After the meeting of the lords at Mount Tu.
Xuanyuanshi proclaimed herself “Yellow Emperor Xuanyuan” and desired to unite the Northern Primordial, yet she issued a challenge for combat towards the Northern Primordial’s tribes. Chiyou also gathered an army to march into Zhuolu. Both armies faced each other and were on the verge of clashing.
But the floods were overwhelming. All creatures in the Northern Primordial were fleeing to Zhuolu, and some of the tribes also decided to submit to Yellow Emperor Xuanyuan while the tribes that faced Chiyou likewise chose to throw their lot in with her. The Northern Primordial’s situation had never been so clear-cut. Although countless people complained endlessly about the war between Yellow Emperor Xuanyuan and Chiyou, this did not temper the resolve either had to fight for the crown as Zhuolu’s queen.
Among these, the attitude of Yu The Great’s Ji Tribe was also particularly significant. As one of the Three Great Tribes, the Ji’s tribes allegiance to either one or the other could change the outcome of the entire war. Especially after Qi Lin slayed the Fuzhu, because of his unique status and the Divine King’s Blessing, his renown in the Northern Primordial overshadowed Yu The Great, Yellow Emperor Xuanyuan, Chiyou, and all the other chiefs.
The Ji Tribe maintained its silence. Yu The Great would only relocate her tribesmen to Zhuolu, paying no mind to the two factions while Yellow Emperor Xuanyuan and Chiyou also tacitly ignored her.
Ji Tribe, inside a certain house.
The Green Satchel Book flipped open in midair, its green light sprinkling over Bai Ze’s body. The girl’s snow-white skin glowed with vitality under the book’s green light, and slowly, the girl’s complexion regained color.
Qi Lin used the Green Satchel Book to heal her, his forehead dripping with sweat that Changxi gently wiped away as she sat beside him. After a while, Qi Lin stowed the Green Satchel Book, and the green light inside the room receded without a trace. Changxi also activated her Yin Moonlight to mend Bai Ze’s wounds.
Moon Mother’s “Yin Moonlight” was a supreme holy medicine for Primordial World’s Star Names. Whether it was for healing or increasing Realm, it was enormously beneficial for both.
Under their combined healing, Bai Ze’s wounds were at last mostly mended.
Bai Wanfang opened her eyes and thanked them.
“This magic treasure is interesting.” Lü Dongbin was full of intrigue for the Green Satchel Book.
“Lady Wanfang, Your Servant wishes to ask a favor of you.” Qi Lin cupped his fist and sincerely made an entreaty.
“Young Lord saved Wanfang’s life. Please speak, Young Lord.” Bai Wanfang timidly answered.
Qi Lin first sighed: “Your Servant is ashamed to admit that I failed Lady Wanfang’s painstaking efforts. A mishap occurred in exterminating the High Ancient Demonkin, and we have failed.”
Bai Wanfang grunted; how could she not know.
“Young Lord, you wish to ask if there are any other ways to control the floods?”
“Yes.”
On this point, even Bai Ze, who knew astronomy and geography, was vexed. As far as she knew, there was already no way to dispel the completed flood formation created from the Eight Demons’ combined efforts. They could only wait until the magical energy was exhausted before they could end it.
The atmosphere fell into silence.
Lü Qingxuan grabbed an apple off the table and took a crisp bite. Her chewing noises sounded particularly grating in the silent room.
“Is this not simply the ‘Eight Directions Primordial Chaos Flood Formation,’ what about it cannot be dispelled.” Lü Qingxuan licked her lips, speaking nonchalantly.
The Pure Yang Sword Immortal’s words once again ignited Qi Lin’s hopes.
“Lady Qingxuan, are you saying we can still quell the floods?”
“Qingxuan is not sure about quelling the floods, but this array can still be broken.” Lü Qingxuan was not to be underestimated. Having cultivated for ten thousand years with Grand Supreme Laozi, her skills could not be described as exceptional, but she was very confident in her knowledge of arrays and medicine.
“The Eight Directions Primordial Chaos Flood Formation? Qingxuan, you know this array’s background?” Changxi asked.
“Of course. It is a formation from the Yellow River Map and Luoshu Square.” Lü Qingxuan nodded.
“This is from the Yellow River Map and Luoshu Square?” Changxi was astonished.
