Chen Mo wandered through a vast white dreamland. Everything seemed to have vanished.

All of a sudden, the figure of a mother and child appeared in the white fog.

The beautiful lady, whose face was obscured, hugged a young child and quietly told a story: “Lie Yukou1 showcased his archery for Lady Bohun.2 When he nocked his arrow, he was full of arrogance, and full of arrogance was his draw. He fully drew the bowstring. Then, on his elbow, he placed a full cup of water. That is when he started to shoot. The first arrow had only been loosed when the second arrow was immediately shot close behind it, and the third arrow was already nocked on the bowstring. Yet that cup of water on his arm did not move even a bit. Lie Yukou himself stood where he was like a statue, not budging at all.”

“Mo’er, archery skills like Lie Yukou’s cannot be described as amateur, but has such a person actually reached a high level?”

This was Mother’s voice.

Chen Mo suddenly felt warm when he listened to this gentle, familiar voice. He remembered this. This was one of Zhuangzi’s stories that Mother told him when he was little.

This story was about Lie Yukou’s archery.

Back then, he felt that he was able to shoot three arrows in succession without so much as a ripple in the cup of water. A person with this level of skill directly entered the realm of gods.

The child in the lady’s embrace used a clear and adorable voice to answer: “He definitely has, hasn’t he.”

Mother faintly smiled and continued: “Lady Bohun disagreed. She said that Lie Yukou’s was an archery that could only work with deliberation and that it was not an archery that could be without deliberation.”

“It was the archery of an archer, not the archery of a non-archer.”

“Lady Bohun then bade Lie Yukou to go ‘climb a tall mountain, plant your feet on the edge of a hundred ren abyss.’ Lady Bohun faced the abyss and turned around, walking backwards towards the fall, up until the a part of the soles of her feet were beyond the edge. She stood at this place, and Lady Bohun invited Lie Yukou to shoot from here. But at this moment, Lie Yukou could only lay flat on the ground, sweating profusely as he followed.”

“The perfect human may gaze at the blue heavens above or dive into the Yellow Springs, he may wander in all directions, but his spirit does not change.” Mother gave her evaluation: “We must never be overly convinced of our own technique. No one is capable of breaking free of their environment or existence. When we must face poor environments, we must depend on whatever mentality we have developing. When a person’s mind is able to counteract external fear, this person will have become a true hero. If your mind is already thwarted by the environment, you will never succeed in anything.”

The fog suddenly parted, revealing the faces of the woman and child. Chen Mo finally got a good look at them. Mother’s violet eyes were so limpid and full of love.

They also stared back at him, and Mother faintly smiled, her voice fading into the mist.

“The way to attain victory in an actual battle lies not in bravery but in virtue…”

Chen Mo woke. The dreamland disappeared.

His cheek rested on freezing cold grit, but in the distance, there were warping heat waves. A little white fox was currently licking his face, crying like a baby.

Chen Mo did not rise and instead recalled that dream from when he was little just now.

When he was small, the story about Lie Yukou’s archery that Mother told him did not seem to make too much of an impression, but now, when he recalled what happened back then, Chen Mo had been full of arrogance, and his mind was affected.

The perfect human may gaze at the blue heavens above or dive into the Yellow Springs, he may wander in all directions, but his spirit does not change!

Chen Mo mulled over these words. He lifted himself into a sitting position and exercised the Bodhi Soul Technique.

The bodhi bloomed, and the cycle of withering and thriving continued.

Realize life, and you will not be shocked to realize fate. Chen Mo’s mind ascended to a new level. At some point in time, his Fate Realization Realm had already jumped to its peak. Heavenly thunder could erupt at any moment, for he was already nearing the last layer of the three for Greater Thunder Tribulation, “Void Return Realm.”

Chen Mo’s magic energy was already sufficient, but Third Layer Greater Thunder Tribulation’s were all heavenly thunders formed from the mind that they were slow in coming down.

The little white fox continued to shrink into Chen Mo’s chest, for the environment outside was very unbearable for it. Chen Mo stroked its soft fur while he still remembered his mother’s face in his mind.

He even remembered that his mother later told him small stories about how people could reach this situation, but Chen Mo was somewhat unable to recall this clearly.

After meditating, Chen Mo took out the jade pendant.

The Three Worlds Immortal Movement Pendant already split open with one crack. Chen Mo was a bit distressed over it.

