Breaking open the two’s pincer attack, Su Xing now held the Devil Suppressing Stele in his left hand while his right clenched the sword as a beauty was upon his chest.
Fortunately, Li Jun and Fan Ming consumed too much energy engaging Yan Qing, and their present battle strength was greatly weakened. Regardless of whether it was speed, power, or body techniques, they did not show the standard a Star General should have. Only with this could Su Xing barely contend against them, otherwise, if he alone went to face two Star Generals in close combat, dying a hundred times would not be enough.

Holy crap! Yan Qing REALLY had it tough… damn. Still, thanks to that, Su Xing isn’t dead yet. The Super Maid needs some love, praise and rest after all this, like FOR REAL!
But shit, outclassed in nearly every way and Su Xing ACTUALLY managed to piss ofc the Chuuni Lord by burning his bugs away. Go Su Xing!
…Still, this fight is practically 3 on 1 now… And, is Yizhen REALLY gonna use her trump card now!?

If this were a shounen manga I could definitely see those two being forced to fight as allies someday and then getting a friendly rivalry type relationship. But well that won’t happen.

Not literally, but figuratively? All the way.
Fights are boring AF. At this point it’s the concept of the novel, the harem and Su Xing itself that are keeping me reading this, lol. I think Su Xing is a good protagonist, I like the Sekirei-inspired plot and I’m always a sucker for polygamy ( the way most harem stories should end, tbh), but the mf fights do be tedious to read, man. Save for a few exceptions, most make it harder to keep reading.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been close to dropping the novel because of them, haha. The other stuff is good, tho. Plot, characters and world are pretty nice.
Personally, it’s the vague imagery that makes the f8ghts seem boring, and ppl’s pack of imagination to fill in the blanks.
I think the fights would be pretty cool if animated.
But, it’s easy to see these fights 8n my head I guess.
I don’t think she will get to use those arrows though, some deus ex machina will arrive
