Qi Lin’s soul was inherently intertwined with Su Xuesha because of the jiaozhen, with a telepathy that surpassed those of lovers’. However, this kind of telepathy was quite low-level, the type that only worked within close range. But the hunmang’s electricity made this interchange even more profound.

In an instant, Qi Lin’s mind was blank.

Suddenly, the endless deep sea vanished. Then, an indescribably thick cloud layer appeared before him. Passing through the clouds, a cliff was below, and at the bottom of the cliff was an ocean as black as ink. Although Qi Lin had never seen this ocean before, the deathly color this one gave off was enough to swallow any hope and call forth despair.

Atop the cliff, a scene was occurring that seemed only to appear on television shows.

“Xuesha, enough running. In all the world, there is already no place left for you to seek shelter in.”

Three white shadows forced a young girl to the edge of the cliff.

The group consisted of a beautiful woman and two young men. They were dressed in bright and neat clothes, white robes that were like clouds, and awe-inspiring righteousness emanated from their bodies. Their every movement and gesture seemed to represent the will of Heaven, carrying an irresistible authority, as if their every word was law.

“If you excise your own Star Name right now, then as your mother, I can carve your name into the ancestral hall in honor of your selflessness.” The woman was absolutely beautiful, her features picturesque. Upon closer inspection, she appeared similar to Su Xuesha.

“You claim to be my mother, yet you would have your daughter commit suicide? This is no different from either the demonic cult or the demon himself.”

The young girl who was forced to the end of the road remained frighteningly calm. The dead sea behind her could not diminish her aura.

The three’s expressions slightly changed.

One of the men beside the woman shouted: “Gong Xuesha,1 how can you utter such words to Lady Mother!!”

“Kneel now and admit your wrongdoings. In light of the gifts you offered the Eastern Sea Palace Clan, we will leave your corpse intact.

The woman waved her hand, expressionless, truly cold-blooded: “Xuesha, you have only yourself to blame that you actually inherited such an abnormal Divine Name. As your mother, I have no choice but to place righteousness before family.”

“Divine Name…In the entire Eastern Province, which of the innumerable families would not be overjoyed their child had succeeded a Divine Name. For what reason must I die.” Su Xuesha grit her teeth and asked.

“Your Divine Name…is a variable, a different kind from the Primordial. It absolutely cannot be allowed to exist.”

“Indeed, you can only blame yourself, ‘Outer Void Immortal Sword’ Gong Xuesha, for having peerless talent yet birthing such a Divine Name. This honestly is karma.”

“Your Divine Name is the ‘Purple Rose Star God,’ something that originally did not exist in primal chaos. It is a mark forcibly left on the heavenly way by a Later Heaven cultivator using their own abilities. How can we allow the way of Heaven, the ancestors of the primordial, to be defiled by a vulgar cultivator. Queen Mother Nüwa has already decreed: any who inherit the Star of stars, the Divine Name ‘Su,’ must die. If you do not die, the Gong clan will suffer familial extermination. Xuesha, can you bear that?” The other man also spoke. His tone was warm, but every word he spoke chilled Su Xuesha’s heart even more.

“Gui Zang,2 is that your position as my fiancé?” At last, Su Xuesha coldly showed killing intent and resolution against this man in front of her. Because this man was officially her betrothed, he was known as the First Prince of the Eastern Province, a man who received the favor of Divine Names.

“Hmph, we can continue our fate in the next life.” The man was as calm as water.

“As of this moment, you and I will share no association whatsoever.” Su Xuesha coldly said.

“As you wish.” The man nodded in understanding. The warmth of his gaze made Su Xuesha want to vomit.

“Henceforth, I am no longer surnamed Gong. I am surnamed Su.” Su Xuesha severed all her ties.

“Little Sister Xuesha, why are you  acting so stubborn? Do you truly want to be completely destroyed?”

Su Xuesha said no more. Her eyes were full of resolve.

The girl chanted, and a Divine Crest appeared on her forehead.

