The Ten Shamans Of Spirit Mountain were following along a remote alleyway of the Earth Sacrifice level. Wu Xian specifically circled around the Corpse Tree’s domain to avoid disturbing this ancient Five Peril.

The Earth Sacrifice level’s fiend qi was extremely heavy. Such a roundabout route wasted a lot of time, but it was the safest plan. In this place where things were sacrificed, the Ten Shamans would walk for a while then stop to use the tortoiseshell to divine the path forward.

This was the Great Shaman Clan’s famous divination ability. They were able to realize fortune and misfortune from the tortoiseshell divination and thus avoid danger. Yang Jian was also very curious about it.

The Corpse Tree’s fiend qi flourished in the Earth Sacrifice level. Evidently, it had already been awakened by invading cultivators, so the Earth Sacrifice level had also become even more dangerous.

“Eh, what is happening?” Wu Xian stopped.

“Elder Sister, what is the matter?” Everyone looked at her astonished expression in confusion.

The tortoiseshell she held was from and adolescent Western Sea “Blackwater Dragon Turtle.” This shell was very rare, able to communicate with all creatures and pry into the primordial. It was the most valuable treasure of the Great Shaman Clan. The cracks in the shell that Wu Xian held were originally of the inauspicious form, but a winding wind suddenly blew from some place. Even more cracks formed, which linked together, surprisingly forming the winding form of a dragon.

“The Azure Dragon winds through the mist, a sage emerges from the dragon cry echoing through the Nine Heavens. Auspicious signs descend from Heaven and grant divine aid, a blessing in disguise this day.”

Wu Xian read, her expression increasingly serious. The other Ten Shamans showed expressions of shock.

Yang Jian did not hear the Great Shaman Clan’s divination and asked what had happened.

“Just now, I had divined an inauspicious form. The cultivators facing the Corpse Tree have all died, without doubt, but this divination suddenly turned from inauspicious to auspicious. The form of the winding Azure Dragon has appeared.” Wu Xian sternly explained word by word.

“Turned from inauspicious to auspicious? Who is so capable as to be able to form something auspicious from the Five Perils?” Yang Jian was more and more curious.

“Elder Sister Yang Jian, now is not the time to be curious. To be able to turn great inauspicious to great auspiciousness, this means there has been a change with the Corpse Tree.” Wu Pan said.

Wu Xian divined again, and shock appeared in her eyes.

“This is bad, there are still variables in this Illusionary Flying Snow subjugation. I fear that the Fog Spirit Sea has drawn in an exceptional Divine Name that has even dispelled the inauspicious form. We must make haste to the Heaven Sacrifice level, otherwise the others will have their way.” Wu Xian said no more. She waved her hand and sprinkled down a green light.

The Ten Shamans immediately followed after her.

“An exceptional Divine Name…” Yang Jian ruminated: “That monkey has come, too, has she…”

“Is your little sister alright?” Su Xuesha’s gaze looked to Qi Lin.

At this moment, in a small hut, Qi Lin was using the Green Satchel Book to heal Qi Qi. The Green Satchel Book’s green light shone upon the Great Sage Equal Of Heaven’s body, mending her wounds, but Qi Qi was still dazed, a bit out of sorts.

“She’s fine, but we’re still trapped in the Earth Sacrifice’s inauspicious form. She also used her Destiny to kill the Corpse Tree just now. For the moment, she is out of commission.” Qi Lin said.

Hearing Qi Qi was alright, Su Xuesha nodded.

Up until now, she still was not sure how they escaped the Corpse Tree’s territory, but if Qi Lin refused to speak, then she would not pry further.

Qi Lin placed Qi Qi on his back. Qi Qi groggily opened her eyes and drowsily said: “Big Brother.”

“Rest, you’ll be better soon.” Qi Lin comforted her.

“En.”

Qi Qi closed her eyes.

“Are you her Emissary?” Su Xuesha said.

Qi Lin grunted. There was no need to conceal the fact from this woman who shared a psychic connection with him.

“Might she be Great Sage Equal Of Heaven Sun Wukong?”