The Yellow River Map and Luoshu Square were Fu Xi’s treasures, documenting every kind of formation involving “metal, wood, water, fire, earth, sun, moon, and stars.” These formations were incomparably profound, unique, and powerful, able to illuminate the mysteries of the heavenly way; they were among Primordial World’s Seven Great Earlier Heaven Holy Treasures.
“Don’t tell me the mastermind behind the scenes is Fu Xi?”
Everyone gasped.
“Impossible.” Lü Qingxuan waved her hand: “The Yellow River Map and Luoshu Square are treasures that protect the Central Plains Divine Kingdom. If there was any activity, they would have already known. As magic treasures that secure the fortune of the Divine Kingdom, how could they be used so recklessly.”
“Then…”
“These are probably missing pages.” Back during the chaos of the Heavenly Court, many pages of the Yellow River Map and Luoshu Square went missing. A great number of formations disseminated through Primordial World, and these lost pages gave many cultivator sects inspiration and comprehension, creating a multitude of similar abilities and formations. For example, these included the famous “Bagua” and “Dual Modes.”
“What other uses does this formation have besides inducing floods.” Qi Lin asked.
“The Eight Directions Primordial Chaos Flood Formation gathers waters from all directions to develop the magical energy of the Immemorial Water God. Other than trapping people, it seems to also be capable of refining their Divine Energy. However, it is honestly quite significant that High Ancient Demons were used to activate this formation. This is the first time Qingxuan has ever seen this.” Lü Qingxuan took another bite.
“Please, Lady Qingxuan, how should we quell the floods.”
“You are too courteous, This Girl wishes to speak no more.” Lü Qingxuan rolled her eyes.
Qi Lin was speechless: “Can Little Sister Qingxuan inform us.”
“Call me Elder Sister.” Lü Qingxuan giggled.
Although Qi Lin knew that she had cultivated for ten thousand years and was considered an old mosnter by age, age was the most meaningless thing in Primordial World; it pertained only to appearance. Lü Qingxuan appeared to be a twenty year old young woman, honestly lacking the mature aura of an older woman.
“Calling you ‘Elder Sister’ would be too hypocritical.” Qi Lin faintly grinned.
“As a man, you truly do not understand romance.” Lü Qingxuan finished the apple and dusted off her hands: “Seeing as this apple was tasty, Qingxuan shall inform you.”
“To break this Primordial Flood Formation, you need only use eight treasures to suppress the activated formations in the eight directions. Then, use another treasure to suppress the center. Nine treasures will combine to act as one. This can quell the floods.” Lü Qingxuan was well aware. “Of course, these nine treasures cannot be ordinary magic treasures. They must be exceptionally powerful, maybe even Earlier Heaven grade.”
Nezha twitched her mouth: “Nine Earlier Heaven grade magic treasures, how is this possible…”
Everyone was very disheartened. Lü Qingxuan may as well have said nothing at all.
It appeared that the Primordial Chaos Flood Formation indeed could only be broken by the intervention of a sage.
“Yes, this is impossible.”
“Ai, any other methods?”
“You ladies may be unable to succeed, but your man may not necessarily think the same way.” Lü Qingxuan said meaningfully.
All of the girls looked to Qi Lin, who was not dejected like them. Rather, he had sunken into contemplation, that serious expression of his quite endearing. Hou Ji suddenly had an inkling why King Yu would bless this man.
“Nine magic treasures…” Qi Lin thought of something when he heard this number.
After Yu The Great controlled the floods, he used the Nine Tripod Cauldrons to guard the land.
The Nine Tripod Cauldrons?
Qi Lin was taken aback. He then flipped open the Huaxia Ancient Diagram and searched through it. Back when he was in archaeology with his senior sister, he remembered very clearly he was extremely interested in the legend of the Nine Tripod Cauldrons. Researching the Nine Tripod Cauldrons was practically both his and his senior sister’s dream, but their harvest was did not amount to much. Still, they found some clues to their restoration.
“This is it.”
As expected, Qi Lin found depictions of the Nine Tripod Cauldrons in the Huaxia Ancient Diagram, however, these were not the cauldrons themselves but rather some of their fragments.
Qi Lin exercised his Divine Energy, yet he found he was still unable to fully light it.
“We can split the Northern Primordial into nine provinces and cast the Nine Tripod Cauldrons to suppress the floods.” Qi Lin said.
