The first thing that Qi Lin saw when he opened his eyes was an enormous silver moon hanging in the sky.

That moon was so close in front of him, so astoundingly large. The soft moonlight poured down and covered the ground like a blanket. Qi Lin’s head ached a bit; an excess of information flooded his mind, and he suddenly recalled the scene from his dream.

Moon Mother.

Changxi.1

Was that a contract?

“Big Brother.” Qi Qi happily leapt over when she saw him wake up.

“I worried you.” Qi Lin stroked Qi Qi’s head.

“Do you realize now how you made her worry?”

An apathetic voice asked.

Qi Lin lifted his gaze and spotted Lu Wu close by. The guardian deity of Western Kunlun stared at him with an expression of incredulity.

“Is Chang safe?” Qi Lin immediately asked. His gaze swept around, yet he was unable to find Chang’s figure. Right, in the immortal lake, White Emperor Shaohao apparently appeared, but now, she was gone without a trace. Then, he saw that the Ninth Divine Gate was already open, as if beckoning him in.

“Brother Qi Lin, I am fine.”

A specter appeared from the side. Moonlight gathered into a beautiful figure, and Chang appeared before Qi Lin.

How to describe the current Chang.

The girl had a flying immortal hairpin and a domineering immortal qi. Silk draped her body of icy skin and jade bones. The Divine Crest in the middle of her forehead was a moon.2 An indistinct silver moon was in the space around the girl, making Chang appear very beautiful.

If it could be said that the old Chang retained the cuteness of a young girl, then after signing their contract, she had become much more mature, full of a motherly warmth.

One kiss had drastically metamorphosized her.

“Chang, you’re so pretty.” Qi Lin was at a loss for words.

“Her Divine Name is ‘Moon Mother’ Changxi. Qi Lin, it goes without saying that your luck is truly incredible.” Lu Wu lowered her gaze and coldly said. Up until now, she did not dare believe the man in front of her would be this lucky.

When Qi Lin went to save Chang, from Lu Wu’s perspective, this man was already digging his own grave. Now only did he renounce the Queen Mother Of The West’s reward, he even wanted to use one of the Ten Great Spirit Medicines to save an insignificant Divine General. But things always took unexpected turns; Lu Wu had guessed the beginning correctly, but she had guessed wrong the ending.

White Emperor Shaohao’s sudden descent had given Qi Lin a helping hand, allowing him to successfully administer the Mother Moon Xianyao to the deceased Chang.

But even if it was ingested, the Mother Moon Xianyao contained concentrated Yin qi, the beginnings of the moon. Only the Southern Divine Emperor’s Record Of One Hundred Herbs contained the details of its refinement process. The average Divine Name would be unable to support such power if she forcibly ingested the Moon Mother Xianyao. Whether it was because Qi Lin’s luck was too great or it was the arrangement of the heavenly way, Chang’s Divine Name was surprisingly “Moon Mother.”

“Moon Mother” Changxi was the supreme being of Yin power. In the past, the Primal Chaos Heavenly Court had the “Twin Consorts Of Sun And Moon.” One controlled the Yang of the Nine Heavens, the other the Yin of the Nine Hells. Countless Divine Generals prostrated themselves at their feet. Moon Mother Xianyao grew by using the “moon,” and for Changxi to use it was only natural; there was no need for any refinement at all. The power of the immortal herb was completely absorbed by Changxi, not only resuscitating her Destiny, she even obtained ten thousand years’ worth of Primordial Yin True Qi. In an instant, she was already at the bottleneck of High Ancient Divine Realm.

Qi Lin did not comment regarding Lu Wu’s mention of luck. In truth, when he first saw Chang bathing under the moonlight, Qi Lin had thought of the scene of Changxi bathing the moon. At that time, he already harbored suspicions.

However, what Qi Lin did not expect was that Chang would sign a contract with him.

“You should have lost even your soul to the immortal lake. Changxi signed an Invested Deity Contract with you to save you, which made you a master and allowed you to escape.” Lu Wu said: “However, for you, this is no cause for celebration at all.”

“Do tell?”