“En, Yang Jian is currently hunting us.”

Although Su Xuesha had already anticipated as much, to hear Qi Lin admit it, she was still hardly able to conceal her astonishment. “Great Sage Equal Of Heaven Sun Wukong. This Divine Name is born of worldly spiritual power. Even a primordial saint would venerate you. I never imagined I could have the honor to see her.”

“In reality, you must be very surprised that she has an Emissary?” Qi Lin was able to clearly see her thinking.

Su Xuesha nodded.

The three followed a trail forward. Because they had entered the Earth Sacrifice’s deepest reaches from the Corpse Tree’s domain, they were faster than the Ten Shamans by many days; there was actually no need to be too worried. Although they had passed the Earth Sacrifice’s indestructible Five Peril Corpse Tree, Qi Lin did not relax his guard at all.

As he advanced, he tried to call awake the young lady’s voice inside his body, but after the Azure Dragon Winding, that voice seemed to have vanished for good.

Not long after, the miasma lifted, and vast stepped fields appeared before Qi Lin’s eyes.

These stepped fields were like chain links, circling around a series of mountain peaks such that they appeared like giant snail shells. Some were like enormous half-open fans, their pleats stacked on one another; others were like a shattered mirror whose fragments were than arranged into multiple layers. In this enormous area, the little roads stretched on and on, snaking freely into the stepped fields, swiftly forming a tendril, and the swirling sacrificial rites in the air above became a hazy mist; those flickering wisps were illuminated by water-light, brushed off to the ruins’ halls by the shadows of clouds, and turned to immortal palaces by by the ethereal.

The stepped fields were everywhere. Just like how they were vast, from valleys with gushing streams, to the peaks wrapped in white clouds, from the periphery of the verdant forests to the front of the precipitous cliffs, the stepped fields were established everywhere there was soil.

They stood five to six li tall and stretched about five to six li wide. Those undulating mountains that towered over the sky were like heaven-supporting pillars, like an enormous abstract painting between Heaven and Earth.

Qi Lin carried Qi Qi on his back through the pathways. Su Xuesha stooped down and plucked a lingzhi mushroom from the ground. It was shaped like the Yin Yang symbol, emitting an ancient spiritual power, with one side very warm and the other very cold.

“This is a Yin Yang Immortal Mushroom.”1

Su Xuesha was astounded.

The Yin Yang Immortal Mushroom was a top quality medicinal ingredient, rumored to grow only in places where Yin and Yang met and joined. Where the two Divine Energies of Yin and Yang soaked into the ground, it would grow. It was rarely seen in Primordial World, and people basically were unable to farm it.

Cultivators that ingested these Yin Yang Immortal Mushrooms could cultivate Yin and Yang Divine Energy.

It was also an important ingredient for the “Dual Modes Divine Pill.”

Qi Lin noticed at once this field was similar to the Taiji, vaguely  forming a Yin Star and Yang Star environment, however, it was man-made after all. This Yin Yang Immortal Mushroom could not compare to those from legend, but it was still considerably valuable.

In this stepped field, Qi Lin found several Yin Yang Immortal Mushrooms.

“It seems this field should be a true spirit field for growing spirit medicines.” Qi Lin surmised. If the White Emperor constructed Changliu to be a pill refinement holy land, then growing materials and refining pills were combined into one. The Earth Sacrifice level from before also had many spirit fields, but they were not so spectacular. Here, he could hardly sense any evil qi.

It was obvious; since the Five Perils Corpse Tree was standing guard, it was only natural this place was very important.

“Seems we are the first to enter this place.” Su Xuesha was in awe. This stepped field still maintained tranquility, as if time had stopped.

“We’d better be careful. There should be some kind of mechanism here.” Qi Lin looked around at these mountains and fields, not daring to be careless. There was not even a trace of delight on his face at having found treasure.

This left Su Xuesha surprised. Any other cultivator would perhaps gone mad just seeing this place.

Even a Divine Name could not possibly be so unmoved.

How could she have known that Qi Lin had just lost the Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded Banner as well as his link to the mysterious girl. His heart was empty; how could he be happy.