“Cast the Nine Tripod Cauldrons?” Lü Qingxuan felt this idea was quite interesting. In the mundane world, cauldrons were important tools for establishing nations. While they served as symbols of political authority, this actually was not a solution. “But to rely on just your God Transformation cultivation to cast nation-guarding treasures? Do not blame Qingxuan for dissuading you. If you can forge them, Qingxuan shall definitely devote myself to you, hee-hee.”
She had never heard of such a thing ever since Primordial World began.
“Actually…Young Lord Qi Lin’s idea can be realized…” Bai Ze hesitantly said.
“What?”
Everyone looked at her.
Qi Lin heard the meaning in her words and promptly asked: “Don’t tell me Lady Wanfang has heard of the Nine Tripod Cauldrons?”
“Back when Emperor Yao made the lords submit at Mount Tu, she had the idea to forge a ‘divine tripod cauldron’ to establish the Northern Primordial.” Bai Ze was aware of astronomy, geography, the ways of the world. Back then, Emperor Yao had even consulted with the previous “Bai Ze” on this idea.
Now, to hear Qi Lin mention the Nine Tripod Cauldrons, Bai Ze’s memories seemed to have been unlocked.
Qi Lin asked her what the outcome alter was, but it was obvious. Emperor Yao certainly did not succeed in casting it. Otherwise, a magic treasure forged by the Realm of someone like Emperor Yao of the Five Emperors would definitely be at the Earlier Heaven level.
“Emperor Yao was only a step away from casting it. Later, the Three Doctrines attacked the Heavenly Court, initiating the Register Of Deities. The casting of the cauldron was thus set aside.” Bai Ze said.
Hou Ji had also heard some legends.
Emperor Yao wanted to use the magic treasure to establish the Northern Primordial. From that moment on, the Northern Primordial would know no misfortune but experience prosperity for generations.
But to fix the Northern Primordial’s fortune in place would require enormous Divine Energy such that it was impossible even for Emperor Yao. Hou Ji had always thought these were legends and stories devised by later generations to demonstrate Emperor Yao’s compassion and benevolence. Now that Bai Ze mentioned it, this apparently happened back then indeed. “Seems the late Emperor Yao truly was very benevolent, to always be thinking about the Northern Primordial.” Hou Ji sighed.
“Even if the late Emperor Yao thought to forge the cauldron, does this mean you can succeed where she did not?” Lü Qingxuan disagreed.
“Although Emperor Yao was unsuccessful, she sealed the matter of the cauldron’s casting. If we can find information on where Emperor Yao left the cauldron back then, perhaps we can fulfill her wishes in her stead.” Hou Ji said.
“Was it even left behind?”
“It must.” Hou Ji was firm.
Bai Ze nodded because after Emperor Yao died, no one saw the divine cauldron. Prior to her death, Emperor Yao had sealed Mount Tu and dispatched people to forge the cauldron. Perhaps the secret to forging the divine cauldron lay in Mount Tu.
“This also confirms that Mount Tu is the center of Zhuolu, the saying that whoever controls Zhuolu controls the Northern Primordial.”
The discussion took a turn thanks to this glimmer of hope.
“Then it seems we must go to search around Mount Tu. Where would Emperor Yao have hid the secret of the divine cauldron.” Qi Lin said.
“But Lord Husband, we should not let too many people become aware of this matter.” Having suffered failure in their extermination of the Demonkin, Changxi appeared extremely cautious.
Qi Lin was aware of this point. He prepared to discuss with Yu The Great, to see if she knew some clues. Come to think of it, the Nine Tripod Cauldrons were closely linked to Yu The Great. He wondered what connection, if any, the two had in Primordial World.
“Yu Shiqie, why do you not go in?”
Xian Zhen’s voice suddenly came from outside.
“Young Lord Qi Lin and his wives are very intimate. Your Servant wishes not to disturb them.”
The door opened, and Xian Zhen walked in. She saw that the atmosphere in the room was a bit odd, as if each person’s face was full of joy. In this deathly, dreary rain, such a relaxed feeling also made her feel comfortable.
“What’s the matter outside.” Qi Lin asked.
“Oh, nothing. In several hours, we will leave for Zhuolu. King Yu would like to discuss plans with Your Distinguished Self.”
“En.”

Lol! Oh, if only you knew….
