In the middle of Siming Lake, Yue Huanqin was currently searching for the Nine Turns Fate Water.

Rumor said that a single drop of dew would fall into the desert from the heavens. Receiving the influence from the Siming Nine Serenities Flame of the adjacent valley’s leyline, over time, some of the lake water would condense into something miraculous, able to increase the speed of advancing to Human Immortal Divine Soul Nine Turns. This Nine Turns Fate Water was simple to obtain, but to extract it required some time.

Other than searching for Nine Turns Fate Water, there were also some cultivators that had come for the Greenscale Dragontooth Eel. This legendary divine eel of the Siming Oasis was able to allow a Human Immortal lay the foundations for Earthly Immortal. Compared to the Nine Turns Fate Water, it was more than a hundred times stronger, but very few people were able to see them.

Yue Huanqin used her Flying Swords to slaughter several of the Demon Beasts in the Siming Lake. She searched for a while and spotted many cultivators fly on their riding swords towards the valley adjacent to Siming Lake.

That place also had a river, but the Siming Nine Serenities Flame existed under it; there was no Nine Turns Fate Water at all. There was not even a shadow of a Demon Beast.

At this time, Lu Yushu also guided his riding sword towards the valley. Yue Huanqin stopped him and asked: “What is the meaning of this?”

“Heh, heh.” Lu Yushu’s eyes were aglow, and he said in excitement: “I heard there are Star Generals fighting over there in Siming Valley. Many people are rushing there.”

“A Star General battle!” Yue Huanqin was taken aback: “Why would Star Generals come to the Siming Oasis?”

Ji Biling coldly said: “They’re mad. For us to interfere in a battle between Star Generals is to court death. Junior Brother Yushu, you had better have the self-awareness to not forget the master’s rules.”

Lu Yushu disapprovingly said: “With so many people, so what if I go look. I do not believe that Star General is capable of killing this many cultivators. Besides, we came out to train. How can we grow if we worry about the master’s rules. Experience like a Star General battle cannot simply be requested. Even a glimpse would be extremely helpful for sword arts. Heh, heh, Senior Sister, if you do not go, then, oh, well.”

“But if someone is lucky enough, they can kill the Star General and consume that bit of power from the Crimson Star. Heh, heh, don’t regret it.”

Saying this, Lu Yushu became an escape light that sped away.

The others from Heaven Beyond Heaven looked at each other in dismay.

In actuality, the master had a strict rule: they absolutely were not to meddle with a Star General’s battle. However, this rule was merely out of consideration for the disciples. A battle between Fiend Stars could fell the heavens and rend the earth. The slightest bit of inattention would bring about disaster. To a Human Immortal, coveting the Star Energy of a Star General was a very stupid action.

But listening to Lu Yushu’s words stirred them slightly.

The Siming Oasis, for better or worse, had more than a hundred cultivators. As Lu Yushu said, with so many cultivators present, even a Star General would need to be cautious. Even if they did not kill her, to witness a Star General Battle was very precious experience. If they could loot the burning house, to obtain Star Energy and become a Star Warrior, then their cultivation path would henceforth bound into the clouds, and they would stand above all others.

“Junior Sister Huanqin, why not let us go look. It is very strange for a Star General to come to the Siming Oasis.” Ji Biling was somewhat tempted.

“En, the Siming Oasis has nothing a Star General would want. Could it be that this place is hiding some treasure?” He Zijin also had an idea.

“Wait until we find the Nine Turns Fate Water, then we can go look. But we need to be careful.” Yue Huanqin said.

“Then let us hurry and find it.”

Thus, after Pang Xuan and Yan’er’s ambush on Milu in the black sandstorm failed, they exited the black sandstorm and left in search of Chen Mo and Milu’s trail. Because they already learned of Chen Mo’s current objective, they directly headed for Siming Valley.

The Siming Oasis was not large at all. It was approximately three hundred li in range, and to Pang Xuan, who was an expert in the art of killing from range, finding them was not challenging. In the sky above the valley, Pang Xuan spotted Milu sitting in the flying chariot.

An arrow-light as thick as a spear whistled out.

Although Milu was staring blankly, she was not stupid. Spotting the incoming arrow-light, she ducked to the side. Pang Xuan’s arrow force was violent and strong, each arrow full of murderous intent. They were much more formidable than Flying Swords, but they were unable to kill Milu in the black sandstorm. In the current spacious environment, Pang Xuan’s consecutive arrows did not pose much of a threat.

