“Big Brother, what is this pearl.”
Qi Qi gazed at the pearl in her hand. It was bright as moonlight, and it surprisingly felt warm in her hand. However, Qi Qi never had any sense of aesthetic and threw this “bright pearl” to Qi Lin.
“This is a moonlight bright treasure.” Wang Jian hurried back at this time.
The pearl was the most beloved accessory for Divine Names in Primordial World. However, the shelled pearl was completely white, unlike the moonlight color of an intelligent jiaozhen spirit’s condensed pearl. This moonlight bright treasure was very rare, having undergone a century, a millennium of refinement. Only when Yin spiritual qi was present would the jiaozhen spirit rise to the ocean surface and eject this pearl, borrowing the Yin spiritual power to temper the pearl’s body, to make it even more flawless.
This type of pearl that had undergone countless years of tempering by moonlight could be said to have collected the essence of the moon, to have engendered the essence of the sea. It was extremely useful; if it was ground into powder, it could be made into medicine. After ingestion, it could nourish all bones and muscles in the body, strengthening bodily resilience to an unimaginable level. It could even smooth wrinkles and allow the skin to appear glossy and unblemished.
However, moonlight bright treasure’s most famous medicinal soup was a “Half Cold Moon,” which was concocted using top-notch medical materials and moonlight bright treasure. It was brewed overnight, until the luster of the moonlight bright treasure faded, until it was simmered into a dull stone that had sublimated all of its Yin essence into the soup. The person who drank the soup could warm their qi, even if they were dead. Furthermore, it could dispel some extremely intense Yang diseases.
Hearing Wang Jian’s explanation, Qi Lin recalled two months ago that the mysterious girl had borrowed the Yin qi to cultivate. Evidently, she had suffered some injury that required Yin to mend. This “moonlight bright treasure” should be very important to her.
What impressed Qi Lin was that mysterious girl was exceptionally decisive. After Qi Qi’s staff strike killed the jiaozhen spirit, she did not hesitate to leave at all.
“This moonlight bright treasure can be sold for a high price at the Shaman Spirit Kingdom. It could even receive qualifications for the Immortality Banquet.” Wang Jian smiled: “Qi Lin, not bad for you to inadvertently obtain this.”
“This thing isn’t mine.” Qi Lin thought.
Wang Jian did not understand.
“If it wasn’t for that mysterious woman, this jiaozhen spirit would have already escaped.” Qi Lin decided it would be better to hand this moonlight bright treasure to her. After all, this item was very helpful to her.
“Just treat it as travel expense.”
“Fine, then. Do as you wish, but to be able to give something worth a thousand gold to her, even I’m a bit jealous.” Wang Jian seemingly smiled.
“I’ll give you something else someday.”
“Qi Lin, how could you ever believe that if you were a woman.” Wang Jian laughed.
…
The three of them re-embarked onto the Immortality Boat, and Qi Lin found Xu Fu on the deck.
“Xu Fu, I’ll have to trouble you to give something to your friend.”
“Hm?” Xu Fu blinked.
Qi Lin took out a box and put it in her hands: “I was just at the beach and saw a young girl kill a jiaozhen spirit. She accidentally lost this, so please return it to her.”
“She is?” Xu Fu was confused.
“I think she should be residing in the top level. Only you can see her.” Qi Lin held up his arms to show he had no evil intentions.
Xu Fu raised her brow.
“Also, please relay a message. If anything happened that displeased her, I hope she can understand. I didn’t do it on purpose.” Pausing, Qi Lin added a few words.
Something displeasing? Xu Fu was increasingly perplexed.
Qi Lin did not mind her reaction. After handing her the box, he turned and left.
“Could the person who saved Xue Sha the last time be him?” Xu Fu looked at the box: “Forget it, I’ll go ask Xue Sha.”
Special cabin.
Engraved railings and painted pillars, the eaves thrust into the sky.
Muslin gently floated in the air. Not only were Blackbird Guards standing watch, there was also a forbiddance array. Other than Xu Fu, not even Wang Jian could enter. Xu Fu entered the cabin and saw that inside was a woman dressed in clothes whiter than snow sitting on the bed, tending to her injuries.
“Xue Sha.”
The woman opened her eyes that were like ice and frost, but there was no ice-cold feeling whatsoever in them.
“Where did you go just now? How are you injured?” Xu Fu nervously asked.
“I went and looked around a bit. You came at the perfect time, I have a question for you.” The girl calmly said.