The Three Worlds Immortal Movement Pendant was extremely helpful for a Human Immortal’s Immortal Soul Nine Turns, but the jade pendant already had a crack before he even reached this Realm.

However, Wang Meng was honestly too powerful. Chen Mo knew that he basically would have no way to escape her grasp if he did not use the jade pendant.

Regardless, using an escape technique to flee several million li was good. So long as he was still in the Star Field, he feared he was still a bird in a cage.

“I wonder what force would dispatch those black and white Star Generals.” Chen Mo was puzzled. He had only killed Huan Wen, and now he was suffering the pursuit of someone like Wang Meng. There was nothing as unfortunate as this in the world.

After meditating longer, the temperature dropped more and more.

Only then did Chen Mo take notice that he was currently in the middle of an enormous desert, yet the sand beneath him was freezing, colder than ice. As a result of the desert slowly entering night, the temperature decreased more and more. Chen Mo felt a chill.

“When I used the Three Worlds Immortal Movement Pendant, I thought of going to the Cold Ksetra Star Field. Could this place be it?” Chen Mo wrinkled his brow.

He had heard Qin Weiyu say before that the Cold Ksetra Star Field’s Furious Flame Desert’s day and night had temperature extremes on both ends of the spectrum, extremely high in the daytime, extremely low in the night. Even Star Generals could hardly bear it.

Chen Mo’s current objective was to venture to the center of the desert and find the Siming Nine Serenities Flame of that “oasis” to forge the first Black Turtle Flying Sword. If he was able to forge the first of the Without Ultimate Primordial Dual Modes Four Symbols Sword, he would have a better chance at saving his life in the Inner Star Fields.

The little white fox wailed loudly that it was terribly freezing. Chen Mo used his practically pure Yang Star Energy to cover it, and the young white fox finally stopped shivering.

Chen Mo looked at the desert sky. The stars were innumerable, and the moon was like a saucer, a hundred times more spectacular than in the Outer Star Fields. Following the dimming of the sky, the sight of even more celestial bodies appeared in the night, as if the whole sky was transparent enough to gaze at the boundless universe.

In the deep of the night, the temperature grew colder and colder. To Chen Mo, using a bit of Star Energy was already a great burden. Chen Mo guided the Nebula Flying Chariot and found a wind-eroded hill. There were ruined buildings over there.

Chen Mo found a place to shelter from the wind and used the Nine Yang Soul Technique to protect his body. Then, he took out Northern Dipper and cultivated Star Energy.

The Star Energy of the Inner Star Fields was much more abundant compared to the Outer Star Fields. Cultivating for the first time in the Inner Star Fields, Chen Mo sensed a vast Star Energy vigorously fill his entire body. This was far better compared to the last few years’ of cultivation in the Outer Star Fields.

Chen Mo used the Star Manual Of Masters Gan And Shi to greedily absorb the power. Countless starlights twinkled over his whole body. Every pore seemed to become like a star, containing a kind of unprecedented self-confidence.

Only when his body was at its limit did Chen Mo finally stop his breathing technique and begin to refine it.

This refinement lasted the night.

The desert’s scorching twilight scattered past this hill. The sheet of ice condensed on Chen Mo’s skin slowly melted. All of a sudden, several rays of killing intent shot over. Chen Mo opened his eyes and took up Northern Dipper, striking down this killing intent.

When he looked, he could not help but be taken aback.

In the sky before him, there were several cultivators flying on riding swords eyeing him covetously, their several dozen Flying Swords continuously circling about. In addition, there was surprisingly also a densely packed crowd below the the mountain, riding beasts or swords. They were draped in red robes, appearing like a massive army.

“Awake?”

The cultivator who surprise attacked him was shifty-eyed, making a sinister chuckle.

“His reactions are honestly very fast.” Someone else nodded in praise.

“He is actually using this kind of large stick. Don’t tell me he wants to imitate a Star General?”

“Truly naive.”

The crowd gave their assessments about Chen Mo.

Chen Mo used his breathing to sense around. These people’s magic energies were profound and restrained, their powers hidden and concealed. Surprisingly, each and every one of them surpassed Third Layer Greater Thunder Tribulation in strength.

They’re all Human Sovereigns??

Chen Mo raised his brow.

Not only them, but several cultivators down the hill had an immortal’s aura just like Luo Changqing. Evidently, they had reached Immortal Soul Nine Turns level.

“After all this time, we finally found prey. Boss, this trip of ours was kind of a miss, huh.” The shifty-eyed cultivator shouted.