Milu continued to use a puzzled expression to spot the direction of the arrows, showing neither anger nor vexation.

This left Pang Xuan and Yan’er at a loss. They did not know just what Star Name Milu was.

“I’ll go kill her, you look for a chance and take it.” Yan’er was somewhat out of patience with Milu’s bewilderment; she felt that she was being underestimated, and fury burned in her heart.

Her Star Name was Earthly Wanjing Star “Thorn Of Turbulent Times” Hou Jing.1  Although she was not a first rate Star Name, she still had a bit of heritage and history in creating chaotic situations. Killing with a single blow was her specialty, but the current target was completely unfazed by her. Whether it was the wounds from before or the suppression right now, she avoided everything, behaving cowardly to the extreme.

Hou Jing soared into the sky and stood face to face with Milu.

“Why do you want to kill me?” Milu furrowed her brow.

“Looks like you aren’t stupid. Why are you still not bringing out your Star Weapon?” Hou Jing chuckled.

Milu shook her head.

The woman’s expression darkened: “Are you looking down on Your Servant?”

Milu blinked, innocent to the point of being moving. How was there even the slightest bit of mockery.

“I am the Thorn Of Turbulent Times Hou Jing, True Name Hou Niaoyan.2 Someone put a bounty on you with the Hunting Heavenly Pavilion.”

“Why?”

“There is no why.”

“Oh.” Milu accepted this answer.

Fuck.

Hou Niaoyan cursed to herself. She had never seen such a dull Star General. “Your Servant has already informed you her True Name. As a gesture of reciprocation, Your Distinguished Self should announce your True Name as well.”

“I am called Milu.” Milu said.

“Hm?”

“Hm.”

“That’s it?” Thorn Of Turbulent Times Hou Niaoyan was taken aback.

Combat between Star Generals had an unwritten rule. When both sides engaged in battle, they would announce their True Names as a sign of respect for the fight. This way, the loser would not die unawares. Of course, there were exceptions. Some Star Generals were fond of announcing after defeating their opponent, or they simply did not honor the battle in the first place.

But judging from Milu’s appearance, she did not seem to be either the former or the latter.

This definitely provoked Hou Jing’s anger. Although her Star Name could not be considered first rate, she had minor renown in the Hunting Heavenly Pavilion. Furthermore, she completed some missions at the Hunting Heavenly Pavilion to even turn her Double Character Star Name to a Single Character Star Name. But just what was this target in front of her?

“Don’t think that I’ll spare you just because you assume an innocent appearance. Die.” Hou Niaoyan sneered. She brought out her Destined Star Weapon, “Mandarin Duck Splitter.”3 The Star Weapon had four shimmering stars. Hou Niaoyan did not hold back at all, leaping forth.

Her nimble body was just like a raptor spreading its wings. She soared above the valley, and the river below let out a heavy roar from her power, surging.

The Mandarin Duck Splitter axe became a hundred specters that descended upon Milu.

She used a Yellow Rank with her first attack.

Broken Wing!!

Two Northern Mansion Soldiers advanced to defend, but they were cut down by the Yellow Rank. Daji burrowed into Milu’s chest in terror and trembled. Milu protected her, extending a hand to block the sharp double-edged axe.

“Courting death.”

Hou Niaoyan’s gaze was cold. She slashed without any mercy.

When two cuts appears on Milu’s arm, Hou Jing was astonished to discover that she had not severed the limb completely. Milu’s Star Energy was more formidable than she had imagined, but to ward off a Star Weapon by physical body alone, this would simply be suicide if she was not a super powerful Star General. Hou Jing did not feel that Milu had this capability.

Swift as lightning, she sliced a few more wounds in succession.

“Hurry and use your Star Weapon.” The more tenaciously Milu resisted, the more impatient Hou Niaoyan became to know her Star Name.

Pang Xuan watched Milu’s trajectory from afar. His Heavenly Pupils Gathering Qi immediately detected a change in her. If Milu truly had something hidden, then he would warn Yan’er when her “qi” became dangerous. But right now, it seemed that Milu’s qi was a light green. She posed no threat at all.

“Could hers really be just a mediocre Star Name? Or is it better to say she hasn’t inherited the Star Name for too long?” Pang Xuan wrinkled his brow. A mediocre Star Name was fine. If she had just inherited her Star Name, then that would be too strange for the Furious Flame Desert, and those Human Immortals should have been capable of killing her.

