Qi Qi swallowed Huang Feihu’s Destiny, bolstering her power.

Qi Lin hurried over and looked at Pang Bi’s corpse.

The Cloud-piercing Arrow followed his thoughts and returned to the Huaxia Ancient Diagram.

“This Old Ape never imagined that Emissary would even have a Dark Heaven magic treasure.” The white ape appeared. It was also quite shocked to have just witnessed Qi Lin killing Pang Bi with a single arrow.

Qi Lin himself did not expect that these archaeological relics would surprisingly become treasures and that they would cross to Primordial World together with his soul. However the Huaxia Ancient Diagram still had a few things that were not illuminated, like the water cannon and the Chiyou Banner.

“Dark Heaven magic treasure.”

“Aye. Primordial World’s magic treasures are split into four types, Later Heaven, Dark Heaven, Approaching Heaven,1 Earlier Heaven.” The white ape explained. “The magic treasures refined by those below saint level are Later Heaven magic treasures, the most common in Primordial World. The strength of a magic treasure depends on the cultivator’s own magical energy levels. Stronger cultivators can use Later heaven magic treasures to contend against those of higher levels.

“Approaching Heaven magic treasures are those refined by saints and sect founders. The materials used for them are rarely seen in Primordial World, and they use the Destinies of Divine Names. Their power already approaches Thirty-third Deva, thus they are called Approaching Heaven.”

“Earlier Heaven, as the name implies, are treasures that came into being together with primordial chaos. The might of these magic treasures is absolute. Even a ‘Founder’ level Divine Name would be in fear of them. Insufficiently power cultivators who desire to control one can only die with their souls cast to oblivion.”

“As for Dark Heaven magic treasures…These are magic treasures refined by the Xuannü of the Nine Heavens. The Xuannü is Primordial World’s most peculiar and mysterious Divine Name. She has refined every sort of magic treasure, and they are already a classification unto themselves. Better than Later Heaven, weaker than Approaching Heaven. Thus, they have been termed Dark Heaven.”

The white ape lectured, and Qi Lin listened very intently.

The four types of magic treasures were identified very simply. Later Heaven magic treasures could not change Heaven, Dark Heaven treasures could shake Heaven, Approaching Heaven could make the heavens shake, and Earlier Heaven magic treasures were such that even the “Thirty-three Devas” would need to be afraid.

However, using the Heaven-shaking Bow and the Cloud-piercing Arrow practically exhausted Qi Lin’s True Qi. If not for the fact he cultivated the Dual Modes Fortune Body, that arrow just now would have left himself seriously wounded, even if it did manage to slay Pang Bi.

“When the so-called Invested Deities battle, it’s to the death?” Qi Lin sighed as he glanced at Pang Bi’s wide-eyed corpse.

“Even without the Register Of Deities, Divine Names would still slaughter one another. But the Register Of Deities allows for this kind of massacre to be more conscionable.” The white ape stroked his beard.

“It’s a dog eat dog world.” Qi Lin muttered.

The white ape nodded, feeling this phrase was much too apt. “Since ancient times!”

“Qi Qi, are you hurt?” Qi Lin asked.

Qi Qi shook her head. It seemed she merely treated this as a simple warm-up.

Qi Lin took Pang Bi’s pouch; inside it was a Sumeru space. Huang Feihu was a great general of the Yinshang, and as her Invested Deity Emissary, Pang Bi possessed many items. Most of them were medicines to supplement or refine qi. These medicines were perfect for himself to cultivate to Qi Refinement Ninth Heaven.

Other than the Hard Chain Spear, Qi Lin also found a “Porcupine Quill Lance”2 magic treasure that required control by thought. Evidently, Pang Bi’s thought cultivation was insufficient, otherwise, he could have manipulated two magic treasures at once to attack Qi Lin.

Qi Lin then found the seal of the Yin Shang General, the wine and foods other tribes consecrated, as well as a few books.

Qi Qi apathetically watched Qi Lin sift through the items in the pouch. She sat to the side, refining Huang Feihu’s Destiny.

“Found it.” Qi Qi opened her eyes and looked at a black letter in Qi Lin’s hand.

“Emissary, this is what you were searching for?” The white ape asked.

“This is his ‘Hell Nine Fingers.’ I don’t have many abilities right now, so I can use this for defense.” Pang Bi’s Hell Finger just now had brought him considerable trouble.

The white ape agreed.