A man riding a two meter tall fiery red lizard slowly said: “Ask him what his background is. If he’s a noble heir or from a sect, take him for ransom.”

“Boss asks who are you?” The cultivator said.

“And who are you people?” Chen Mo asked back.

They roared with laughter, and the shifty-eyed man jeered: “Are you blind? You dare come to the Furious Flame Desert without knowing who we, the ‘Raging Flame Lizards,’ are?”

“So you’re all bandits?” Chen Mo was taken aback.

“No shit. Do we look like good people to you?” The shifty-eyed man disdainfully said.

Chen Mo was speechless. If he let the Great Chong Dynasty’s Human Sovereigns know about this, they would probably die on the spot. There were more than a dozen Human Sovereigns, and they all surprisingly fell to the level of banditry.

“Hurry and tell your name. You’d best have some background, otherwise, heh, heh.” The man did not harbor good intentions.

“Your Servant is Chen Mo, a Scattered Cultivator. This is my first time on these precious grounds, I hope you can forgive me.” Chen Mo politely cupped his fist. After all, the other side had so many in numbers, they were not easy to face.

“Scattered Cultivator? A fucking scattered cultivator dares to come to the Furious Flame Desert?” The shifty-eyed man cursed: “Are you fucking with us?”

“Boss said that we can give a Scattered Cultivator to our brothers as a fucktoy.” One of their compatriots lasciviously laughed.

“I see the brat’s skin is very thick, not bad at all. Don’t mind if I do.” The shifty-eyed man laughed and stepped forward to grab Chen Mo.

He knew that Chen Mo’s cultivation was only Fate Realization Realm and did not bother placing Chen Mo in his gaze. His enormous might bore down, and his Flying Swords became a beast that unleashed cold light.

Chen Mo sneered. He did not fear anyone who was not Wang Meng.

Northern Dipper smashed the opposing Flying Swords, and the powerful sword force was knocked asunder, “Brat, you have a bit of skill.” The shifty-eyed man was stunned. He sensed the pressure coming from Chen Mo. The man spat out a vile, black water. This black water turned into an anaconda that wrapped around the hill.

“Xu Wucai, do you actually need to use your strong ability, ‘Accumulated Corpse Black Water,’ against a Fate Realization Realm cultivator?” One of his comrades mocked him.

The Accumulated Corpse Black Water was overwhelmingly putrid. The man’s other compatriots all stepped back. “Don’t be afraid.” Chen Mo comforted the fox in his chest, somersaulting directly into the black water.

Xu Wucai was delighted. Having entered his corpse water, the boy should have no further thoughts of running.

“Don’t you turn that brat into corpse water, we haven’t had a taste of him yet.” The others warned him.

Xu Wucai snorted, “Relax, I’ll absorb his Essence Qi first then let you guys play with him.”

“Absorb!!” Xu Wucai chanted. His Flying Swords shot into the black water at the same time.

Just at this moment, there was suddenly a tremendous noise. The Accumulated Corpse Black Water erupted, and the Flying Swords were once again knocked away. Xu Wucai’s expression changed: “This is impossible.”

Chen Mo forcefully broke free of the Accumulated Corpse Black Water, swinging his staff down upon Xu Wucai’s head.

The Star Energy on Northern Dipper was robust and strong, like the sun and moon. This swing was not something that Xu Wucai could ward off. “Star Energy…” He screamed. In an instant, he was turned into a meat cake by Northern Dipper.

His comrades in the surroundings that had been watching the show now gawked. They did not dare believe the reality in front of them.

“This brat is a Star Warrior!”

“Be careful.”

The cultivators of the Raging Flame Lizards were suddenly in a fluster. Countless Flying Swords were summoned forth. Their numbers were too great, and Chen Mo prepared to use the Invincible Innate Skill to resist with all his might. Just as a white Star Crest flickered on his forehead, a shout suddenly came from below the hill.

“Sir Lost Marquis is coming, hurry and run!!”

Upon hearing the three words “Sir Lost Marquis,” these arrogant cultivators became frightened out of their wits. They had no interest about Chen Mo as they each turned into escape lights and fled far away.

One hundred bandits very completely vanished in a flash.

Sir Lost Marquis? Is it that terrifying?

Chen Mo looked carefully. A tall figure slowly walked out of the sandstorm. This was no scourge at all. Rather, it was a woman, one as delicate as porcelain.