“The previous Changxi was one of Donghuang Taiyi’s Divine Spirits. Her Destiny, ‘Nine Hells Yin,’ was coveted by countless Divine Generals. You had better look out for yourself.”

“Many thanks for the warning Lady Lu Wu, I will keep them safe.” Qi Lin solemnly promised.

“I will keep Big Brother safe.” Qi Qi was not to be outdone. “Wait until This Old Sun retrieves the Jingu Bang, the first person to be beaten is you for having underestimated us.”

“Great Sage Equal Of Heaven Sun Wukong…I never imagined you would also have signed a contract. I am quite eager for this Register Of Deities.”

Lu Wu turned.

Qi Lin grasped Changxi’s hand. Changxi faintly blushed, an extremely adorable shade of pink. “Changxi, thank you for saving me.”

Changxi shook her head and muttered: “I should be thanking Big Brother Qi Lin for not giving up on me.”

“Little Sister Changxi is so cute, how could I bear to see you perish.” Qi Lin joked.

Changxi blushed even more.

Qi Qi harrumphed, a bit upset.

“Master Mother, do not blame Me for being merciless with the flirt.” Lu Wu frowned, displeased.

“Hm?”

Qi Lin saw from her posture that she apparently was to make him enter the Ninth Divine Gate and meet the Queen Mother Of The West.

But did she not say that those who withdrew lost their qualifications?

Lu Wu was not interested in explaining.

Qi Lin saw some hope to receive the Heavenly Ascension Pill. He hurriedly entered the Kunlun Void together with Changxi and QI Qi.

Kunlun Void.

Copper Pot Waterfall.

The rock walls of the pot were glossy and bronze-colored. Water flowed down into the pot, circling and spinning before gushing out from a crevice shaped like a teapot’s spout, pouring into an abyss and forming green pool.  It was just like the timekeeping “copper pot,” and it was also known as the “copper pot water clock.”

Several hundred meters below the copper pot water clock, there was a natural rock stream more than a dozen meters long and one chi wide. Wide at the top and narrow at the bottom, it was shaped like a swimming dragon. When the river was swift, water would spray hundreds of meters into the air like a white dragon soaring through the sky, a magnificent sight, earning it the name “Dragon-swimming Stream.” Beside the stream, a more than 40 meter tall waterfall poured down the cliff like a white ribbon hung upon the cliff face. It also looked like tens of millions of silver pearls strung up, forming a soft, pliable curtain of water droplets.

Below the waterfall, two white-clothed women watched Kunlun’s sun and moon rise and fall from a terrace.

Although the women wore white, one was covered in armor. She had an aura as murderous as a tiger, hair as white as snow. From head to toe, she had a kind of domineering, imposing dignity. In her eyes was a look of extreme intimidation. The other wore a magnificent white dress. THe skirt was like a flowing water dragon, a stark contrast to that icy majesty. Her every gesture and movement were like that of an extraordinary arhat.

The woman’s indifferent gaze was imposing enough to make people prostrate themselves in worship.

These two women were the pinnacle existences of Primordial World today.

“White Emperor” Shaohao and “Jade Lake Holy Ancestor” Queen Mother Of The West.

“Shaohao, This One did not expect that you, the grand White Emperor, would save a man.” The Queen Mother Of The West stared calmly into the far-off sea of stars.

“This man has contracted with two Divine Generals. Perhaps in the future he could aid This Emperor in facing the Divine Names of the Three Doctrines.” Shaohao’s tone was ice-cold.

“This One did not expect you to still be alive, Shaohao. The Immemorial Royal Family is truly unfathomable.

Shaohao did not want to explain her art of life and death. The woman stroked the Illusionary Flying Snow’s wings and slowly said: “Staying in this corner of the Western Sea’s periphery Western Kunlun is pitiful.”

“This One will not interfere with your favors and grudges, you need not mention them again. The current Five Sages are far more powerful than the old Five Emperors. Even if all of you Five Emperors are still alive together, you would be no match.” The Queen Mother Of The West paced about and walked into the Dragon-swimming Stream. The waters parted, not daring to wet her body as she danced gracefully.

“Very well.”

Shaohao spat out two ice-cold words.

The Queen Mother Of The West faintly sighed.

