An unusually strong downpour fell furiously over the land, fiercer than before. If the formation had been broken, this phenomenon absolutely would not have occurred. Qi Lin knew that what he had worried most about had come to pass – there had been a mishap in the extermination of the High Ancient Eight Demons.
But compared to the failure of the flood control, the appearance of the mysterious woman just now was what gave him greater cause for concern.
This mysterious woman’s Realm was inconceivable. Divine Names had six major Realms, “True Ancient, Middle Ancient, High Ancient, Immemorial, Antiquity, and Primogenitor,” but her Realm far exceeded Antiquity Realm. If not for the five divine lights, he and Qi Qi would have suffered misfortune today.
Qi Lin pensively stared at the unconscious Lü Dongbin and Bai Ze. At this time, a curious Qi Qi had already picked up that flying dagger that the mysterious woman dropped.
This flying dagger had mysterious patterns that Qi Qi could not make sense of, but she did not sense it to be particularly powerful. Her big brother’s worry alarm just no left her very perplexed. “Big Brother, this flying dagger can’t be very powerful, right?”
Lingmeng the peacock flew out from who knew where, landed on Qi Lin’s shoulder, and began to elegantly preen itself. Qi Lin stroked her back, and her eyes gleamed.
“This is the Immortal-slaying Flying Dagger. Once it appears, a Divine Name is bound to die.” Qi Lin said.
“Really?” Qi Qi was not very convinced.
However, this Immortal-slaying Flying Dagger was not complete, for that gourd was the dagger’s true essence. Qi Lin used his fingertip to assess the blade’s edge. The Immortal-slaying Flying Dagger’s intent had already been wiped clean by the five divine lights; he could very easily refine it. Although he lacked the gourd, it was refined by the mysterious woman using powerful Divine Energy such that even the average Approaching Heaven magic treasure was not inferior.
“Qi Qi, let’s hurry back, see just what the situation is.”
“Okay.”
…
“Five-colored Divine Lights…”
The red-robed woman shuttled through void space. She stared at the gourd in her palm, her magic treasure known as the “Immortal-slaying Flying Dagger,” which was specially refined for the Register Of Deities. Against the world’s Divine Names, once it struck the Niwan Palace, the treasure would instantly take the Divine General’s life. There were very few people in Primordial World that could block it, and those five-colored divine lights were among the few things that could.
“Five-colored Divine Lights” was the ability of Kong Xuan, once known as Primordial World’s number one beauty. It was said that when primordial chaos first began, it was refined from the Five Elements, and that it was comparable to Heaven, Earth, Dark, and Yellow. Any treasures weaker than a holy treasure would not withstand it. She did not imagine her own Immortal-slaying Flying Dagger would also be unable to resist it.
“How would Kong Xuan be connected to the Great Sage Equal Of Heaven, could there be some secret?” The woman thought. She could not figure out why she would encounter the Five-colored Divine Lights in these wildlands.
Kong Xuan was one of Primordial World’s Ten Ancestors, but recently, it was said that she was targeted by the Zhunti Daoren and Maitreya of the Western Sect.1 Apparently, they wanted to invite her to join the Western Sect as a supreme. The woman’s emperor’s grand plan was currently underway, so she absolutely could not become involved with Kong Xuan or the western religions.
“Pity I could not kill Lü Dongbin.” She clicked her tongue, a bit regretful she was unable to kill the disciple that Grand Supreme Laozi was proud of.
If she was able to kill and obtain her destiny, then she would have been one step closer to her goal in this Register Of Deities.
“Someday, I will have to refine another Flying Dagger.” The woman slightly frowned and stored away the gourd.
As she pondered, the scenery changed. The red-robed woman had already arrived at a valley in the Northern Primordial.
As far as the eye could see, rivers endlessly drained into the center from every direction like dragons and beasts. The floodwaters surged and roared, the torrential downpours rolling all around, becoming ribbons of water that danced and fluttered.
Slowly, these water ribbons fell into the valley’s river, forming a stairway. The surface of the water parted, revealing a cave. The stairway lead up, and a woman gracefully walked out from the glittering radiance of the water.
This woman’s figure was extremely slender and graceful, like a soft ribbon dancing in the water, very buxom and curvaceous.
Her blue hair draped over her shoulders and fell to her ankles. Each strand was like a river, becoming a clear waterfall halfway through.
