than Chen Mo.

“Mo’er, how is your recuperation.” Chen Zhangtian smiled and asked.

“Answering to Father. I am already completely recovered. Is Father’s body alright?”

“Father’s body is very healthy.” Chen Zangtian laughed aloud.

Seeing Chen Mo hesitate, Chen Zhangtian smiled: “Did you come this time to ask about your mother?”

“Yes.” Chen Mo was forthright. He already knew that his mother was not really Chen Zhangtian’s concubine, but a Star General instead. As for just what his mother’s identity was, Chen Mo wanted to seek out his father to understand.

Chen Zhangtian had already anticipated this day would come. He beckoned with his hand, hinting to Chen Mo to follow him.

Father and son strolled through the garden. The snowflakes were like little cotton balls. Chen Zhangtian recalled the events back when he first met Chen Mo’s mother, full of the vexation of reminiscence.

That night was also a blend of wind and snow. Chen Zhangtian was wandering the Tail Fire Star Field honing his “Zhangtian Seal.” Back then, it was at the Eastern Sea’s “Cloud Dragon Mountain,” described as the highest peak in the Tail Fire Star Field, that he encountered Chen Mo’s mother, Ruoli.3

At the time, Ruoli bore heavy injures as carried an infant against her bosom.

Chen Zhangtian could not help but feel moved when he saw Chen Mo’s mother.

“Those were a pair of eyes that would not be outmatched even if you gathered all of the stars in Star World’s sky…” Chen Zhangtian often could not help but sink into them whenever he recalled that night’s first glance of her.

Chen Mo’s memories of his mother were a bit hazy, but that pair of light purple eyes were indeed fresh in his mind.

“Did Father know back then that she was a Star General?” Chen Mo asked.

“From my perspective, no Star General could compare to Li’er.” Chen Zhangtian’s gaze was deep.

Chen Mo fake coughed. He never thought that father could be so lovestruck.

However, Chen Zhangtian conducted himself with candidness. He did not take advantage of the situation to force a contract with Chen Mo’s mother at all. For a full year, he took care of her at Cloud Dragon Mountain.

In that year, Chen Zhangtian saw a person more expansive and more unattainable than the heavens themselves.

The lofty blue heavens in his eyes became inferior to that dignity, and it was under this opportunity that the Zhangtian Seal was created. After they descended the mountain, Chen Zhangtian could not help but suggest that Ruoli stay at Chang’an Mansion. Ruoli did not refuse at all, and afterwards, a rumor spread that Ruoli was Chen Zhangtian’s secondary concubine. In truth, from start to finish, the two had never been married. Furthermore, Ruoli paid no heed to this rumor at all. Of course, this was a Star General’s conduct all along.

The haughty type would kill those who started the rumor. The icily arrogant type would make them kneel and beg for forgiveness. Those with slightly better personalities would dismiss this with a laugh. The reason Ruoli never bothered about this was likely because Chen Zhangtian had saved her.

And thus, Chen Zhangtian named him Mo.4

However, after so many years, Chen Zhangtian had always treated Chen Mo’s mother as an honored guest, never daring to step beyond his limits.

“Does Father know where mother went?” Chen Mo asked.

“Probably to the Central Star Fields.” Chen Zhangtian sighed.

Although Chen Mo already expected that he would be unable to obtain Mother’s whereabouts from Father, he was still a bit disappointed by this result.

Chen Zhangtian asked: “Mo’er, what are you preparing to do next? You killed Huan Wen. I fear that we will be unable to sleep peacefully.” The Human Sovereign also discerned the danger backing Huan Wen.

“I’m prepared to soon go to the Inner Star Fields to seek out Mother’s whereabouts.” Chen Mo answered. He would also take the time to search for Auntie and Xiyi; he still remembered to keep his appointment at Mount Hua.

“Good. If you require anything feel free to ask.”

“Son understands.”

At this time, a subordinate dashed into the rear garden in a great panic. “Milord, this is bad.”

“What is the matter that you are so flustered.” Chen Zhangtian wrinkled his brow. Right now, everyone had sworn allegiance to the Great Chong Dynasty. There were practically no threats, so to see his subordinate lose control of himself like this was a bit displeasing.

“A Star General has breached the imperial palace. The Four Great Imperial Guards are unable to resist her.”

Chen Mo and Chen Zhangtian were taken aback. Father and son glanced at one another. “It seems danger has already come.” Chen Mo muttered.

“Mo’er, you stay back for now. Father will meet this Star General. Even the Central Star Fields would never allow a Star General to slaughter the innocent.” Chen Zhangtian ordered.

“Many thanks for Father’s concern, but Son begs your forgiveness for not being able to comply.” Chen Mo smiled, boarded the Nebula Flying Chariot, and raced towards the imperial palace.

Chen Zhangtian helplessly sighed. He shouted to the subordinate: “Assemble the Long Saber Guard and immediately hurry to protect the imperial palace!”

“As you command.”

Imperial city.

Several corps of imperial guards and bodyguards overcrowded the imperial palace. There were also a hundred Thunder Tribulation cultivators controlling sword chants. The tens of thousands of resplendent Flying Swords were dazzling, filling the sky.

A woman whose whole body was covered in a dark red cloak ambled into the palace, ignoring everything around her.

The imperial family’s strongest Four Great Imperial Guards stared at this woman, surprisingly lacking even a bit of courage. They could only shrink back again and again. Those Thunder Tribulation cultivators also seemed to have a knife at their back, not daring to act without thinking.

The woman walked towards the entrance to the main hall. “Northern Mansion Soldier Master” Xie Diaobing currently sat in her wheelchair, staring warmly at her approach. The young lady was absolutely silent, her little hand tightly clenched.

“An intruder has invaded, hurry and defend!”

A general manager of the imperial bodyguards shouted.

The imperial guards finally mustered the courage to draw their blades, but before they could approach, they were sent flying. By the time they landed, these Lesser Thunder Tribulation and Three Flowers Gathered Overhead warriors were gravely injured and incapacitated.

The dozen meters around the woman had formed into a belt of terror that absolutely could not be approached.

“Misty Rain Sword Technique!”

“Zhangtian Seal!”

The two great Human Soverens, Jiangnan Mansion’s Jiang Ruxiu and Chang’an Mansion’s Chen Zhangtian, both attacked, each using their powerful abilities. The woman did not even spare them a glance. The formidable abilities of a Human Sovereign were more insignificant than a speck of dust before the woman, completely unable to shake her imposing manner.

The woman waved her hand, a disdainful movement like she was swatting away a mosquito.

The two Lords’ expressions changed. They immediately sensed a strong pressure squeeze their chests. The boundless magic energy in their bodies crumbled all of a sudden, and they vomited blood.

In the blink of an eye, the woman walked towards Xie Diaobing, stopping thirty meters away. She stood in front of Princess Chang like a Lord of Heaven. The skies of the entire Star Field lost their color in the girl’s eyes.