Xu Fu replied: “Your Highness, did you want to ask about a certain man’s identity?”
The girl was taken aback, “He has sought you out?”
“Yes, and he even made me hand something over to you and give you a message.” Xu Fu informed the girl of the matter Qi Lin sought her out for in full detail.
Hearing her explanation, the girl was taken aback for a moment.
“Just what happened?” Xu Fu asked: “If he has schemed against Your Highness, I will kill them right now.” The girl feigned an imposing manner as she stomped out the door. When she reached the threshold, she then noticed that something was not quite right with the scene. The girl had no intentions of stopping her; had Xu Fu said something she should not have.
Xu Fu pitifully turned her head back.
The girl was unmoved, her expression like a portrait, flawless as ice and snow, unmoved.
“You are unable to kill him.”
“Eh?” Xu Fu was unconvinced: “He is merely a Qi Refinement Ninth Deva cultivator, I have even killed Golden Core cultivators.”1
“He is not important. In short, there is nothing between he and I, no need to offend Wang Jian’s friend.” Xue Sha did not want to speak anymore of this.
“Fine, then let us see just what that man gave you.” Xu Fu curiously said.
The girl opened the wooden box. Suddenly, the room was filled with moonlight, as if they had fallen into the depths of a psychedelic trip.
The pair was stunned.
“Is this the legendary moonlight bright treasure?” Xu Fu was awestruck. “Isn’t this the moonlight bright treasure that only jiaozhen spirits can have? This is the proof that a man and woman who see this jiaozhen bright treasure together can grow old together.”
“Your Highness, you would not have been with that man…” Xu Fu had never been so shocked in her life.
“You are overthinking.” Xue Sha said, straight-faced: “However, it is a demon’s Inner Core.”
“But this is a very famous legend in the Western Sea.” Xu Fu made a show of being interested.
The girl’s expression changed slightly, “Enough. Right now, I need this item to concoct a medicinal soup. I will repay him this favor.”
“It seems it really was that young man who saved Your Highness from the Yin qi previously. However, he is only Qi Refinement Ninth Deva. How can he be so powerful.” Xu Fu was perplexed.
“There is no need for you to ask about this any further.”
Seeing her so serious, Xu Fu realized this was very important: “Your Highness’ injuries required Yin spiritual qi to heal. With this moonlight bright treasure, you can then find spirit medicines at the Immortality Banquet when the time comes. There will be a very good guarantee you can dispel the Yang qi poison in your body.”
“En.”
“I never expected that boy to be so generous. This moonlight bright treasure is worth a thousand gold.” Xu Fu clicked her tongue. No one could have possibly given something so precious to other people unless they were a lover. Could it be that what happened between them was not something unpleasant but something very pleasant? The Alchemist Of Immortality recalled the legend of lovers pertaining to the moonlight bright treasure, and her mind began to wander.
“Leave for now. I want to cultivate alone for a while.”
“Very well, Your Highness. Shall I arrange for you to meet him?”
“I have my own plans.” The girl suddenly recalled when she first saw this treasure, that scene where their souls were intertwined. That was truly an unprecedented scene, entering an unknown domain she could never have imagined, and that sensation was more wonderful than when she became a Divine Name.
She was unblemished, but she knew in that instant, she was no longer.

- OK, so she’s got some formidable combat prowess. ↩
So, just like Su Xing, ppl can’t help but assume things ab9ut Qi Lin’s m9tives. Tbf, I get why but… being so inflexible is never healthy….
But seriously, who is this Xue Sha and SO MANY FLAGS WERE RAISED!
Qi Lin BETTER get his girls some gifts. He’s still no Su Xing, but I like his character and amicable relationships.
Also, and this might be just me, but….Qi Qi reminds me of like, and inverted reflection of Gongsun Huang.
Both STUPIDLY OP, both cute lolis, and both VERY devoted to their contractors.
Where they are different are in their inverted skillsets and personalities.
…I adore Gongsun Huang so, this feels weirdly cathartic to someone who is and isn’t like her as a main character.
Not enough Qi Qi tho….
Speaking of the first series, I’m kinda glad Qi Lin didn’t get something as busted as Battle Doctrine but at the same time…. he’d level up so fast it’s not even funny… though I guess Dual M9des Seal is basically his XP booster
Nobody beats my boy Su Xing though.
Well, Xue Sha must have some high standing in the Qin court to be receiving such treatment, maybe an official of some sort.