Pang Xuan stepped onto a Flying Sword. His sword chant formed a protective array around him. He then nocked a golden arrow and pulled his bowstring fully back. He activated his “Concentrated Arrow Blades.” A golden magic energy flowed into his bowstring, combining with the golden arrow.

The battle very quickly attracted the attention of the other cultivators in the Siming Oasis. More and more cultivators were rushing in this direction.

Hou Niaoyan attacked several dozen times in succession, and Milu continuously evaded and blocked using her arms. Hou Jing found that she was surprisingly unable to break past Milu’s defensive line, “Do you want to carry your Star Name to a cowardly Starfall? Then so be it.” The woman was furious. She spread her arms, and the double-headed axe suddenly vanished.

Lines superimposed over Milu’s body like a large net.

At the same time, a golden light shot over from behind her towards Milu in the middle of the net.

Milu had no place to dodge.

Hou Jing angrily attacked.

“Dark Rank: Abandoned Kindness!”

In the water, Chen Mo was currently using the Siming Nine Serenities Flame to forge his Life-cast Flying Swords, the “Four Symbols Black Turtle Swords.” The Siming Nine Serenities Flame was worthy of being called one of the Three Great Water-type Spirit Fires, for it had very quickly melted the seven Black Turtle Star Stones completely.

The Black Turtle Seven Stars became a seemingly black liquid that flowed in the fire, gathering like countless droplets. Chen Mo used his Divine Intent to begin controlling the molten iron. He had already studied the Book Of Casting for a very long time and knew at what times were the best to condense it.

When the molten iron was about to congeal, Chen Mo used his Divine Intent to then split it apart again, making it under go constant separation, mixing, and purification. This process was extremely arduous. Under the Siming Nine Serenities Flame’s high temperatures, Chen Mo’s entire person was about to be evaporated. The Black Turtle True Spirit manifested from his body. If not for already refining the Black Turtle True Spirit, he basically would have no way to last even a second.

Even so, Chen Mo still felt his consciousness grow heavy.

When he mixed the Black Turtle Stones’ molten iron, Chen Mo then placed the already prepared material, the “Black Turtle Armor Sand,” into it and slowly combined them. Countless droplets of molten iron finally condensed into the form of a sword under Chen Mo’s formidable control. Amidst the melted Black Turtle iron, he found a pearl-sized gem.

This was the core of the Black Turtle Seven Stars’ Dipper Stone. In order to forge a complete Four Symbols Sword, each of the Black Turtle Seven Star Stones’ cores would need to be flawlessly embedded inside.

The first signs of the Black Turtle’s vessels were already forming on the sword billet. These vessels were known only to the best casting masters. Fortunately, Chen Mo had long been prepared. His Divine Intent was powerful, and he had the Bodhi Soul Technique. He easily saw its pulse.

Chen Mo felt the sword vessel, finding where the sword-heart was and melted this “Dipper” into it. Then, it underwent another round of tempering and other processes. The first sword billet of the Four Symbols’ “Black Turtle” Flying Swords finally was complete.

After the first, there were still six more. Chen Mo replicated the process, maintaining cautious control. With each sword billet he forged, his experience became even more abundant.

While casting the sixth sword billet, the “encampment,” all of a sudden, an enormous tremor exploded underwater. The Siming Nine Serenities Flame that was in the depths of the leyline also underwent a tumultuous change. Chen Mo controlled the heat to avoid a mistake, and he lifted his head at the same time.

He saw droplets of blood fall into the water.

Not good.

Milu was in danger!

Chen Mo grit his teeth. Casting the Flying Swords needed to be completed in one go. There could be no interruptions whatsoever, otherwise the Black Turtle Seven Stars were unable to become one. Chen Mo increased the speed of his casting. The most important task at hand was to cast the sword billets.

At the same time, the tremors underwater were even more intense. Even more cracks appeared in the underwater mountain from the powerful jolts it suffered.

If Milu truly was Li Guang, then the assassin that accosted them before should be unable to kill Milu. Although he was unable to recognize what Star Name the opponent was, he still sensed the opponent should be Yellow Court Realm Peak at most, based on his prior experience. The famous Li Guang could not possibly be at this Realm. Reassuring himself with these thoughts, Chen Mo used the soul technique to maintain his composure, moving his Divine Intent.

The Gods And Demons Life And Death Wheel surged to the water’s surface.

Author’s Note:

Stuck on how to reveal Milu’s Star Name. It’s also relatively coherent. Finally, there is a berserk.