“This One is very happy that you came to see your old friend. Back then, This One was connected to your Primal Chaos Heavenly Court. This One ought to be hospitable. It just so happens that the Jade Lake Peach Tree has several peaches of immortality that have ripened after nine thousand years. This One shall give them to you.”

The nine thousand year old Jade Lake Immortality Peaches were sufficient to make even Immemorial Divine Realm Divine Generals flock over madly, but to the White Emperor, these were far from sufficient.

Seeing Shaohao’s frown, the Queen Mother Of The West flatly said: “This One is convening an Immortality Peach Banquet. There are not many nine thousand year old peaches at all. If you want more, you may come to the banquet, where you may take all that you wish, so long as you can eat them.”

“Will the Three Doctrines Divine Names attend?” The White Emperor asked/

“More or less.”

“Good.”

The White Emperor made no further requests. She was in a hurry to recover her strength to a level where she could contend against a saint, and the nine thousand year Immortality Peaches were better than nothing. Of course, she did not place her hopes of recovery on a few Immortality Peaches.

“You should invite that man to the banquet.” Shaohao pointed to the young man who entered the Kunlun Void.

The Queen Mother Of The West faintly smiled.

The White Emperor turned and rode the Illusionary Flying Snow away from this place.

Qi Lin heard the Illusionary Flying Snow’s whinny. Recalling that scene back in Changliu, he greeted the Illusionary Flying Snow. He had spent so much effort to come to Western Kunlun, yet he never imagined that the White Emperor could come here as she pleased. Furthermore, the so-called Nine Divine Gates’ rules were utterly useless against her.

As their Realms were different, so too were their goals.

Staring at the high up Queen Mother Of The West, Qi Lin suddenly was very eager to become even stronger.

“Master Mother.”

Lu Wu arrived at the Kunlun Palace and knelt in greeting.

Qi Lin and the others followed her.

The Queen Mother Of The West’s countenance was concealed in holy white light such that Qi Lin could not see clearly, nor did he dare stare directly. This lasted up until the Queen Mother Of The West allowed them to rise, and then she walked out from the white light.

The moment he saw the Queen Mother Of The West’s face, Qi Lin gasped.

Her beauty was out of this world.

Her atmosphere, warmth, and benevolence made Qi Lin feel ashamed of the distracting thoughts within his mind.

“There is no mistake in wanting to become strong.”

The Queen Mother Of The West faintly smiled.

Qi Lin realized his thoughts had been seen through. Fortunately, he remained composed and calmly met the woman’s gaze.

“That thou could cross the Nine Divine Gates and meet This One with a sincere heart is gratifying to This One. An elixir of eternal youth or a six thousand year Immortality Peach, which would thou like.” The Queen Mother Of The West asked.

The elixir of eternal youth could grant eternal youth, an indestructible Primordial Spirit, and a lifespan of five millennia. The six thousand year old Immortality Peach was also able to grant flight as well as a direct shot into God Transformation Six Paths Realm. The two could be described as treasures that allowed one to reach Heaven in a single bound, an enticement no cultivator could refuse.

“Your Servant wants the Heavenly Ascension Pill.” Qi Lin was very interested in the Immortality Peach and eternal youth elixir, but he did not forget his present objective.

“Heavenly Ascension Pill?” Lu Wu was taken aback. Although this Heavenly Ascension Pill could allow one to traverse billions of li in an instant, to breach the barrier of the Three World, it was not helpful at all for cultivation. At most, it was a treasure for escape. Did this man go through all manner of peril for the sake of a single escape pill?

“Thou are very considerate of your little sister.” The Queen Mother Of The West knew his thinking at a glance.

“Many thanks, Queen Mother, for obliging Your Servant.”

“As thou wish.”

The Queen Mother Of The West waved her hand.

A pill suddenly appeared in Qi Lin’s palm. He carefully accepted it and expressed thanks once more.

“Thou art the first cultivator in a century to have crossed the Nine Divine Gates. This One would like to invite all of thee to attend the Immortality Peach Banquet. Art thou willing?” The Queen Mother Of The West smiled.

“The Immortality Peach Divine Banquet.”

Qi Lin was shocked.