One hundred eight divine swords appeared in the air, each one like frost and snow, chilling to the bone. Sword-qi linked with the clouds, forming a fantastical domain.

“The Outer Void Immortal Sword name is indeed not for show. Presumably, Little Sister’s skill can move the Eastern Province. This Purple Rose Star God’s Divine Name is also meritorious. No wonder Little Sister is unwilling to relinquish it.”

“Hmph, it was defiled by the Divine Name that a cultivator trained, after all. Xuesha, you are already impure.” Gui Zang shook his head.

“Xuesha, are you sure you want to die such an unsightly death?” Xuesha’s mother apathetically stared at her; those eyes were colder than ice: “You have one chance to save yourself.”

“Lady Mother, please allow me to address you one last time.” Su Xuesha’s tone was like water. In the face of death, she appeared extremely calm.

“If you want to blame something, you can only blame your Divine Name for being too despicable, a blight upon the heavenly way and primordial. Queen Mother Nüwa does not tolerate you. Since this is the case, This Mother can only give you a swift death.” The woman raised her hand.

Su Xuesha’s elder brother…nay, her former elder brother and her fiancé suddenly raised sharp swords.

Two mysterious divine swords appeared out of thin air and expanded.

“Outer Void Swords, bid them farewell!!”

Su Xuesha shouted.

She began her last battle.

The pair immediately were unable to last.

“Nine Palaces Diagram!!”

The woman had already foreseen this. She flung her hand, and a Nine Palaces Diagram flew forth.

Su Xuesha’s expression changed. The Nine Palaces Diagram was the Gong Clan’s guardian treasure. It appeared that even this would be used for the Gong Clan to thoroughly kill her.

The Nine Palaces Diagram activated, and all of Su Xuesha’s Flying Swords entered the diagram while the girl’s magical energy was immediately drained. The most powerful ability that she cultivated, the “Outer Void Sword Chant” was surprisingly nullified by the Nine Palaces Diagram.

The two men she formerly loved most instantly seized their opportunity. Whatever love they had for her had long been replaced by love for the saint’s Divine Name. The trajectories their Divine Swords left carried mysterious spellcraft.

In truth, from the very first moment she bore this “Divine Name” that originated from the genesis of Primordial World, the girl knew that such a day would arrive.

Was the heavenly way truly intolerant of blemishes?

If so, that could only be because of human will.

Su Xuesha’s heart was like water.

The two swords were about to run through the girl’s body. Gazing at her mother, elder brother, and that backstabbing man, the girl’s leg stepped backwards a bit. Just before the Divine Swords struck her, she threw herself over the cliff.

The others were taken aback, yet they stopped their attack.

They were deeply aware of the background of this Dead Sea. That was a void in which Divine Name’s sunk into oblivion. No matter who fell in, even their soul would be dissolved and vanish from the heavenly way.

The two men immediately recalled their Divine Swords, not wanting their treasures to become her funerary offerings.

Seeing them act so cautiously, the last bit of reluctance in Su Xuesha’s eyes also completely vanished.

The rapidly falling girl suddenly felt there was only one thing she would miss in this world, which was this Divine Name she bore.

This abnormal Divine Name helped her when she was at her lowest point.

“A pity I cannot make you move the Primordial once more.”

In that instant Su Xuesha plunged into the depths, this was the last regret of her life.

“Su Xuesha!!”

Qi Lin was stunned and hastily ran to save her. All of a sudden, the scene warped, space reversed, and images rapidly flashed past his eyes, a series of images that were even more profound, even more secret…Qi Lin’s eyes were dazzled. By the time his vision cleared, he found himself hugging Su Xuesha tightly, as if she was about to disappear.

The girl’s eyes were like ice, but without the cold. On the contrary, they were gentle as snow as they looked back at him.

The surrounding deep sea had already vanished, replaced by dry land. That terrifying hunmang was nowhere to be seen.

“Those were your memories just now…” Qi Lin understood.