Qi Lin then flipped through something akin to an imperial edict and carefully read through it, “The Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded Banner. It turns out Huang Feihu came to the Ten Thousand Beasts Barbarian tribes to gather banner guardians to go to Zhaoge. Di Xin, the King of Zhou, wishes to initiate the Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded.”

“The Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded Banner is an Approaching Heaven magic treasure. It is said that there are twelve of them altogether, and nine of them were given to nine of the Ten Thousand Beasts Barbarian tribes for use as tribe-protecting treasures. The twelve of them together can activate the ‘Ten Thousand Beasts Unbounded’ formation, which is very formidable.”

“Is that so? Can it match up against me?” Qi Qi asked curiously.

“Given the Great King’s current Realm, to be caught in this formation would be to face poor odds.” The white ape said forthrightly.

“Brother, let’s seize it.” Qi Qi licked her lips. She was a bit interested.

Qi Lin had planned on this. The beginning of next month would be the competition for the Pixiu tribe’s banner guardian. The winner would escort the Pixiu Banner to Zhaoge, and Qi Lin could resolve the last wish of this body’s original soul.

“Then let’s prepare. We’ll return to the Pixiu tribe soon.” Qi Lin chuckled: “I’m already impatient to go back and see that Young Master Shang Ci’s face.”

Pixiu Tribe.

The banner competition was fiercely underway.

Hundreds of the clan’s grown men carried out an intense battle to attain the right to be the guardian of the “Pixiu Banner.” This time, however, was not like the others. Other than protecting the Pixiu Tribe’s banner, they were also required to leave for the capital city of Yin Shang, “Zhaoge.” As far as the barbarian tribes trapped at Seven Dangers Mountain all-year round were concerned, this was a once in a blue moon opportunity.

Tribal elders Shang Qi and others sat upright and still as they monitored the competition grounds. There was a large banner behind Shang Qi, and on it was an ancient pattern, the center of which was a pixiu totem.

“I believe that none other than Yangjun will be the Pixiu Banner guardian this time. Shang Ci and Shang Meng can assume roles as law protectors for her.” An elder assessed the battle.

“Exactly. Yangjun is indeed a once in a century genius for our tribe. She surprisingly opened her Heavenly Spirit Meridians after returning from Kui Mountain and has now reached Qi Refinement Seventh Deva.”

“Seems that wolf child’s disappearance did not dishearten Yangjun. On the contrary, she was able to concentrate fully on strengthening her martial arts. Not bad, not bad.”

Hearing the other elders’ words, Shang QI could not help but smile.

In the arena, a girl dressed in brown leather clothes was facing a powerful man. That girl’s build was graceful and slender. She had long silky hair, twinkling eyes, red lips, and wheat-colored skin. On her forehead, she wore an ornament that appeared all the more bright.

She was none other than Shang Qi’s daughter, Shang Yangjun.

“Little Sister Yangjun is truly amazing, to surprisingly have already cultivated to Qi Refinement Seventh Deva.” The young man facing her was of a stocky build, about eighteen to nineteen in age, but he was very experienced, his expression unflustered.

Shang Meng was the elder son of the Pixiu Tribe’s second elder, Shang Li.

Shang Yangjun was silent, her eyes like stagnant water.

Shang Meng did not dare be careless. He took a deep breath and circulated the Black And White Universe Origin Chant. This was the cultivation method passed down in the Pixiu Tribe, and it was able to enhance cultivation and magical energy. Altogether, it had seven levels in Realm.

Shang Meng panted slightly. His Primordial True Qi became black and white lights that surrounded his body.

“Qi like black and white, parting the Jing and Wei Rivers. Brother Shang Meng’s Black And White Universe Origin Chant has already reached the sixth Realm, ‘Full?'” Shang Yangjun calmly said.

“Although I am only True Qi Sixth Deva, my Black And White Universe Origin Chant is already fully prepared. Yangjun, be careful.” Shang Meng shouted and swung his palm.

A large True Qi palmprint swatted heavily at Shang Yangjun. This palm’s might was enormous, just like a bear’s claw. Even a large boulder would disintegrate.

This “Pixiu Power Palm” immediately left the other tribesmen astonished.

“Incredible, as expected of Shang Meng. This Pixiu Power Palm has been cultivated to be so fierce.”

“Even if Shang Yangjun is True Qi Seventh Deva, she will not be able to handle it so easily.”

The Pixiu Power Palm attacked. Shang Yangjun cast a sidelong glance, her brows raised, and she similarly attacked with Pixiu Power Palm. The two True Qi palmprints collided, releasing an enormous jolt, shaking the entire mountain forest.