The silk clothes she wore were clearer than water, more transparent than a lake, indistinct.
The moment she walked out, the valley’s storm immediately all returned to her palm.
To her, controlling the storm was nothing special.
“Not bad, the ritual was very successful. Presumably, you already received the power of the Primordial Chaos Water God.” A satisfied grin flickered past the red-robed woman’s lips. “Gonggong!”2
“Primordial Chaos Water God” Gonggong’s expression was absolutely calm. She toyed with the Northern Primordial’s storms, and the valley’s water followed her will, manifesting into the shapes of every kind of beast.
“The power was already obtained. With just another half year, This God can step into Antiquity Realm.”
“Very good.” The red-robed woman nodded. “If you can enter Antiquity Realm, there will be a greater chance of success in helping My emperor in this Register Of Deities.”
“Of course, with This God Gonggong assisting Her Majesty, we must root out the Three Doctrines and restore the glory of the Immemorial Royal Family.” Gonggong was arrogant and matter-of-fact in her manner.
“However This God finds…that the power obtained is not at all perfect…Was there some mishap?” Gonggong then asked.
The red-robed woman disapprovingly smiled: “In short, a few insects vainly attempted to stop My emperor’s plan, but My emperor’s name far surpasses the sages. The Northern Primordial’s Divine Names were too late even with the outside aid they had enlisted. No need to worry.”
“Is that so. This God heard that Xuanyuanshi and Chiyou recently vie to be queen of the Northern Primordial. This God shall go play with the Immemorial Divine Energy obtained.”
The woman frowned: “My emperor requires the assistance of the ‘New Five Emperors.’ Back then, that Xuanyuanshi discussed the ways of astronomy and geography with Yao and Shun. Her Realm is unfathomable, too, not inferior to the late Five Emperors. You had best not cause trouble.”
“Xuanyuanshi is this powerful. Why not let her join the emperor’s ranks, restore the Immemorial Royal Family together?” Gonggong asked.
The red-robed woman pursed her lips.
“Xuanyuanshi is proud and arrogant. She still broods over the events from back then and will not submit to others.”
“Will not submit?” Gonggong sneered. She was very disdainful of such honor. One had no choice but to submit in the face of enormous power. Unless she obtained the power of the Immemorial Water God, she perhaps would also need to fear Xuanyuanshi. However, with the ritual having succeeded, she insisted on trying.
There were three thousand Divine Names, and she did not believe they would have true arrogance before being destroyed.
“I am afraid that Kong Xuan is also here in the Northern Primordial. I sill need to go assist My emperor with completing her new ritual. You had best not be impulsive and ruin our great plan.” The woman informed her with a tone that was very strict.
Upon mentioning Kong Xuan’s name, Gonggong’s pupils slightly contracted, and she showed envy.
Kong Xuan of the Primal Chaos period was known to be the number one beauty in Primordial World, a Divine Name that was below only a sage. Regardless of man or woman, any who saw her would fall head over heels. She cultivated Five-colored Divine Lights that were refined from the qi of the Five Elements that evolved out of the Heaven Earth Dark Yellow. They were capable of sweeping away all things of the Five Elements, and her tricks exceptional.
“This God will take note.” Although Gonggong was arrogant indeed, she did not dare be rash. She waved her hand and dispelled the storm in the valley. The floodwaters shot into the sky, forming a giant dragon that took the woman far away instantly.
The red-robed woman wanted to say something but hesitated. Originally, she wanted to mention that about that Divine Emissary known as Qi Lin, but she dismissed the thought.
However, a new God Transformation cultivator could not possibly defy Gonggong.
“Kong Xuan…” The woman muttered to herself, her eyes gleaming with a scheming light: “If I cannot take you, then I will have the sage take you.”
Half a month later.
Northern Primordial, Mount Quan.
A bonfire in the cave offered a bit of warmth, yet the storm outside the cave was still a downpour, as if to overwhelm Mount Quan. The ritual had failed, but the torrential storm still showed no signs of weakening. If this continued, the Eight Desolates would soon become an ocean.
Qi Lin frowned and carefully scrutinized this flood’s particulars. Just what was that woman, who possessed the Immortal-slaying Flying Dagger and a Realm surpassing Antiquity, planning to achieve with this? If it was merely to submerge the Eight Desolates, this was completely unnecessary. What benefit could such a flood bring to a Divine Name.