“What? Shang Yangjun is actually able to match Brother Meng’s attack?”

The elders were stunned.

Shang Yangjun’s feet moved, and she rapidly closed distance. Shang Meng circulated his Sixth Deva Earthly Fiend Peak True Qi. He chopped with both palms, and countless palm-shadows covered the sky and earth.

Each palm-shadow smashed stones to bits.

The girl waved her sleeve, and True QI flowed around her entire body, becoming a parasol-shaped barrier that allowed the palm-shadows to pound it. Shang Yangjun tapped with the tip of her foot and rushed through the myriad palm-shadows with extreme speed.

“Black And White Unsplit!”

The girl’s left and right fingers tapped through empty space, striking Shang Meng’s acupuncture points.

This gesture was like a butterfly moving through a meadow, graceful and flowing. The two rays of True Qi pierced through Shang Meng’s chest. The young man’s body stiffened under incomparable pain, “Ah!” He stomped his leg, forcing himself upright as his arms moved for a bear hug.

Pixiu Hugs Stump!!

This hug was like a fierce pixiu beast rushing forth. Both sides would practically face severe injury.

Shang Yangjun was unfazed as she pointed her finger again, evading the man’s attack. Then, her palm struck his chest. A ray of True Qi attacked, knocking Shang Meng heavily into the ground.

The girl nimbly rotated, her black hair dancing with her as her finger retracted the True Qi.

“Black And White Universe Origin Chant Seventh Deva ‘Ruyi’ Realm?” Shang Qi was elated.

Everyone was stunned.

“Amazing, amazing, Elder Shang Qi is truly fortunate. At seventeen years old, his daughter is able to cultivate the Black And White Universe Origin Chant to its highest level.”

“As expected of our tribe’s genius.”

The elders uttered words of praise.

“Is Brother Shang Meng alright?” Shang Yangjun quietly asked.

Shang Meng covered his chest, “Many thanks to Little Sister Yangjun for holding back. Your Servant is ashamed of his inferiority.”

“Pity that you are unable to activate magic treasures during the competition. Otherwise, Yangjun perhaps would not have been a match for Brother Meng’s ‘Heavenly Qian Plate.'”

“Ha, ha, the banner guardian must rely on their own strength. A magic treasure cannot represent anything in that case. Besides, Little Sister Yangjun has the ‘Water Wave Mirror.'”

Shang Meng circulated True Qi as the tribal physician hurried over to examine him.

Shang Yangjun took her victor’s seat beside her father. Shang Qi looked at his daughter in gratification: “You have done well. I had though that with Shang Xuan’s death, you would be depressed, but it seems This Father was overthinking.”

“Daughter has already realized that life and death are dependent on one’s own strength. Shang Yangjun shook her head. “Besides, Shang Xuan’s nature is weak. Perhaps he already would have met such a fate one day.”

“Weakness is a taboo in cultivation!” Shang Qi grunted.

Next was another battle. The victor would then face Shang Yangjun for the right to be the Pixiu Banner’s guardian. The one to become the guardian could take possession of the “Pixiu Banner” for cultivation. To cultivators at True Qi Ninth Heaven, this was an opportunity to grow stronger.

Shang Ci strut forth onto the competition arena under everyone’s attention.

He fanned himself and glanced around at the tribesmen present: “Whoever wants to be humiliated by me, hurry up and come up. I want to face Little Sister Yangjun.”

Shang Ci had Qi Refinement Sixth Deva in strength, but he cultivated the inherited “Li Heaven Chant.” The power was like a cannon, successive without leaving any room to maneuver. If not dead, the target would be seriously injured. In the prior competitions, many of the tribe disciples were now unconscious.

“I concede.”

The disciple who should have faced him tactfully withdrew. He did not want to spend the next few months in bedrest.

“A wise man submits to the circumstances!” Shang Ci sneered.

Seeing him so complacent, the tribe’s disciples helplessly fumed. They could only hope that Shang Yangjun could disgrace him in return, however, given her personality, she perhaps would not do so.

Just at this moment, a chilling voice suddenly interrupted.

“Then allow me to be your opponent!”

Upon hearing this familiar voice, Shang Yangjun’s eyes suddenly widened.

Everyone looked and saw a young man dressed in hemp clothes walk over.

Everyone was silent.

“Impossible, you were actually alive?” Shang Ci screamed.

The hemp-garmented young man smiled and said in a mocking voice: “That face of guilty astonishment really is so wonderful!”

The newcomer.

Qi Lin!