But if perhaps this disaster was not the end game…Qi Lin had a premonition. This flood would bring even greater trouble to the Northern Primordial’s Shaman Clan.
“Did you save Qingxuan?”
A cold voice interrupted Qi Lin’s thoughts.
Qi Lin stowed away his ponderings and turned his gaze. Lü Dongbin was already awake, her expression haggard. She tied up her disheveled hair as she glared at Qi Lin.
“Relax, I didn’t do anything to you while you were unconscious.” Qi Lin shrugged.
“I know.” If they had signed a contract, Lü Qingxuan would have sensed it. Furthermore, given her Realm and Divine Energy, even under that kind of situation, let alone God Transformation Six Paths, even a Void Return Five Elements could not possibly do anything to her.
“How did you save me?” This was what Lü Dongbin was most concerned about.
She was chased by a Divine Name in possession of the Earlier Heaven holy treasure Primal Chaos Bell. Perhaps it was only by personal intervention by her own teacher Laozi that they could survive; she would not believe that a God Transformation cultivator could save her.
“If I said she suddenly did not want to kill you, would you believe me?” Qi Lin saw through her. He did not want to mention about the Five-colored Divine Lights, leaving it up to her whether or not she believed him.
Lü Qingxuan was not very satisfied with this answer, but she seemed unable to find other explanations.
“Just what happened? Why were you and Bai Ze being pursued?” Qi Lin asked.
Lü Qingxuan glanced at the still unconscious Bai Ze, “She may have ruined the enemy’s plans. This Girl was passing by and saw the injustice…And got caught in the crossfire…”
What a bystander caught in the crossfire.
Qi Lin speechlessly stared at her.
Having waited for this moment, Qi Qi returned from the outside. The girl carried a large Fierce Beast over her shoulder, its entire body hideously bruised. She threw the Fierce Beast onto the ground and stared at Lü Qingxuan, her gaze more ferocious than any Fierce Beast’s.
“Hm?”
Lü Dongbin was taken aback.
Qi Lin refined the Demon Core of the beast that Qi Qi had hunted and said: “What are you preparing to do next? Recuperate here or go back to wherever you came from?”
Lü Dongbin recollected herself and smiled, which was quite coquettish: “Since Your Distinguished Self saved This Girl, I will repay your great kindness with my body, of course.”
“To be able to have escaped from that woman with Bai Ze, Your Servant cannot enjoy such repayment, given your Realm and status.” Qi Lin chuckled.
“This Girl’s body is seriously wounded right now, so I will certainly rely on the Young Lord.” Qingxuan shot him a flirtatious look.
Qi Qi was annoyed to see this. She wanted to grab the Jingu Bang and beat this seductive vixen to death.
“Alright, stick around me for the time being, but I don’t dare guarantee your safety.” Qi Lin refined the Demon Core and waved his hand.
Only then did Qingxuan notice a white peacock napping amidst the stones and grass.
This peacock heard his summons. It slowly preened itself before finally flying onto Qi Lin’s shoulder.
“This peacock is truly beautiful.” Lü Dongbin could not help but want pet Lingmeng, but her hand was swatted away by Lingmeng’s tail.
“Lingmeng isn’t used to strangers touching her.”
“Lingmeng? Hm…” Qingxuan blinked. This named seemed a bit familiar.
“I’m going back for now to Mount Tu to ask Wenming and the others what went wrong in these flood controls.” Qi Lin said to her. “Lady…”
“Since This Girl was saved, the Young Lord can know my True Name…Qingxuan.” Lü Qingxuan seductively smiled.
Qi Lin nodded, unmoved by her True Name.
The group boarded the Wind And Rain Boat, then set forth towards Mount Tu.

I don’t blame Qi Qi for being mad since she’s the reason they almost died… And that flirting ssa.gov, wh8chvI usually don’t mind, had real bad timing. But yeah… WHICH NPC MESSED UP!?
I am glad Bai Ze is okay tho
I mean, the entire point of Qingxuan’s gambit was to hope Qi Qi could take care of it. Fortunately, red-robed woman lost interest once she noticed her plan was advancing anyways.
Oka6, but my po8nt stands. I get wh6 Qi Qi was pissed and that gambit could’ve gone sideways REAL FAST
